    Hi guys,
I have a yellow *!* mark on my Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter, and when I attempt to install it manually, it says it is already installed, but the driver cannot start (CODE 10). I'm also having an IP problems with my computer [Windows has detected
an IP address conflict], but I lack the knowledge and experience to know if this two problems are connected.
I've tried 2 device-updating programs (DriverTuner by LionSea, Driver Booster by IObit), yet neither of them ware able to help me .
If ANYONE out there have a solution for me, please submit it!

  • Need to install Standard VGA Graphics Adapter

My computer initially started with a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter but now its gone and some applications won't run properly. How can I fix this?

    Hi,
The Computer indeed can't work properly without VGA Graphics Adapter. Did you remove it manually or it gone accidently?
If you did it, get it back.
If not, like arnavsharma said, check its status from Device Manager. And then try right-click on the 'Standard VGA' adapter and select 'Update driver' from the list.

    Hi:
You need to install the graphics driver if you see a standard vga adapter listed.
You should be seeing two adapters...Intel HD graphics and AMD Radeon HD 6490M .

  • Boot Camp & Windows 7 -- "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" (This is wrong.)

    Hello,
I am hoping I can find some help here, I have purged the internet looking for a solution, all to no avail.
    Heres the situation:
I have a 15" mac book pro unibody.
    500 gb hdd
    4 gb ram
    9600m gt graphics
Anyways, I decided to install windows 7 on a partition I made using boot camp, hoping to play the new Dragon Age: Origins game.
Everything went well with the install, except for the graphics card.
When I open the device manager, this is what it says:
    www.m2mlinks.com/cs445/images/Capture1.PNG
    "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"
Clearly wrong, clearly does not work with Dragon Age:
    www.m2mlinks.com/cs445/images/Capture2.PNG
("Graphics card not supported for this game")
So I don't know what to do, here's what I HAVE done.
--I tried going to the nVidia website and downloading the latest driver for my graphics card, only to have it say this when I try to run it:
    www.m2mlinks.com/cs445/images/Capture2.PNG
("There is no drivers in this package for the hardware on your computer")
--I tried going into Device Manage, right clicking Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, clicking properties->update drive->browse my computer->let me pick->picking my latest nVidia folder->picking 9600m gt from the list-> next. This looks like it starts to install, but then tells me that the control panel was not able to install successfully, so its REVERTING to the last working driver, uninstalling and restarting as I scream "Nooooooo!!".
--I tried changing the nvam.inf file, editing the device key value of the graphics I retrieved from running dxdiag, however when I ran dxdiag, it was the same device key as the one already in the nvam.inf file, so that changed nothing.
--Lastly (i just remembered this, I did this first), I tried downloading the latest BootCamp version (2.1 or something?), and this changed nothing as well.
I am severely exhausted and stressed from trying to get this to work, and I am in DIRE need of help, since one of the only reasons I put windows 7 on this was to play video games!!! Please dont let it be all for nothing haha.
Thanks for ANY help anyone can give me, I will answer ANY questions!!

Boot Camp in Snow Leopard does not yet "officially" support Windows 7, but such support has been promised "before the end of the year." See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3920
Presumably the updated Boot Camp will support drivers not currently available, such as the appropriate video drivers. The end of the year looms and there is as yet no word about better support for Windows 7. Lets hope there are new drivers, as there are many others in your situation, although plenty of other people report they are using Windows 7 and Boot Camp. I prefer to wait for the official release by Apple.

  • Can I use a mini display port to VGA adapter and then a VGA to av adapter to connect my MacBook pro to my standard definition tv?

Can I use a mini display port to VGA adapter and then a VGA to av adapter to connect my MacBook pro to my standard definition tv?

No. You need a converter box like this to go with your MDP-VGA adapter:

Oh...and I was supposed to know that how, since your PC came with Windows 8?
You shouldn't keep things a secret.
    Try this driver.

  • Vga standard graphics adapter driver update

Hi does anyone know where I can find an updated VGA standard graphic adapter driver.? or what make it is?My young one is trying to play Roblox but keeps getting a message that the driver needs to be updated. Also if it is possible to install an other graphics card.

    Hi,
You need to be running DirectX 9 at a minimum and it's not on your PC per PC image that you posted. You can try installing Directx but I suspect that you might need a video card.  If you need a video card, then it's an older AGP style, 1.5v card that would be rated for Directx 9 and would work with the power supply size in your PC.
    Good luck!

  • T420s-NVIDIA NVS 4200m shows up as Standard VGA

    Hey all,
So I've had this problem for a while now, I know that in my T420s there is a NVIDIA NVS 4200m GPU, but it refuses to recognize that it even exists. I'm running it in NVIDIA Optimus mode, but in Device Manager, all that shows up under the Display Driver are Intel(R) HD Graphics and  another which says Standard VGA Graphics adapter (which can't start due to a 'Code 10')
Why is it that my NVIDIA doesn't show up? How can I get my T420s to recognize and use it over the Intel HD?
Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I got my new T420s today with nVidia NVS 4200M and after turning it on, it just showed standard video with 1024x768.
In device manager it showed both standard VGA graphics and NVIDIA NVS 4200M but when I right clicked on the desktop it did not give me an option to choose nVidia, but just standard VGA.
I updated the nVidia graphics driver from here (7 Nov 2011, the one from April 2011 was not enough)
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS014142
I installed, restarted and nVidia showed up with all display options
    Problems resolved!

  • Device failed to start (Code 10)

Here's a mind bender for you.
Hope the collective consciousness can provide some insight.
    The configuration:
    TBird 1333
    Epox 8k5a2+ (KT333)
    512MB DDR
    2x 40GB Maxtor HDD
    several GF4 4200's
    SB Live Player
    DLink DFE 530-TX
    400W power suppply
    Windows XP Pro
    The problem:
A seemingly random time after a clean Win-install, the Geforce4 driver will fail to start upon boot. Desktop will appear in 640x480 resolution 4 bit color, or, very rarely if I'm lucky, in 800x600x256.
In Device Manager the following error is displayed for the display adapter: "The device failed to start (code 10)". Translated, that means the driver could not start due to the hardware being absent.
Before this failure everything would work just fine, system is 100% stable. There is no traceable event that seems to trigger this problem.
After this failure there is no way to fix the system except to format and re-install or restore from a Ghost image taken before the trouble started. Well, there was one occasion where I was fed up with it one day, turned it off and when I powered up the next day it was working again (yes, I have a witness). Windows System Restore occasionally works too, mostly does not.
    Things I have tried:
Two different motherboards, one KT333, one KT133A, same problem.
All versions of BIOS of both boards (even modified ones)
    APIC and PIC IRQ modes.
All unneeded devices (serial ports etc.) disabled
Vga card has it's own IRQ, not shared
    Different versions of Detonator drivers
Different VIA 4 in 1 drivers
    With and without XP SP1
This happened with 3 different 4200's now, VisionTek, Leadtek, and now MSI. Other (older) VGA card in same system, no problem.
    Some other thoughts:
The fact that a restore from backup CD fixes the problem is a good indication that this is a software malfunction.
Does anybody have any idea what could possibly be causing this?
This has been going on for over a month now and I'm fed up. If I can't resolve this soon I will have to switch over to the Dark Side, as much as I would hate to.

try uninstalling all drivers under device manager even the hidden ones, and make sure its uninstalled in add/remove programs
    then restart
let windows find the card, restart
    then install ur Det drivers
rushing the computer on this one causes all sorts of problems, i did the same thing

  • Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter flickers

I have 2 Samsung SyncMaster 23 in, HD Displays connected to my Mac Mini. The Display connected via the Mini DP to VGA adapter flickers erratically. This started happening after installing the latest upgrade of OSX Mountain Lion. I called Apple support, they gave me a list of steps to try to fix the problem, which I followed to the letter, to no avail. The problem is annoying, to say the least. I tried to find out if there was a firmware update for the adapter, but I am running the latest firmware (1.03).
I would appreciate any help to solve this issue.

    Thank you for your message.
    1. Both monitors only have VGA input.
    2. The other adapter, Mini-DVI to VGA has always worked properly.
    3. The Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter is an Apple original product I bought at an Apple store. I bought 2 adapters.
    4. Actually I have 2  Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapters: The one I use with my Mac Mini, and another adapter I use to connect my Mac Book Pro to a Panasonic projector.
    5. I have tried using both adapters, and the flickering problem is present using either adapter.
    6. I believe the flickering problem is definitely something that needs to be addressed and solved by Apple. The adapter is its product, and should work as advertised, no matter what version of OSX I am running. Please remember that there was no flickering before I upgraded to the latest OSX Mountain Lion.
    7. I do not believe buying an adapter from another manufacturer, as you suggest, would solve the problem.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Mini- DVI to VGA adapter Or is that, DVI to DVI?

I am having difficulty figuring out which adapter to purchase if I want to use my MacBook to make a Keynote or PowerPoint Presentation with an LCD projector.
Do I need the Mini- DVI to VGA adapter, or is it DVI to Video adapter, or DVI to DVI adapter? Good grief! I've made fabulous-looking slides and just want to take my computer to the lecture hall, connect it to their projector, and give my talk. How does one decide which cable to get, if I don't know for certain what kind of projector they are using?
Aren't all LCD projectors standardized this way?
    Thanks for the clarification.
    ~ john

As mentioned, VGA is much more common than DVI is on projectors, so the mini-DVI to VGA will certainly work more often than the mini-DVI to DVI will.
It costs $19USD, so I would get both and use the best option available to you when you get to the location and see what kind of projector they have.
You also may want to pack the VGA and a DVI cable just in case. You never know if the location will have one on hand, or if it gets misplaced just in time for your arrival.
