Since Sunday the Standby Button is not functoning anymore
is ther a solution I can notz shut off my iPhone

Hiere is a solution if your power/stand-by button is broke.
Enable Assistive Touch: Tap SETTINGS, General, Accessibility, AssistiveTouch (near the bottom) and tap AssistiveTouch to ON. You will now notice a small dark square with a circle in the middle (you can move this square anywhere). Tap the dark circle to open the assistiveTouch menu, then tap Device and tap and HOLD the Lock Screen icon. This will bring up the iPhone's Power-Off slider - no need for a power button any longer! **Voted Best Method to turn off an iPhone with a broken power button"
To restart just keep on charging your phone would start.

Try connecting to iTunes and the computer and update that way. See if that cures your timeout issue. I am used to seeing timeouts with a USB connection rather than doing it OTA.

My iPhone 4s is not charging properly since updating to iOS 8

I had been putting off updating my iPhone to iOS 8 after hearing much negative feedback about it. But I decided that updating it couldn't be too bad. Now my phone will only charge to around 40% while I'm sleeping (roughly 8 hours of not being used). If I'm on something like facetime, the battery life will continue to lower drastically, but if I simply just sit and don't use much energy it will charge to no higher then 92%. I don't want to have to constantly worry about battery life nor, not be able to leave my phone alone and have it barely charge. I really am not looking to buy a new phone so I'm hoping one of you can help me out. I've already cleaned out the Lightning port and browsed several battery saving tips. I just don't know what's wrong.

Since I updated my iphone my battery doesn't even last a day, it used to last a couple without needing charging

I have read in other threads that with the new software, location stays on for most apps. You would have to manually go into settings and change that. I do know that will drain your battery like crazy. Also, since there are WiFi issues with iOS6 as well, if its having a hard time connecting to WiFi, that will also drain your battery at warp speed.
Hope those little tid bits help. The iPhone 5 drains a lot faster than the 4 and 4s as well according to many threads on here.

So, let's go:
My iPhone does not connect to any WLAN/WIFI networks at all - just some days after updating it to 3.0. Now what to do?
1. Change your WLAN-/WIFI-station to non secured (no password)
2. Try to connect your iPhone - most probably it won't connect
3. Change airplane mode to "On" and wait 10 sec
4. Change airplane mode to "Off" and wait 10 sec
5. Change airplane mode to "On" and wait 10 sec
6. Change WIFI to "Off" and wait 10 sec
7. Change WIFI to "On" and wait 10 sec
8. Try to connect - most probably it will connect!
9. Now change your WLAN-/WIFI-station to secured 128-Bit-WEP and give it a password
10. Change WIFI to "Off" and wait 10 sec
7. Change WIFI to "On" and wait 10 sec
8. Try to connect with your new password - most probably it will connect again!
In my case it now even connects easily to all the other networks again now!

Listening to itunes on my iphone 4, since updating to ios 5, it will stop playing but shows the triangle like it is still playing.

Does anyone know why my music keeps stopping randomely on my iPhone 4? It just started since updating to the latest ios. I think it is only happening when it is a playlist of some kind, Genius or my own. Inconsistently I can get it to start playing again by hitting the shuffle, repeat, genius, or next but there is no pattern. Sometimes it is not even playing the song it says it is. It is very annoying.

I have both Apple 30 pin component and a composite cables. I also have IPhone 5 and a Lightning-to-30 pin adapter. What accessory shall I buy to arrange TV out from my IPhone on my TV. My TV does not have HDMI nor WiFi. Thanks

A little while ago Apple changed the way the video out functions. Once upon a time, just connecting the AV cable from the phone to the TV ported the pictures and movies directly. Now it only works if the application ports the audio and video out, a function no longer handled in the system files, according to the Apple store tech today.
It all depends on whether or not the app developer built in a TV out function. Most of them don't have this functionality. I used to use presentation software for business from my phone, to a projector or large screen TV. That no longer works. I used to be able to flip through my photo album and see all that on the TV screen, the audience could tell me which photo they wanted to view, click on that one and it fills the screen, go back to the albums, flip through about 500 photos on phone, all that was visible on the TV for the whole room to see. Can't do that any more. Now the only way you can view photos on the TV is to use their "slideshow" app, which doesn't allow any flexibility, or flipping through pictures. If you try to advance the slides manually you get kicked out of "slideshow" and the TV screen goes blank. Until Apple reverses this "development" there's no work-around available. Someone has to develop an app that will allow this functionality and include a TV out functionality in the app.
BTW, the app store tech said that the only way to mirror the screen of the iPhone on the TV is to buy the Apple TV box, which now has that mirror function. So, now for my business I will have to lug that box and a huge TV around with me everywhere I go to do my presentations! Sweet!

Will there be Future iPhone 5 "Ipod Out" support? Adapter perhaps?

I have pre-ordered an iPhone 5, but I' have realised that it wont work with my car head unit - which cost nearly £2000 and was bought specifically to control, and display song information from my iPhone.
It has been absolutely brilliant. Being able to control tracks from my steering wheel, seeing the artwork on the screen and the track name and artist. It made people go "wow".
Unfortunately, the Ipod Out feature that allows control of the iphone from the steering wheel appears not to be supported due to the new lightning connector, nor does the 30pin adapter correct this.
I am now faced with the odd possiblity of having to sell my iPhone 5 when I get it, and go back to a 4S, as it literally is the most important way, as a huge fan of music whilst driving, in which I use my iPhone day to day.
I really really hope that Apple have a way to add "Ipod Out" support to the iPhone 5, so that it can again be controlled via a car's steering wheel.
Cutting out a feature that helps prevent distractions, accidents, even deaths is wrong.
I will happily pay whatever Apple wants for the adapter in future, but I need to know its possible, otherwise I will have to go back to a 4S, as I cant be rooting in my glovebox to change iphone tracks.
Does anyone know if Apple will be creating a future adapter that supports iPod Out, to bring safety back to the millions of cars that currently can control iphones and ipods through the steering wheel?
It is an offence in the United Kingdom to interact with a mobile device in a car, even if its texting, or changing ipod tracks. For UK iPhone owners - Ipod Out is a legal requirement to use the ipod in the car. Please Apple, dont go backwards on car safety, I plead with you!

From that I can only assume that the CONNECTOR does support iPod out, just not the adapter.
I currently have a Pioneer AVIC-Z130bt and have the same issue at hand.
So the real question is, how soon will pioneer be able to research and engineer a cable that goes from the lightning port to our radios?
Also, I wonder, if I were to take the lightning cable that came with the iphone, plug it into the usb port that the iphone cable plugs into, then take a male-male headphone cable and plug it into the other female cable attached, would THAT work? Just wondering... I doubt it, but what if...

This is regardless of whether I am in a good Wi-Fi zone or not. I like to use Find My iPhone to remotely track my battery charging status whenever my phone is charging in a different room. That's been really handy, which is why I really need to get this fixed. No matter what computer I use, the problem is always the same.
My device uses iOS 7. My question is: do I need to upgrade my device? If not, what should I do? I do not wish to upgrade my device, especially considering the bad things I've heard about iOS 8.

You don't need to update to iOS 8 to use Find My iPhone. If you haven't already tried, go to Settings>iCloud>Find My iPhone and turn it off, then reset your phone (hold the sleep/wake and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release). After it restarts, turn Find My iPhone back on and see if it works properly now.
