Standby light flashing cmt nez30

My system was playing fine; suddenly it turned off and the standby light started flashing. Ive unplugged & re-plugged the power cord, all I get is the word "Please" in the display and then it turns off again, wiht the light flashing and wont turn on again. Any ideas?

The System may turn OFF and standby light will flash if the VOLTAGE SELECTOR (for some models) is not set to local power line voltage. Check if any VOLTAGE SELECTOR switch is available on your system.
Also, check if anything is blocking the ventilation holes on the top or back of the system.
If the unit is connected via power strip/surge protector, then connect it directly to the wall outlet.
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, then initiate a service request to ship the system to Sony service center for repair.

No Standby light on K9A2 CF?

I have a K9A2 CF motherboard and an Antec P182 case. I have the case wires conected to the JFP1 correctly. The power light comes on (steady blue on), the hard drive light works (flashing when working), but no light for standby mode (slow blue flashing).
My previous board did flash slowly while in standby. Is there no standby light with a K9A2 CF in either S1 or S3 sleep mode?

For a "standbye" indicator, use pin 2 & 4 on Front Panel Connectors JFP1 on the K9A2 board. If your case does not come with an LED, go to suppliers such as FrozenCPU (search under 3-mm LED and LED 2-pin cable).
The LED should be OFF when the computer is ON. The LED should turned ON when the computer goes into a suspend state. (If the LED in ON when you start the computer, just reverse the LED polarity.)

I am the first time user of the time capsule, please help how to proceed?
I have set up the first time and my airport time capsule does not set successfully, then I try to reset to factory setting. After this, although I use the ethenet cable to connect the router to the airport, the status light flash amber, always, even after the reset.
Also, I can see that airport time capsule base station from the wireless network when airport is plugged in. However, when I want to access to it.

I am having difficult problems with the FocusritePro14 it works for a few then the firewire light flashes it cuts in an out then my MacBookPro crashes and restarts what can be the problem?

I am trying to figure out why this interface never works like it should, I have the lastest drivers 10.8 OS, The firewire cuts in an out and then crahses my computer, it was working fine for a good month, and then it does this. The people at Focusrite are clueless to what is going on. This is horrible engenerring on there part. There are three lights on the interface they all light up, then half way through a recording or just lisiting to music, the FW light flashes and cuts out, and now the mac is rebooting when it does that. I highly doubt it is a simple fix, or a bad wire. I have the original cable for the interface that came with it, hooked up to a sonet adapter to fit in the macbook pro because the geniuses at apple decided that they would make that port small.

MS-7345 (P35 platinum) will not boot (red standby light)

I shut down today and went to boot back up again and nothing happened. I opened up the case to find that the red standby light on my motherboard was on but nothing was happening when I tried to start it up. I have tried to use my reset switch instead of my power switch to see if it was that but that does nothing too. There are no beeps or anything like that. I have even removed my graphics card and memory to see if that will help but there is no luck. I have checked the cpu and no damage appears to be there also the same with memory and other components as well as everything on the motherboard. What is happening?

C6380 Unresponsive. Multiple lights flashing. Screen is white.

After several years of dependable use, my C6380 may be dead. The following lights flash about every second: (small light by + sign, Print Photos, Red Eye Removal, On-Off and blue Wireless light. Screen is white. If I hold down Print Photos and On-Off buttons, screen changes to green with numbers 1 thru 5 in white. Lights quit blinking (On-Off light and small light below memory stick opening are on). On-Off does not work, must unplug. Ink carriage does not move when cover is opened, so I cannot remove ink cartridges. Is there help for this machine?

Apple TV loses picture output and status light flashes rapidly after 5 minutes hooked up via HDMI - DVI cable

Apple TV connected to a 2005 50" plasma monitor with DVI input via belekin HDMI to DVI cable. Unit worked perfectly long enough to get it connected to the wireless network and begin the itunes registration process when there was a loss of signal message on the screen from the monitor and the Apple TV status light flashed rapidly and continuously. Reset and reboot yeilded flashing rapid status light and no output detected from the monitor. I contacted support online and was told to return the unit to the apple store. I returned home with another brand new apple tv and connected it in the same manner with exactly the same results. Is there something with the HDMI - DVI interface that is causing this? Are there known issues with the HDMI - DVI connection to Apple TV with older plasma monitors?

The Apple TV doesn't actually support DVI. Some have managed to get it to work others have had varying issues with it.

Sleep light flashes 5 times - no beeps. What does it mean?

I have a white 2008 Macbook 2.4 Ghz. I recently installed 10.6 from scratch via Retail DVD and the Macbook worked fine. I updated via Software Update and installed all the updates that appeared. There was also a Firmware update to install, which I did after the update to 10.6.8.
But since then, the Macbook has serious video problems.
It boots okay, but the sequence is now:
- front sleep light flashes 5 times; there are no error beeps
- I hear the startup chime
- the Apple logo and spinning wheel appear, and bootup continues
- at the point where the screen goes blue, and would normally boot to the desktop, the screen now goes black and the Macbook appears to go to sleep
If I wait for a couple of minutes, when I press a key to wake the Macbook from sleep: the DVD spins up, the sleep light flashes 5 times, and I now see the desktop. But then the screen goes black after about 10 seconds.
Before the screen goes black, I can see that the boot seems to have completed okay. I have a Wifi connection and the date and time are correct.
If I go really fast, I can move the arrow to the Apple icon in the top bar and choose Shut down or Restart.
I can boot from the internal HD, an external FW HD and an Install DVD.
I can hold down the Option key and I get all the bootable volumes to boot from. I can choose any of them, then start the boot process, but at the same point - the blue screen - the screen goes black and the Macbook goes to sleep.
The Macbook works perfectly fine when connected to an external monitor. In the Display preferences, only the external monitor is available. The Macbook monitor is not listed. As well, iSight and Photo Booth report that no camera is connected.
I've found some info on the Apple site re. the 5 sleep light flashes, but it only refers to the Macbook Air, and indicates a problem with the battery.
Has anyone seen this problem with the Macbook?

From EZ Jim's link, there was another link to this info at the Apple site, re. Power on Self-Tests:
The power on self-test resides in the ROM of the computer. This test runs whenever the computer is turned on after being fully shut down (the power-on self-test does not run if the computer is only restarted).
If a fault is detected during the test, you will not hear a normal startup chime. Instead, the system will beep as explained below. If you experience one of these beeps, you may call your Apple Authorized Service Provider for additional troubleshooting assistance.
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
In addition to the beeps, on some computers the power LED will flash a corresponding number of times plus one. The LED will repeat the sequence after approximately a 5-second pause. The tones are only played once.
As I wrote, I don't get the Error Beeps. I've had these on other Macs, so I know what they are. Here, I only get the LED flashes.
What is interesting above is that they say that the Power LED will flash a corresponding number of times (as the beeps) PLUS ONE. In my case, then, if I got 5 flashes, then might it mean NO GOOD BOOT IMAGES IN THE BOOT ROM?
Anyway, it doesn't seem to have the flashing LED problem any more. No idea where to go from here.

That normally indicates an issue with system memory. The startup sequence can't complete the boot due to a memory issue. Take it in for service.

Have a nx9600 and when it tries to reboot, the hard drive light comes on, the 2 lock lights flash

At boot, the hard drive light comes on, the 2 lock lights flash simultanously (A and 1 ) , 2 of the 3 fans come on, then it appears to turn off. It will sit in a loop through the reboot process until the power and the battery have been removed.
Have replaced the drive and the center fan. The replaced fan is new and an HP fan. When I have been able to get it to boot , loaded windows and linux on the new drive.
If it sits long enough and you pray it may reboot. Once I turned it upside down and it rebooted.
Have had the system up and running for hours with no problem, then have to reboot or a shutdown and won't reboot.
Suggestions ?

Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
