  • Using ipad 1& component video cable to view hulu on the tv

Bought component video cables from apple, hooked up to tv & ipad. No video from hulu. Any ideas? Have i exceeded the capability of this?

Hulu has only activated their TV out through HDMI on iPad 2.
Hulu has not activated TV out for component or composite cables on either iPad1 or iPad2.
I sent an email to Hulu about this issue.
The reason they gave me was that they are still trying to secure content rights to stream content to mobile devices that can stream content out of them to any video device.
So, unless you have an iPad 2 using Apple HDMI connector to one of the new HDTV sets through HDMI, your, currently, out of luck.
This may change, but do not know when.
It's frustrating because Apple TV put works fine with NetFlix.
I am a Hulu+ subscriber and feel like this should, already be a feature if I am paying customer.
Hulu, right is like all the video apps from the networks.
They just won't allow outputting the iPad video stream to your TV.
All of the broadcast network apps do not have TV out capability so you can watch the content streamed through the iPad to whatever TV you own.
It's frustrating and stubbornness on the the part of the major networks.
I do not know they are not including this functionality?
The still run commercials on these apps like regular network broadcasts.
They should all just enable the TV out functionality.
Our family stop using cable, I end up watching network news and shows on my 10" iPad screen instead of the signal being allowed to output through my iPads cable connector to my TV for viewing.
    Ridiculous!

  • How to use iPad airplay for video to Apple TV

This has worked consistently in the past.  I use the Amazon Instant Video app on my iPd Air to play a TV epsode, then direct it to the Apple TV

    What is the problem now?
What iOS level are you running?
If iOS 7, is the Airplay control visible in the Control Panel (access Control Panel by swiping up from the bottom of the screen)?

  • Using iPad to run video at a trade show

I understand with an iPad dock I can plug in a display into the pad and run playlists. Is there a cable that connects from the iPad connector to a DVI connector?
I have hours of video and slideshows that I keep running on a loop all day long. My wife talked to a genius at the Apple store and he said the iPad could do this. This may be true for say an hour long presentation but will it survive running from 10AM until 6PM for three days? Can it keep up with HD video driving a flatscreen? Obviously I need to use an external power supply.
In the past I have used a Mac Mini for this task. I still can but it is more convenient to use my iPad.
    Will this work?

Not directly, but an HDMI to DVI adapter with the new Digital AV Adapter will probably work.

Many people use their iPads all day long, though I don't know of any who use only a single app all day, particularly playing HD video. You'll want to make sure that the iPad is well ventilated; I'd suggest not having it in a case to make sure it stays as cool as possible.
You'll have to find out if there are apps that would run your videos and slideshows in a continuous loop, though. Keynote does not, unless there's an option I've missed, and I don't believe the Videos app included with the iPad loops either.
    Regards.

  • Use iPad 2 for video chat

Other than FaceTime, what can I use to video chat with Motorola xoom

FaceTime won't work with Motorola Xoom. Use Skype for iPad, have the other person download Skype on their device.

    Hi Vernon70,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that an application you downloaded from the App Store, Google, is not functioning as you would expect. In this situation, I would recommend following the troubleshooting steps outlined in the attached article.

  • Output iPad video to 27" iMac using iPad VGA adaptor?

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to Output iPad video to 27" iMac as an external monitor using iPad VGA adaptor?
    Thx.

No.  The VGA adaptor is an analog connection and the only inputs are digital Mini Display / Thunderbolt ports depending on your model.  It maybe possible with a conversion box of some sort or maybe trying an HDMI to mini display port cable ($44.95) and an iPad 2.  The 27' should be able to be used as a second display but the 21 is not.  If you have the iPad 2, pick up the cable and the HDMI adapter and try it out.  If not, return the cables within two weeks.

  • I use my camera for video and photos.  When I download my videos to my ipad1 using the camera connection kit, they will not play on my ipad. Is there a way I can get them to play?

I use my camera for video and photos.  When I download my videos to my ipad1 using the camera connection kit, they will not play.
Does anyone know how I can make this work?

    Yvonne-
I haven't tried videos on my camera yet.  Do you use the Videos App to play them?  I don't think they will play in the Photos App.
If yours are in a format that is not in Vazandrew's list, you may need to sync them to your computer and convert them to M4V or MP4 format.  You can use a program like HandBrake to do the conversion.  <HandBrake>  Once converted, you can sync them back to the iPad and they should play.
This may not meet your needs, but the alternative appears to be getting a different camera.  I don't know of another Video App that might work.

  • Use iPad as a computer video source

After two days of searching for information I'm posting here hoping that someone else has perhaps found out how to do this.
I'm interested in using an iPad as a video source on a computer.
I'll be more specific as so many people seem to love providing answers for something other than the actual question, or tell someone that they should do something other than what they actually asked about.
My college uses Tegrity which is a lecture capture application for recording class lectures.  In addition to capturing the content of the teacher's computer screen, video sources such as an attached video camera can be selected from a list of video devices and capture full-rate video to include with the lecture.
I'm trying to find a solution that would allow me to attach an iPad to a computer and have the computer see the iPad as a video source.  It would then need to push what is happening on the ipad screen to the computer to be recorded as if it were an attached camera.
I guess in a way it would be an airplay camera.  I've found a way to have the actual iPad camera show up as a video source, but not the iPad screen itself.
    tia

Sorry but this won't work.  It does't allow the iPad to be seen as a video source by the computer.  I've tried Reflection which is an app similar to this, but still not what I need which is:  iPad=video source
    Thanks tho.

  • What app should I use to view flash video on iPad?

You can also try Puffin or iSwifter. One of those might work for you, depending on the site(s) you need to view. All get mixed reviews, though.

Thanks again. I tried channel 13 and it seemed to work better, with less dropouts (albeit not perfect) but sadly my slightly ageing laptop wouldn't recognise the network at all with the Hub set to that channel, so I had to switch it back to 11!
Will try the factory reset at some point to see if that improves things.
I have the same issue with my iPad when streaming videos...like the issue posted on ‎25-04-2014 18h36 by Steve.
Steve - Can you kinldy clarify how you resolved the problem finally.
I was infact planning to change the iPad or sell it off due to this recurring problem.
    Thanks and regards
