Staples was not able to print my document created in mac "Pages." How do I convert it to a publisher file?

The Staples store was unable to print my document flyer that I created in mac "Pages" that I saved on my flash drive. They said they couldn't convert it from mac and to go back and "save as" "publisher file." However, when I click file, save as does not come up as an option. How can I get my flyer printed?

On your Mac select print the document. Once in print pane select Save as PDF. The PDF they will recognize.

Print issue with 6.2.9, not able to print a document(Not greyscale)

I am now unable to print a document unless I change the text colour and print from the preview screen.( can print from other apps using my Canon Pixma 4000)
i.e. I cannot print a black text document. It runs through the printer as if it is printing but the page comes out blank.
If I change the colour of the text then it prints

Hi Shirley,
I think you've (probably accidently) changed a printer setting. Canon Pixmas offer you the choice of printing with only the black cartridge or only the colour, which allows you to operate the printer even when one cartridge runs out of ink.
To get to the setting, open the Print Center, select your printer from the list, then click the tools icon (labelled Configure or Utility, depending on the Print Center version).
This will open Canon's Printer Utility application. Again, select your printer in the list, then click Maintenance.
In the Maintenance window, use the popup menu at the top to select Ink Cartridge Settings.
In the Settings window, select Both black and color using the popup menu.
Close the window and quit the Printer Utility and Print Center.

Hi @BaLaKuMaRaN ,
I see that you are experiencing issues when trying to print a PDF document, the printer isn't listed to select.
I would really like to be able to help you resolve this issue.
The application you are using might require the printer to be set as the default printer and probably doesn't have the ability to search for other printers.
Close the application.
Set the printer as the default printer.
Go to Start, Devices and Printers, right click on the printer and left click on Set as default printer.
Restart the computer.
Open the application and try printing again.
Run all the Adobe updates, if you are still having issues. Product updates.
Temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software to make sure it isn't interfering.
Try printing again.
Let me know which application you are using?
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet)

Not able to open a Word created doc in Pages

just installed iWork 09.
I tried a test and generated a document in Pages saving a copy as a Word document. Sent it to our PC laptop with Office. It opened just fine.
I did performed the opposite test of creating a new document in Word, sent it to our Mac, downloaded the file and drug the doc file over the Pages icon. It gives me a "document could not be opened prompt".
Is there a setting I need to make in Pages?

Sure it was a regular Word document, not a MsWorks document, a template or a passworded Word document?

Hi.. I recently brought myself a new iphone 5 and the problem I have is that when I plug the phone into my macbook air, system.log shows the following entry and the phone does not show up on my mac.

My mac model identifier is MacBookAir4,2 on 10.8.2 Mid 2011 and itunes 10.7 is installed.
Note: I then tried on a windows laptop and it failed there as well, stating that it could not find the right drivers and wouldnt work as well. I did try the standard Apple page for troubleshooting such issues, but no luck.
What I was hoping for was advise as to if I am looking at a cable issue (but the cable charges the phone well from the wall sockets) or am I looking a hardware issue (would hate to have to reset the whole phone agian the way i want it) or simply a OS, driver issue that I then should be shouting for an update?

Now I know why I didnt get enough detail on this issue on the net... because i dont think anyone knew.
I took the phone to the store, and the issue was the "new improved" lightning cable.. changed it and am now able to connect. Cost me 25$ which vodafone has agreed to reimburse for the faulty product.
Thank fully, it wasnt the hardware. Hope this information comes in handy to some people.

VF31 user not able to Print more billing document

I am having an issue with the User, whenever the user is taking the print out of Billing document using the T.code - VF31 he was not able to take print out of more than 30 documents. But he is not getting any error. He wants to take print out of billing document like 100 nos,200 nos, etc., Can you suggest me what settings can be made so that user can take more print out instead 30 at a time..

Dear,
while giving printing to the printer we get the options that how many copies we require. Tell the user to enter the number of copies he required for printing.
After that also user gets error, tell him to check the printer he is using with local it team.
If you have any concerns revert back the same to me

About 2 weeks ago, not able to print all pages in a .pdf document stored in a folder (I'm using Windows 7)?
It only prints 1 page then my Brother MFC-J4510DW Printer says "Please put another piece of paper in the feed slot"....the problem is the print setting is set to "manual mode" in Windows 7 rather than "general setting". If you try to change the setting to "general", it will not accept the change.

I did try using the printParams feature and it worked, but since I need to be able to print sets of non-consecutive pages, I end up having to bring up the print dialogue multiple times and have the user set watermarks each time.
I decided to just create a new pdf in a temp directory containing the selected pages and open this document in a new window. This works well and allows them to use the print button on the window to print, bringing up the print dialogue just once. However, since I need to open the document in a way that shows the print button, I am using OpenInWindowEx, with AV_DOC_VIEW, and the option PDUseBookmarks or PDUseThumbs, rather than PDUseNone. This displays a toolbar which also includes icons for creating a new pdf, deleting pages, etc. I do not really want to include these icons on the toolbar. Is there a way to remove unwanted icons from the toolbar, or make them invisible?

Initially I had downloaded Document 2 (Free) application to view my doc, ppt and xls files. I was not able to edit the files so there was an option for upgrade the Document-2 free to paid version. I have upgraded the Document 2 application.

I have upgraded the Document 2 application. But on my iPad now there are to application present Docemnt-2 (Free) and Document-2. I am not able to open any existing document using the upgraded version of application. How do I connect all the existing txt,PPT,XLS doccument to the new upgraded Document-2 application and then to edit it on my iPad.

As suggested I had deleted the free application and did a hard restart the iPad. I have again copied the document using iTunes. But I am not able to edit any document using this app. Document 2 (paid version) supports editing features of the txt/ xls /ppt files. Is there any problem while loading the Document 2 app. If I reload then do I need to purchase again?

I have a OSX IMAC Version 10.8.5. I got pages at the same time I purchased this computer. I use a document to write all my passwords. Seems like when I E-mail myself the document from pages, I have not been able to type in the document, it acts like it is locked. I checked all the "lock" and "unlock" fields, and none of them were locked. I notice the document says PDF. How do I correct this? Seems like I've tried everything. Yesterday I noticed, that I am not able to print double sided or into the mailbox of our "Canon Image Press C1" anymore (InDesign Version 6.0.4).
At the end of january I printed double sided the last time and it worked.
Right now, I can choose "double print", but the system does not keep it. I tried with different documents already and it didn't work, so it can't be just that one file. Since everything works out of other programs like Adobe Acrobat or MS Word, it can not be printer bug; it's pretty much my impression that it must be a InDesign bug.
So if somebody has any idea .... please help :-(

Sorry that I forgot about the operating system, but I am new so you may forgive me about that ...
I am working with a PC. Last week I was working in a document and suddenly the side window did not show the sides anymore. Our IT department took a file from my collegues PC and copied it to my PC, after this the sides where shown again. Since my colleque has got the same basic problem, I think something went wrong on the installation. I am not the expert with this installation stuff.

I found this information on HP site, but the article was quite old. May still be relevant:
1. Create a multi page document, or something that is more than one page.
2. Go to File/Page Setup.
3. Ensure the printer is listed in the Format for menu.
4. Click OK.
5. Go to File/Print but do not print yet.
6. Change the Copies and Pages menu to 'Layout'.
7. The Two-Sided option will be selectable only if the P2015 is listed in the Printer menu at the top of the print dialogue box.
8. Once you have chosen Long-edged binding, for example, click Print.

'IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device' HD crash and reinstall

About a week ago, my wife's PowerBook G4 suffered a fatal HD problem...we have all been there...(click click click buzz). Seeings its well beyond its warrantee plus the fact I am fairly handy, I took it upon myself to do the HD replace. Despite carpal tunnel from the 27 screws I had to remove to get the old drive out, the install went rather well. The new drive was in, I booted from the Leopard CD and within 2hrs had a working system...so I thought.
Since my wife kept no backups (despite me telling her too AND the fact this has happened before), I decided to use one of my external WD Passport drives as a Time Machine backup drive for her. Only, instead of recognizing the drive, I get one of several errors in dmesg:
-> IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device.
-> IOHIDSystem: Seize of IOHIDEventDriver failed.
The device is never seen from. If I put my ear next to it, I can hear it wizz up to speed, then click, slow to a stop, wizz up to speed, click, slow to a stop. It does this over and over.
The other weird tidbit is that it seems to only effect mass storage devices. On the right hand USB she has the USB hub plug for the 20" Cinema display, and into that a 5-port USB 2.0 hub. Attached to that is a USB Wacom Intuous 2 tables, a WD 500gb HD, an HP printer, and an Epson printer. In System Profiler, I can clearly see the Cinema hub, the tablet, and both printers, but the WD 500gb drive is missing. Same holds true if I plug the Passport in. Also, she has a 196gb Firewire drive plugged in through the Cinema display that works fine. Also, plugging either USB external drive into my MacBook Pro works fine.
So far I have tried repeatedly booting and booting off the Leopard DVD. I am about to try resetting the PRAM. Does anyone else know what I can try, or perhaps knows whats causing only the USB storage devices to not show up? I am really hoping this is not a problem with the internal USB components.

I believe this could in fact be part of the issue. I first had the bus powered WD Passport plugged into a 5-port hub that was plugged into her Cinema display. I then tried to rule out the 5-port hub by plugging directly into the Powerbook G4. When this didn't work, I just assumed something was wrong with the drivers/kernel since both the attempts yielded the same result. Plugging the drive directly into the Cinema Display solved the problem. Its now mounted and ready to rock.
The only other thing that's confusing me now, however, is why the WD 500gb MyBook drive isn't working. It too is plugged into the 5-port USB hub, but its also self-powered through a power brick. Its also plugged into the same 5-pot USB hub that the two printers are using (an HP PCS-1100 and an Epson 1280). The printers are working, the drive is not. I am going to try to dig up the power brick for the USB hub to see if that might help.

Not able to print reader file

When I convert MS Word files to Adobe Reader files, some people are not able to print them. Some of the content prints for instance, but some is missing. The graphics may print, but the text is missing.

Here is a file I converted from Word to a PDF that will only print the graphics.
I am using Word 2007 and Adobe Reader 9 Pro. I have the CS4 suite. When I save, I am using the following parameters:
Convert Document Information
Enable Accessibility and Reflow with tagged Adobe PDF
Create Bookmarks
Convert Word Headings to Bookmarks
I should add that changing and eliminating these parameters make no difference.
