Starbucks app and store hours

I know in the grand scheme of things this is a fairly minor issue, but since the upgrade to iOS6, has anyone been able to pull up store hours in the Starbucks app?
I am running the latest and greatest version, I believe 2.5. I have installed it on an iPhone 4S, an iPhone 5, and a 3rd generation iPad - and all 3 are unable to pull up store hours. Basically, I get a message that says "Retrieving Hours", and a rotating icon - no matter how long I wait, the hours never appear. I have tried to retrieve hours for locations across the US. Both the 4s and iPad had no issues with the Starbucks app prior to upgrade to iOS 6.
I have contacted Starbucks and they seem totally unaware of the issue. Their suggestion was to uninstall the app, reboot the phone and reinstall the app. Been there, done that. I even went one step further, I completely reset my iPhone 4s and set it up again as if it were a new iPhone. Then the only app I installed was the Starbucks version 2.5. Same issue. My thinking is that this has to be either an incompatibility between the basic iOS 6 install and the Starbucks app or the hours simply are not available.
Curious if anyone else has had this issue and if so, were you able to get it to work and how?

Update-just received the 2.5.1 update to the app and it now works great! Hours display immediately!

Starbucks app and GPS usage

I recently noticed that my GPS symbol never went away on my iPhone. After looking at the location services data I learned that the Starbucks app was keeping the GPS symbol on constantly. The moment I turned off location services for that app the symbol went away.
Is anyone else having this behavior on the Starbucks app? If I let it use location services, is it draining more battery? I hate having the symbol on all the time, if it's on all the time, then it has not meaning.
Any insight is appreciated.

I have exactly the same issue, noticed after my battery charge was disappearing rather quickly!
I killed all apps and rebooted the phone but it just stayed stuck on even though not running.
I've switched off location services for the Starbucks app (under Settings > Privacy > Location Services) and it goes away.
Phone is an iPhone 5 on iOS 8.1.2. Starbucks app is 3.2.2 and was updated nearly 3 weeks ago but last used about 3 days ago and I only noticed battery drain issue today.

Can I download a book with the iPad Nook app and store the book on iCloud?

In order to save storage pace on my iPad mini, I would like to put books purchased through the Nook app on iCloud. How do I accomplish this?

Nook (Barnes and Noble) stores the books at their website for download at any time.

i went on the ovi store and realized that i had to purchase the games and apps... so then i went on another site and download stuff instead, i dont really trust anyways, cos it say it might cause harm to my phone, btw, the download doesn't even work!
can someone tell me how to download game and apps and store it in my phone in the correct file
and such...
AND... the face book app thingy in my phone doesn't work, whenever i click on it it says no internet
connection, when there is, cos if i click on google, then type in facebook and log in then it works, but not directly to the facebook app originally there when i turn on the phone

I have loads of games and apps on my N97, download them onto computer, then drag and drop or 'open with' ovi suite. Try all about symbian, Daily Mobile, Nokia users, Tehkseven, Getjar, source forge etc, if you keep apps on computer, just re-transfer after a reset !

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Check iTunes and see if you have a pending or stalled download in there. If you do, finish that download or delete it if you can. If you can't finish or delete the download on the iPad, do it in iTunes on your computer and then sync the iPad. Then go back to the apps and see if they will download.
If that doesn't work or if that was not the problem, go to Settings>Store >Apple ID, tap your ID and sign out. Then reboot the iPad, Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Then go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and sign in again and see if the apps will update.

I would say to start by looking on their web site... unfortunately, that appears to be dead.
Based on the horrible ratings on the App Store (1 star for the current version), I'm not surprised it doesn't work well.

If you tried to restore to your iCloud backup and your photos didn't fully restore, first go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure it isn't still in the process of restoring.
If the restore is complete and all your photos weren't restored, all you can do is try restoring the backup again. You might try the solution posted by ezjules in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. This involves opening the photos app after the phone restarts and you provide the passwords for your Apple IDs, then leaving it open for the remainder of the restore process.

Trying to download an app on my iPhone using the App Store. Thing popped up to accept iTunes terms so it takes me to the page I click accept and it takes me back to the app and it says it will now download. The thing to accept the terms pops up again.

I click accept and it takes me to the page where the app is and a thing pops up saying the app will download now. I click okay and the same iTunes terms and conditions thing comes up again. Over and over I accept the terms but it keeps going back saying the app is going to download but it never does.

There must be a problem with the app store right now as a number of people seem to be having this problem right now. Try purchasing it using iTunes on your computer, accept the terms and conditions there, then either sync it to your phone or download it on your phone as a past purchase (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).

Try resetting your network settings.
Settings>Genenal>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

If i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it as the option 'set up as new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos and ect?

The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Try downloading another app - any free app - that seems to reset something and the apps may start working again. Try that first. If that doesnt work, try these steps
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
