Starbucks iTunes broken

I noticed yesterday Starbucks is now on iTunes wifi.
Problem is it refreshes every 1 second. Anybody else have this issue.
Starbucks store at Cheshire Station, Woodbridge, VA 22193

I have had the same problem at two different Starbucks stores tested over the last couple of days (12/27-12/29/08) in Overland Park, Kansas. No luck resolving by telephone with either Apple, Starbucks, or AT&T. I have a new 16 GB iPod Touch with the 2.2 software version. I think that is the same software version as your phone. Apple Support is not aware of the problem. Starbucks is clueless. They point to AT&T as their provider. Apple did advise a system reset, but that did not change things. I asked Starbucks to look into. In iTunes, I get the Starbucks logo icon on the bottom ribbon and the Starbucks name on the top ribbon. The main screen area just flashes with the message "loading". Occassionly, I get a momentary glimpse of the "now playing" list when on the Starbucks logo tab. The other tabs on iTunes work fine - as do all other internet functions. Starbucks needs to take ownership on solving the problem.

  • Starbucks iTunes store issues

When I went into Starbucks today I ran into an issue with iTunes. First it wouldn't let me connect to the store without having first getting the Txt message from ATT which allows me to use the free wi-fi. I suspect they changed that part of iTunes since wi-fi is free now for iPhone users. Second, and this issue only happened after upgrading to 2.2, when I go into the iTunes store I can no longer see the Starbucks portion of the store. I've looked around the forums and have tried what others have said and still no luck with connecting to it. I suspect it's not showing up since 2.2 added podcasts to the store menu and I've tried to swipe the bar over to see the starbucks tab but that didn't work.
I also googled the issue and found nothing on that since I wondered with they quietly closed the Starbucks iTunes store on iPhone since 2.2 came out. To be clear I have accessed the store before at the same Starbucks that I went today so I know for a fact that they have it. This was the first time I've been unable to look through the store at Starbucks, but every other portion of iTunes worked just fine.

Today I went to a different Starbucks and the Starbucks iTunes store worked. The one I go to regularly probably was just having issues. What the store does is it removes the podcast and downloads tab and puts them in their own option that says more. The Starbucks icon shows up first and works just as before.

    Hi Guys,
I hope you can help me with this one.
I just installed the 10.8.2 update trough App Store, then it asked me to restart my computer... During the restart some error message appeared saying that the installation could not be completed due to an unexpected error, and then restarted my computer automatically.
The problem is, now both my App Store and iTunes are broken, here are the details of the error message I get when I try to launch App Store either normally or using the Apple > Software Update menu option:

  • A LOT of iTunes broken links/tracks after Music folder move...

So yeah, I'm getting a TON of broken links / dead track links in iTunes after having to do two things to my iTunes install recently and I'm at wits end trying to fix it.
I keep my iTunes Music Folder on an external and share the iTunes library between my work Macbook Pro and my home Macbook. Every Friday I drag my iTunes folder and all contents from my MBP onto an external and replace the iTunes folder on the 'weekend' MB, then do the same back on Monday. I keep my iTunes music 'View' as 'Date Added' so that I can always be listening to whatever is newest. It's how I roll.
Well, this week I had some data problems during the transfer and had to use a previous week's iTunes Music Folder, which was fine as I hadn't added much this week.
I also got a new external because the old one was getting a little shady, so after doing the iTunes Music Folder replacement I moved my music all over to a new external drive, told iTunes where it all was at. iTunes did it's thing, 'organized' my stuff and all seemed good - until I got back deeper into the catalogue of music and started getting a LOT of broken tracks. The songs are still there, in the correct folders and all, but for some reason iTunes isn't finding them.
When I say a LOT, I mean so far it's hundreds of my 13,000 songs.
Now I COULD use the 'Super Remove Dead Tracks' script from Doug's to find all the broken files then re-add the whole library, but it will add all the old songs out of order because they will get a new 'Added' date.
I could also manually move thru my whole library holding down the arrow key for 'Next' to find all the broken links then go thru, select them, and use the 'iTunes Track CPR' script from Doug's to re-add them to the library with ratings intact, but still they will be out of order time-wise.
I cannot find a script that will parse my library, find broken links, and re-associate them with their tracks, nor can I figure out why this happened and any other way to fix it. Repairing permissions hasn't helped. Any other ideas?

Just to follow up with a more comprehensive example of looping through a Library to detect & repair "missing" file-tracks:
    <pre>
    property kErrAENoSuchObject:(-1728)
    on run
    tell (application "iTunes")
set theLibraryPlaylist to (first library playlist)
    tell theLibraryPlaylist
set theNumCandidateFileTracks to (count (every file track))
repeat with i from 1 to theNumCandidateFileTracks by 1
    -- Get a reference to this file-track
set thisFileTrackRef to (file track i)
-- Get this file-track's info (useful for debugging, etc.)
set thisArtist to (artist of thisFileTrackRef)
set thisAlbum to (album of thisFileTrackRef)
set thisName to (name of thisFileTrackRef)
    set thisFileTrackInfo to (thisArtist & " > " & thisAlbum & " > " & thisName)
    -- Display a diagnostic message every 500th file-track
    if ((i mod 500) = 0) then
    tell me
    display dialog ("Checking file-track #" & i & ": " & ¬
    return & return & thisFileTrackInfo) ¬

-- {!!! NOTE: Due to a bug in iTunes 7.x+ (esp. when downloading), AS might
    -- be unable to access the 'location' field of some file-tracks !!!}
    try
set thisFileTrackTargetFile to (location of thisFileTrackRef)
    on error errMsg2 number errNum2
-- Check whether it's that bizarre error: (-1728) "Can't get location of …"
if (errNum2 = (kErrAENoSuchObject of me)) then
-- Set up to just skip this track (assume it's being downloaded)
set thisFileTrackTargetFile to (anything) -- (Other than 'missing value')
    else (* Re-signal all other errors *)
    error errMsg2 number errNum2
    end if
    end try

    if (thisFileTrackTargetFile = (missing value))
    -- Inform the user
    tell me

  • Re Download Music From iTunes (Broken Files)

    Hello,
I just bought some songs from iTunes store. But I got a broken files (the last 20 seconds of the song is not working). How can I re download it? Thanks!

  • HT1212 Passcode-itunes-broken touchscreen

What if my touch screen is broken and i have a passcode and i want to hook it up to itunes?

If you connect it to iTunes on the last computer the phone was synced to you can make a backup of it to restore after the screen is repaired or the phone is replaced.

  • SL and iTunes broken iPhone sync

I get this message when I plug my iPhone into the cradle:
"The Phone [my phone's name] cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."
It still manages to sync most of the info, including podcasts and music. I cannot tell what ISN'T being synced.
Just upgraded to iTunes 9 and it's still broken. This has occurred ever since SL was installed (clean, then used Migration Assistant). My only login is Administrator, I have repaired permissions (several times), done a Keychain repair, Applied my permissions to all iTunes-related folders in Library and deleted prefs and cannot find the source of this.

Figured it out by process of elimination of sync services: a folder of photos had bad permissions.

  • Snow Leopard fresh install - iTunes broken

    Hi,
i have seen several threads about iTunes 10 problems, but i didn't see the exact problem i have.
Got a new hard disk today as i wanted to upgrade my late 2008 13" Unibody MB. Installed 10.6/iLife/iWork (Mac Box Set, full install everywhere), ran all the software updates (2 massive update packages), then started iTunes to copy my iTunes lib from the Mac Pro via home sharing.
But what happens? iTunes can't start, it tells me about a broken installation and recommends a reinstallation.
Now what is this again? After all the hassle with the iOS4 upgrade on my 3G and carloads of other problems i had with Apple stuff recently, this really makes me angry, as the only reason for the new hard disk was the need to put the whole iTunes library onto this machine, as the MP is a bit bloated to listen music via Airtunes.
    ...Michael

oh my goodness - i have had same problems today - on brand new imac. Not used mac before and was well stressed. I could not install itunes kept getting locked out and installation failures. Had to resort to trashing the whole lot- music too - and forcing shut down then reinstalling itunes from installation disc, selecting applications. Tried downloading latest version with so many errors I just gave up. So by using the installation disc I am using itunes 9 and it appears to be without problems. Don't think I'll upgrade to 10 just yet!! Still trying to sort out the windows library transfer though!!

  • Scroll Bars in iTunes broken

    Hi guys
ok, strange one this. The Scroll bars on the side of the window in itunes, for the playlists, the fields for selecting artists, genre and album have all disappeared. They've just been replaced with White. It still plays music and allows scrolling with the mouse ball, but can't scroll using the point and click method.
Have restored iTunes from time machine, re-downloaded iTunes, and even copied my iTunes library back from my MacBook to my MacPro, as its working fine on my Macbook
    very strange.
Can anyone help? I'm now stump!
    R

Hidden scroll bars that only appear when you mouse over them are the default in Lion. However, you can easily change back to normal scroll bars if you prefer. Go to System Preferences > General and uncheck and check the button to always show scroll bars.

  • Is iTunes broken in iOS 5.1.1?

Since updating my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.1.1 I have been having problems with iTunes.
The app is extremely slow, taking ages to load pages and it's all-but-impossible to synchronize and update podcast feeds.
Is there an acknowledged issue with this and is Apple working to fix it?
Is there a work-around (e.g. downgrading back to iOS 5.1)?

I had the exact same problem.
Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out.
Then Sign back in using Exisiting Apple ID.
Strange I know, but it fixed my problem.

It is my own problem or an OS bug? How can I fix it? How to reinstall itunes, copy it from time machine?
I am using OSX 10.92 in RMBP early 2013.

I'm not an expert trying to read crash reports.
    Library not loaded: @loader_path/libgnsdk_dsp.1.9.5.dylib

Try going to iTunes/Preferenes/Advanced and make sure iTunes is looking for your Library in the proper location.

  • IPod with 7.0.1.8 iTunes - Broken, restoring won't fix it.

    Hey guys, thanks for reading:
    2 questions:
    1) My Ipod isn't cooperating with the new version. It is a 4 gig Black Nano, and it's in recovery mode. When I go to restore it, it detects a corrupt iPod and asks me to restore again. Should I do something in particular? I've tried the 5 R's and nothing.
    2) If it's busted and I'm still on my applecare plan (I've taken impecably good care of it for 300 days), what do I do to replace it if possible?

if the nano is otherwise behaving perfectly fine (no strange icons/messages on the screen, plays properly), it's possible that the recovery mode message is being generated by a Windows drive letter confusion. see the following document for troubleshooting suggestions for that:
"iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode - Use iTunes to restore"

  • IPad video app (iTune) broken - Not showing downloaded videos

Recently, I began to have problems with videos that I purchased on iTunes, downloaded them, could watch them and then delete them so I could download more purchased videos, and then when I would go to download them again later (to watch them again), it would show in iTuned that they were already downloaded.  In iTunes...The "WATCH" button appears where the "Download" button usually appears...and when you click on it, the iTunes Video App launches, but the video isn't there to watch.
Anyone else having this same problem?  ...and how do I fix this APPLE?  I have already done a factory restart and loaded my apps, etc...back on to my iPad from iCloud, but the problem is still there.
    Thanks!

Thanks Rex. I appreciate your suggestion. There are two reviews on it so far (not much substance regarding function).

  • OPT Drag MP3 into iTunes broken with iTunes 12?

Prior to version 12, I could hold OPTION and drag an MP3 into the itunes library. It would then be automatically copied to the itunes media folder.
Now when I do OPTION>drag and drop, or regular drag and drop, or go "File>Add to library"....the mp3 is added but from it's current location. It is NOT copied into itunes media.
How do I drag new songs in and have the automatically added to iTunes Media?

Thanks. Sure enough, this method still works.
Odd that nothing exists for drag-and-drop onto the app though.
Dragging an MP3 file into the open iTunes window is working normally for me in iTunes 12, although I have seen a few posts on this forum from people where it is not.
Luckily, using the Automatically Add to iTunes folder seems to work.
