Starcraft 2 Downloaded Installer wont Run [Solved]

I have isntalled, Wine, winecfg, winetricks, gecko
I did the mmapi disabled trick.
I downloaded the Starcraft 2 Installer from their website.
When I double click the exe I get "The application could not be executed for some reason. Please close all applications and try again."
I am using XFCE Archlinux 86_64.
I have consulted the wikki.

SOLVED:
Was missing # pacman -S lib32-openal (this line is only necessary for x86_64)
and # pacman -S lib32-libjpeg lib32-libldap (this line is only necessary for x86_64)
man I gotta read wikki more carefully its soo incredibly helpful and solves everything I just tend to skip over it by glancing to fast

OK, several days later, I found a post about bmpx needing neon to run. I pacmanned neon and now bmpx works.

If you right click on the task bar, select Task Manager. Is iTunes running in the background, just doesn't have a window open, or is it not running at all?
Do you have Norton Internet Security? Do you have iTunes 5.0 or 5.0.1?

Apps installed on a previous os-x installation wont run

Hello.
I have a bunch of applications that I installed to /Users/homedir/Applications and one day the computer gave errors and couldn't boot. I reinstalled the system and restored my home dir from backup but the applications in /Users/homedir/Applicatins won't run. When I click on them, nothing happens other than some readjustments in dock. I tried to run the apps from terminal too se if there was error messages and I get LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for everyone of them.
Anyone have a clue what the problem might be and maybe have a solution too?

I suggest you reinstall them. Your reinstallation may have resulted in the loss of installed components. As for the error see:

Photoshop cs 4 wont run after installation on mac book pro

I recently brought the adobe design premium package with flash, illustrator, indesign, photoshop etc...
after installation all other application works but just photoshop, it just wont start at all...
it will pop up on the deck for a second or two and just disappear. the progra wont run at all. other applications like illustrator, indesign etc... all work just fine but just not photoshop... i dont get it what's wrong. no error or anything. just pop up and then disappear.

So have you done the basics?
Toss the PS folder and run the installer again?
Run the updater from an app you can open? (this will update all)

I downloaded cs6 to external hard drive and tried to install but wouldnt

I got an old game set up for system 7.5 and my 10.6.8 wont run it. Is there a download of the older systems that would allow me to play this game?

You could look into Sheepshaver which supports older OS versions but I hear can be very tricky to install. you may also find that a game will not work on it because games often want to control the hardware directly and an OS7 game will have absolutely no idea how to run your computer. Frequently it is recommended you just buy an old Mac capable of running OS7.
Even if you had a Classic-capable computer it is still quite possible it would not run an OS7 game. I found many of my OS7 games stopped working even when I ran a computer actually booted to OS9.
Which game is this? Some old favorites are being re-released for OSX, e.g. Solarian.

The failure to remove the Temporary Files could just be due to having your internet connection active during the removal process. For most folks, the amount of data in this directory is minimal. If you want / need to remove the files, you could close your browser(s), make sure your Internet music and TV connections are closed, and then try removing the files manually:
Path to Folder:
C:\Users\--YourAccountNameHere--\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
Warning:
Do NOT remove the "Temporary Internet Folder" itself. Go "inside" the folder before removing anything.

Mandrake Linux 8.0 - can't get Oracle Universal Installer to run

Hi all.
I'm having trouble getting Oracle's Universal Installer to run.
I'm trying to become DBA certified, so I went and purchased
(among
other materials) a book titled "Oracle8i for LINUX Starter Kit",
authored by Steve Bobrowski, published by Oracle Press / Osborne
McGraw-Hill, ISBN 0-07-212442-3.
The book includes a CD-ROM with Oracle8i Enterprise Edition,
Release 2, version 8.1.6 for LINUX.
I'm running an Intel P-III 500 MHz with 512MB RAM, 30GB hard disk
exclusively configured for Linux (no other O/S on it) and Oracle
(so LOTS of hard disk space is available), Matrox Millennium G400
video card (32MB).
My hardware exceeds all requirements listed in aforementioned
book, and also in Oracle's own documentation (from their web
site).
I'm running Mandrake's Linux 8.0, PowerPack Edition, with:
kernel = 2.4.3
XFree 4.0.3 (and I've also tried 3.3.6, with identical results
to those listed below)
glibc 2.2.2
I've followed the book's instructions to the letter, and set up
the environment variables, oracle user, and subdirectories as
required.
So far, so good.
OK. Now, here's where the problem appears:
I log in as the oracle user, and try to start the Oracle
Universal Installer (following the instructions in the book)
as follows:
cd /mnt/cdrom
./runInstaller
The computer tries to do some stuff, then spews the information
listed at the bottom of this posting to the screen. I press
<ENTER> after "OK" and get dumped back to the bash prompt.
That's it. I can't go any further. No Oracle Universal
Installer.
By the way, I've also downloaded Oracle8i Enterprise Edition
Release 3, version 8.1.7 from Oracle's website, and tried to
install that, too. Exactly same results.
The nice folks at Oracle have politely told me to get lost,
and not bug them for unpaid support.
I'd really like to get this stuff up and running, so I can
start studying and practicing for DBA, but I need help 'cause
this problem is beyond me.
So... can anyone help??

I have Mandrake 8.0 on PII-600, 256 RAM. I used the downloaded
8.1.7. Edit JRE_LOCATION in Disk1/install/oraparam.ini to point
to your version of JRE 1.1.8 v3 (JRE from
http://www.backdown.org). Then try with NUMLOCK=OFF.
I just clicked the 'typical' installation. It failed at the end
and did not install the database manager. The error message was:

Oracle 8.1.7 on RH7.0 Installed fine now wont run at all!

I was able to install Oracle 8.1.7 on RH 7.0 using this fix... http://ftp.valinux.com/pub/support/hjl/glibc/sdk/2.1/README.Oracle8i
The database initialized correctly and I was able to setup and connect to the database. I even ran a port scanner and checked memmory...the thing was running! Then after the reboot the database wont run at all. When I type ./oracle it trys to load and then shows "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". When I try ./oracle start nothing is echoed. I tried to copy the lib files

to the $ORACLE_HOME/lib/ dir and followed John Smiley's howto but the relink script doesn't work! Even still I think something else is wrong other than the library. Can someone help?
