WHen I use Imovie, Word, Photobooth and so on, the program shuts down and tells me to restart the program. Basically this is a problem with all the programs I have!! Can anyone help me solvinf this problem??? I usually just run one program at a time and still it does this... ??
I would start with going into your disk utility (in your applications folder, in utilities) and clicking on your internal hard drive and repairing permissions.
Also how much free space do you have on your hard drive?

I just purchase it new, run the insallation program for first use. When its up and running just within that day i noticed that it start to hang up when i hooked external drive for some program installation (adobe lightroom).
Its still fine but when i turn it off, it wont start again until i did turn to safe mode so that i could back up some of the files and run the recovery again.
This time on 64bit. When its finish its process, it works well for just a couple of hours.

64bit Operating system is better if your notebook supports 4GB or more RAM.
Why? Because Win 32bit recognizes max 3.2GB even if more RAM is available.
This is 32bit limitation; no matter what OS it is; Linux, Win XP, Vista, Win7 etc
This is the reason why 64bit OS are so popular in the last time
Regarding the OS issue;
I recommend running a HDD recovery again... this means you should reinstall the OS usign the Toshiba recovery option;
Press F8 while powering up the notebook, Choose Repair my Computer, -> HDD recovery -
I recently upgraded to the iphone 5 and managed to sort the transition out with little trouble but noticed when I tried to put my music on that Itunes has messed with album info and either it or me has generated several copies of the same albums over the years and it makes it quite dificult to sort it all out before reloading on the phone. To stop the chaos I had hoped to clear the library and start again but cant find a way to do it. I was hoping to sort all my music out in original files and consolidate them into a proper folder. HOw do I do this. I notice there is an add fole and folder button but no take away??? is there an easy way?
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. If you have multiple references to the same files then don't send to the recycle bin. Use my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

I am trying to record a meditation from my Macbook Air and an annoying loud sound, like a burp, will suddenly erupt from the MacBook, necessitating I start again. Any ideas on how I may stop this, or what it is??

Do a backup, preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.

I uninstalled Beta 4 and re-installed 3.6.13 now Firefox will not open at all I tried to uninstall to start again but it will not uninstall either it does nothing, I have been using Firefox for a long time but cannot resolve this problem can anyone help and give me a solution please. As I use Firefox as my web browser it is very frustrating.
The fact it will not uninstall appears to be something completely new as nobody I know who uses Firefox has ever encountered this in the past.Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Time Machine and Hard Drive Weirdness -- start again?
I bought a LaCie 500 Gig slick Porsche metallic drive to go with my slick metallic iMac last year. Set up Time Machine, was in awe, life was good. In recent weeks, I've noticed the drive running hot and a little louder than normal. Since it's not crucial for me to have TM always on, I just turn the drive off.
Recently, I noticed TM machine wouldn't mount. It was doing a lot of work, running real warm, but not mounting. In disc utility, the drive was blinking in and out of being accessible. Finally I was able to access it, and I verify/repaired it twice.
The next time it booted up, the drive icon wasn't in 'go' green but 'wait a bit' yellow. In preferences, I could see it preparing and preparing. It seemed like it would never end, and finally needing to go to sleep, I turned it off on yellow. This morning, it mounts GREEN and is working normal. Not hot, not noisy.
Here's the big question: now what I do?
You see, I've got some warranty left on this drive, and I can't figure out if it's about to break, or Time Machine is breaking the drive.
My gut tells me to trash my backups.backupdb file and start all over again. After all, I'm at a nice place where I don't need anything from a while ago. I figure if I try to do this and it outright fails to backup, this is an indication of a weary drive.
Also, if I were to backup all over again, it would be about 160 gigs of info. My backup drive currently has 130 available. There's maybe another 60 gigs or so of stuff on this drive tops, and so it seems Time Machine has nearly doubled in size of what it's backing up.
So, would y'all recommend purging the backup and starting again?

First, make sure Spotight is not set to Index the LaCie drive. That could have been the cause of the excessive use.
Next, if Time Machine hasn't been backing up for a while ("wouldn't mount"), then the next time it successfully mounts it will do a long "Preparing..." (I believe it's called a "Deep Traversal") session to compare what has changed since the last time it connected. This is normal and will show the drive as busy (Yellow light). Let it do its' thing in that case - perhaps leaving it on over night.

I need to make a pdf document, already made in photoshop, 'page turn' and then add it to my website as an e-brochure. I know I can do this in indesign but indesign will not open pdf files for some inexplicable reason. Any ideas how I can do it without completely starting again?

please try this (all terms are translated from my German programs to my best knowledge):
1. Did the creator of the pdf file enable the import options?
2. See import options: choose an other visibility option for your layer.
3. Let you show the import options and click into one with a black background and try these out (often a gray is selected).
4. See trimming: try the different modes there. Often works: "Media".
5. Is the pdf file (eg from Word) correctly created?
6. Is the PDF file protected? >>> no import possible.
7. If that does not help, store the pdf file in Acrobat, repair possible errors, run the PDF Optimizer before placing in InDesign.

The iPod isn't tied to an Apple ID, but is likely tied to an iTunes library. If you want to set it up as a new iPod (as if you were just pulling it out of the box), restore it to factory settings in iTunes.

Windows 8.1 pro N apps open and comes back to start again
I have just installed windows 8.1 pro N and I have got an issue. the issue is when I download any app from windows store it opens and comes back to start again. I had faced this problem before also.

Did you try to update your Windows?
I suspected this issue related to regional setting since you are using N version of Windows 8.1

have a mac book pro that crashed. ran disk utility to repair. comp booted and ran for short time. then crashed. ran repair again. disk utility said it could not repair disk and needed to format and start again.
comp said it could not unmount disk and now when comp trys to boot all i get is a question mark on the screen. helpErase and Install
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU after formatting completes and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
5. After restart into Snow Leopard download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. -
I Got a new iPad last month and sent up in the usually way and syncd to iCloud. However it has ever since shown a comment saying:

Help!Where do you see this message? I know it can take a few hours to restore from an iCloud backup if you had lots of apps, data, movies, camera roll photos etc on it, but it should not take days and daus to finish.
Have you restarted or reset your iPad since you got it? Not the reset that you are talking about - I mean the system reset. Try either or both and see if the message goes away.

I have a black Apple TV that has recently stopped working. It loads the Apple Logo on screen then goes off and starts again. It's as if it is stuck in a loop. I've tried a re-boot and this has failed. I have tried a restore using a USB cable on 5 different computers, including a Mac Book Pro and it downloads the update file but when it tries to restore I get the error code 9 showing on screen. I just can't get it to do anything.

In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?! -

Please HelpWhat format is your problem clip? Are there wave forms visible in the section without sound?
Right click on the clip in the event broswer and choose Reveal in Finder; open the clip in Quick Time to confirm that there is sound throughout at that stage of your workflow.
