  • Start BI Publisher Report without authentication

    Hello
I'd like to start BI Publisher Reports from Apex using a simple URL but without having to login into BI Publisher. Is there a way to provide username/password in the URL ( like with Oracle Reports cgi) or another possibility avoiding to type in Publisher credentials?
I know there is a technique to start Publisher Reports from Apex using a webservice, but with this it isn't possible to show the output on screen.
    Thank you
    Norbert

    Thank you Turribeach.
I tried the guest folder as we don't use SSO. Anyway I can't get it to work... maybe I got a wrong value for Guest Folder Name? The report lies in Shared Folders/Guest. If I use "Guest" for Guest Folder Name I receive the error "The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administrator.". If I start the report out of BIP it works fine. Any other setting of Guest Folder Name, i.e. "/Guest" or "/Shared Folder/Guest" will bring up the credentials dialog and after loggin in the report is displayed ok.
Any suggentions what's wrong or missing?

  • Unable to start BI Publisher 11g

    Hello Gurus,
I have installed OBIEE 11G complete suite on windows machine. Immediately after installation and configuration, everything was running great. I was able to log into BI Publisher just fine.
After I restarted my machine, suddenly I am getting following error on BI Publisher home page.
I followed all standard documentation and started admin server, web logic managed servers, and system components and also "BI Services" under Start BI Services. But still following error will not go away.
Looks like I am missing something pretty obvious. Any ideas ?

    Thank you for your reply.
I have checked all parameters you have suggested and they are okay. Still the issue persists.
One thing I have noticed. When I go to Windows>>Start>>BI>> Start BI Services, the progress stops at Managed BI Server.

  • Start XML Publisher from a html based page.

    Hi.
We have users that only have access to the html based pages in EBS.
I wonder if I somehow can make it possible for them to start a xml publisher report request with parameters, from those html based pages.
In the form based pages this is not a problem, just add the concurrent program to a request group. But there must be someway to do this from the html based pages as well.
Is there a Role that can be assigned or something?
    Regards

  • Java Error when starting BI Publisher

I have installed BI publisher Trial 64 bit.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  The install seemed to go smoothly. When I try to start the BI publisher from the start menu, a java error comes up "Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working"
    Any ideas?
Looks like it is using the java that came with BI publisher:    Faulting application path: C:\PROGRA~1\Oracle\BIPUBL~1\bip\jre6\bin\java.exe
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling BI publisher with no luck.

  • Cannot Start BW Publisher Service after IK install

I installed Integration Kit for 3.0 on a XI 3.0 deployment. After the installation, I was unable to start the BW Publisher Service. I also do not see the SAP Authentication drop down in CMC.
I followed all the pre-reqs.....any idea what could be wrong? How can i troubleshoot this?
    Thanks,
    Kashif

These are the steps I took:
    Pre IK Installation steps
    1. Extracted the contents the SAP Java Connector 2.1.8 into a folder on the server.
    2. Since the SAP GUI is already installed, the file u201Clibrfc32.dllu201D should already be present
in the u201CC:\windows\system32u201D folder. Rename this to u201Clibrfc32.dll.oldu201D and copy the
new one from the folder in step 1.
    3. Copied the u201Csapjcorc.dllu201D file from the folder in step 1 to the u201CC:\Windows\system32u201D
    folder.
    4. Copied the u201Csapjco.jaru201D file from the folder in step 1 to the u201CC:\Program Files\Business
    Objects\TOMCAT55\common\libu201D folder.
And added to the Java ClassPath in Tomcat. Then I installed the IK.
I assume the SAP Kit is installed ?
    Yes.
Did you deploy the SAP Java Connector files ? (32bit)
If deploying means what i mentioned above, then Yes.
can you see a folder "SAP" in the webapps folder from TOMCAT ?
    No.
    Thanks for your help!

  • IWeb Starts to Publish, and never finishes

    Hey y'all-
Here is the deal. I am running iWeb 09 and have had no problems... until tonight. I publish to my MobileMe regularly through the three sites that I run from my MobileMe account.
I made some changes to several pages on each of the sites and the normal "blue" for no change and "red" for change was working. When I first open iWeb, they show correctly. When I go to upload one of the sites, all of the pages on all of the sites go to red. The circle gets to the very end and freezes (tried it overnight).
I have deleted the .plist, restarted, and updated all of the software (including today's release).
    Ideas?

I have not tried to Time Machine back to a week or so ago, I might this morning just to try it. Anyway, it looks like that is likely not the issue anyway; check out this other forum thread, we are not the only ones... <http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1956238>

I cannot "Get Started" the Business Catalyst extension from Dreamweaver CS6. This is the error message I receive: "An account with the same email already exists in Business Catalyst. To associate the Business Catalyst account with your AdobeID, please log in to the Business Catalyst web administration console."

Can anyone help please as I have purchased CS6 now and have sites that I need to administer, I have uninstalled cs 5.5 which worked fine.

There is no need to install the Business Catalyst extension in Dreamweaver CS6. Business Catalyst is incorporated into the program.
If you're having difficulties logging into BC, I suggest that you post a request for help in the dedicated Business Catalyst forum.

  • Adding meta tags to published web site

I have created my website using iWeb and subsequently downloaded the RAVE SEO tool and used it to add for meta tags to my sites (description and keywords).
    I followed this procedure:
    1) I published my site from iWeb to a local folder on my iMac
    2) I added the meta tags using the RAVE SEO tool
    3) I tried to publish the site to my webhotel with tags added using the ftp tool in the RAVE SEO tool.
    PROBLEM:
when I publish from the SEO tool, it is the old sites which are published. In my local folder where I started out publishing the web site to, I can see that the tags from description and keywords have been added. But the site which is published does not contain the tags.
I have a feeling that the SEO tool is looking in a wrong foder, but I cannot change the folder using the "FTP Details" funktion in the SEO tool.
Do anyone have a suggestion for what to do?
    Thanks,
    Klaus

I have a feeling that the SEO tool is looking in a wrong foder, but I cannot change the folder using the "FTP Details" funktion in the SEO tool.
When you click publish and choose FTP you can create a new setup or use an existing one.
And if you do not know which folder to publish to, click browse. You decide.
