Start BPM from WDJ with Web Service  (in 7.2)

Hi,
I created a BPM process, and a new WDJ application to start the BPM process.
In the WDJ application, I created a new model (adaptive web service model) and I added this to the 'Used Models' of the application.
But, now, I want to start my BPM process after I click the "Submit" button. How can I do this?
In my RequestModel, I have my Model class with:
- ServiceData
- Request_StartOperation
- Response_StartOperation
(and my data element fields)
- Request_wbs
- Request_wbs_ca
- Request_wbs_tr
Now my question, How can i trigger the web service in the WDJ so the process can start?
wdDoInit:
RequestModel model = new RequestModel();
My event:
fireStartRequestCompleteEvent
Many thx!

Hi Hans,
You need to create an instance of Request_StartOperation and assign the values to the nodes/attributes under this. Once all the assignments are done, you need to bind it and execute the model as below example shows:
Lets take the model structure as below:
Model1 -> Request_StartOp -> StartOp -> Node1
Node1 -> Attr1, Attr2 (Node1 contains 2 attr and the type in WS schma is Node1Type and cardinality 1.1)
Model1 objModel = new Model1();
Request_STartOp objReq = new Request_StartOp(objModel);
StartOp objStart = new StartOp(objModel);
Node1Type objNode1 = new Node1Type(objModel);
objNode1.setAttr1(val1);
objNode1.setAttr2(val2);
objStartOp.setNode1(objNode1);
objReq.setStartOp(objStartOp);
wdContext.nodeRequest_StartOp().bind(objReq);
wdContext.nodeRequest_StartOp().currentRequest_StartOpElement().modelObject().execute();
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Arafat

  • Start GP Process from VC using Web Service with parameters

    Hi,
    II´m trying to instantiate a GP process from a Vc iView using a Web Service; I always used Instantiation via URL but using this method I don´t have any "return" data from GP saying "Ok - The process started succesfully".
    The questions are:
    1) Is possible to start a GP process via Web Services through a VC Flash iview? If so, is posible to send input parameters to the process via the web service?
    2) Does the web service returns any message with the status of the process? ( something like: "the process started succesfully")
    Best regards,
    Marco.

    1) Is possible to start a GP process via Web Services through a VC Flash iview? If so, is posible to send input parameters to the process via the web service?
    A: Yes. You can send input parameters to the service through WS.
    2) Does the web service returns any message with the status of the process? ( something like: "the process started succesfully")
    A: Yes. The return message can be added to the WS. It depends on how do designed the WS.

  • No result while creating a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard

    Hi,
    I've tried to create a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard in SE80 by using URL/HTTP Destination but nothing happens. After the popup with logondata for the WSDL I get the CRM start screen and nothing has been created in the given package.
    technical details:
    I use a CRM 5.0 system with SP15 (SAPKB70015).
    I created the provider service at a 7.10 system with SP5 (SAPKB71005) via SPROXY, SOAMANAGER and WSPUBLISH and get the WSDL-URL from Service Registry.
    The Service Registry of the 7.10 system serves as central Service Registry.
    Has anybody an idea ?
    Christoph

    Guy,
    Thanks for your reply.
    This problem has been solved. Since I haven't turned on everything that to use transaction SOAMANAGER needs. After complete the switch-on works, the problem never happens again.
    Thanks again.

  • Starting BPM from Adobe PDF?

    Hi everyone,
    we want to implement a BPM scenario, which will be started by a WS call from an Adobe PDF file. Following is our development procedure:
    1. Create a wsdl file, which has only input parameter. (asynchronous call).
    2. Create a bpm with a start event, whose trigger is the wsdl file from step 1.
    3. Deploy the bpm and configure all the service groups. Test the bpm and find out it can be started with a webservice call.
    4. Create an xdp file using the wsdl file from ce as data connection. (this wsdl file is not from step 1, but the one with endpoint configuration from ce)
    5. create pdf file from xdp and call the bpm, but failed.
    Our questions are:
    1. is it possible to start a bpm from a pdf form using ws?
    2. if 1 is true, how can we do that?
    thanks a lot for your time and reply in advance.
    best regards
    Xiang

    Hi Xiang,
    One more information, currently "Starting BPM From Online Adobe is supported".  You have to invoke the WSDL as you do for any other online application like webdynpro.
    But invoking from Adobe makes sense only if it is done via offiline form (sent through mail). For this functionality you have to wait till release of 7.3.
    Hope this is helpful to you.

    Hello,
    Can any one please advise/suggest on how to create a fragment in LiveCycle Designer ES with web service to populate the drop down list so I can re-use it for another form. I already have a drop down list to populate the data from the web serivice but need some advise on how to create a fragment for this drop down list so I can start to embed it in other forms as well.

  • Share adf content with web service

    Dear All.
    For my purpose I have to share adf context with web service. Let's have an example:
    I have managed bean class "Main.java":
    public class Main{
        public Main(){
        public String AnyResult() {
            BindingContext bindingContext = BindingContext.getCurrent();
            DCBindingContainer dcb = bindingContext.findBindingContainer("view_page1PageDef");
            DCDataControl dc  = dcb.findDataControl("AppModuleDataControl1");
            AppModuleImpl appM = (AppModuleImpl)dc.getDataProvider();
            ViewObjectImpl vo = appM.getVO1();
            vo.executeQuery();
            Row row = vo.next();
            System.out.println(row.getAttribute("data1").toString());
    and web service class:
    @WebService
    public class Job {
        private WebServiceContext context;
    private Main cm;
        @WebMethod
        @Oneway
        public void run() {
            cm = new Main();
        System.out.println(cm.AnyResult());
    Result: BindingContext bindingContext = BindingContext.getCurrent() :: returns NULL
    How to share ADF context with web service to be able to access ADF model.
    Regards.

    +1 on Shay's comment. Your architecture makes no sense.
    Try code like the below to access the AM from a method in the WS
    private final String amDef = " oracle.demo.model.viewer.soap.services.AmName";
    private final String config = "AmNameConfigurationLocal";
    //call in WS method to get AM reference
    private ApplicationModule getApplicationModule(String _amDef, String _config){
    return Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(_amDef,_config);
    //call at end of AM use to release AM
    private void releaseAm(ApplicationModule _am){
    //release AM so it can be found in pool on subsequent calls
    Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(_am, false);
    ... or, why don't you expose the AM as a Web Service ... See: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/web.111230/e16182/bcextservices.htm#CJAJGIEB   (works for all JDeveloper versions starting 11g+). If you Google for this then you find recordings Shay did about how to expose ADF BC AM as a service. Another piece of collateral is here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2012/12-sep/o52adf-1735897.html

  • Error while deploying when working with web service

    Hi friends,
    I am working with web service. When i try to run the build.xml, I'm receiving an error as follows:
    *[javac] D:\MyWorkspace\MyProjectWeb\Javasource\aaa\bbb\ccc\ws\endpoint\ListenerServiceEndpoint.java:27: package org.springframework.ws.server.endpoint does not exist
    [javac] import org.springframework.ws.server.endpoint.AbstractDomPayloadEndpoint;
    [javac] ^ *
    Could anyone please help me in getting this solved??
    Thanks in Advance,
    Robis

    Pretty self-explanatory - the Spring framework jars are missing from the classpath used in compilation.
    If you don't have them, get them from www.springframework.org.

  • BPM Process As a Web-Service Username and Password

    Hi all,
    We have exposed a Process as a Web-Service WSDL to another system . We use Username Token Profile to enter the username and password to connect to the Web-Service..
    Now what we do is we have a role in our project and we create a dummy Web-Service user and add the role to that user and then use its password and username to call the Web-Service.
    Can we change this?
    Can we have a dummy username and password not associated with any role in BPM used in our Web-Service?

    Did you use PAPI code inside your web service or did u just use PAPI Web Services ( like did u just pressed the button Launch PAPI Web Services ) and it created the WSDL for you and u used it to create the client?
    I am using the latest version of OBPM..
    Oracle 10.3.10
    Can you let me know what do u mean by PAPI interface.. Is it the PAPI code of is the PAPI Web Service which is built by BPM automatically and could be used?

    Hello,
    I want to authenticate and authorize client with Web Service published
    by HTTP/SOAP BC.
    Simply if it is an Web Service as J2EE application, I will use
    Basic Authentication with JAX-RPC and Realm.

  • Open client socket from within a Web Service

    Hello,
    I need to open a client TCP/IP socket from within a Web Service-type WebLogic
    Workshop app. When I try to read from the socket, the socket read operation hangs.
    When I use the same code in a J2SE Java app on the same machine using Eclipse
    everything works fine. It also works fine from within WebLogic, if I use a "URL"
    object instead of a "Socket" object. (However, I cannot use this type of connection.)
    Can anyone tell me how to work with raw TCP/IP sockets in this situation?

    Hi Udi,
    I have tested my code from within a Servlet and it works fine.
    The Servlet and the Web Service both call the same simple JAVA class. This class wants to access a DB, and therefor, I am using the Data Source.
    When the Servlet calls the class, everything works fine. But when I use the Web Service to call this class, I get the Exception "No attributes are implemented".
    I hope this information helps you understanding my problem?
    Thank you very much for your help.
    Kind regards,

  • Please help with web services (JSR 172)

    Hello!
    I'm in need of some help. I've only worked with web services some few weeks. I have two web services that I want to access from J2ME.
    Both works nice in regular Java (J2SE). I use axis so with the help of WSDL2Java I got a working client.
    One of them has four operations
        public boolean tryToLoginUser( String username, String password ) {}
        public boolean tryToLogOffUser( String username, String password ){}
        public boolean createUserAccount( String username, String password ){ }
        public boolean removeUserAccount( String username, String password ){ } The problem is when I want to use Sun's Wireless Toolkit 2.2 and create stubs that way with the Stub Generator. It complains with this
    warning: Operation tryToLoginUser is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.
    warning: Operation tryToLogOffUser is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.
    warning: Operation createUserAccount is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.
    warning: Operation removeUserAccount is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.What I can tell is I need to put this in my axis deployment descriptor
    <service name="UserWebService" provider="java:RPC" style="document" use="literal">instead of this:
    <service name="UserWebService" provider="java:RPC">This wont work. It don't work with HTTP GET I get this error

    I understood it that way, so I created a new web service that takes username and password in one String.
    The new web service has four operations
        public boolean tryToLoginUser( String usernameAndPassword ) {}
        public boolean tryToLogOffUser( String usernameAndPassword ){}

    usernameAndPassword
    usernameAndPassword1
    usernameAndPassword2
    usernameAndPassword3
    for the different operations. If I manually changes them to all have the name
    usernameAndPassword
    it works. Why doesnt it work without manual changes? I havent tested the code from Suns Wireless Toolkit 2.2 Stub Generator yet, but that at least doesnt give any errors .
    My other web service doesnt work either if I set style="document" use="literal".
    This web service returns my own classes I have written. It works as I said previously in J2SE with WSDL2Java, but not with style="document" use="literal. When I set this my byte[] which is returned is null when using the client from WSDL2Java, this wasnt the case without style="document" use="literal.
    I also get an error in Suns Wireless Toolkit 2.2 that byte[] is not recoigniced. This wasnt the case with axis WSDL2Java.

    So my questions are:
    Do I really need style=document use=literal for J2ME?
    Can I only have one parameter as input when I use style=document use=literal ?
    Why do I need to manally change the parameter names?
    How can I make Suns Wireless Toolkit 2.2 understand byte[] ?
    Many thanks for help :) (I have to present a solution in 1 week to my J2ME teacher L).

    i was wandering if you manage to successfully generate the stubs through the wireless toolkit at the end? i am currently having similar problem (i.e., trying to generate stub files based on wsdl from axis)? it seems that the WTK can only handle document/literal format, and so i change the wsdl to that. however, now it complains that it can't handle more than one input part in the message, (which is similar to the problem you had). so did you manage to find a solution to that, or J2ME simply does not support more than one arguement as the input?
    thanks in advance,
    lee

  • Insert multi-users for activity with web services

    Hi guru,
    Can anyone send me some sample code to add more than users to activity with web services, and any field are the required fields. I am using web services 2.0
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I think you'll find you get a better response from the CRM On Demand Integration Development forum, this forum is just about the Administration of the system not integration.
    cheers

  • Couldn't start ORACLE ProcMGR V10gR3 with VS2008 service in Service

    Hi All,
    I couldn't start ORACLE ProcMGR V10gR3 with VS2008 service in Service. I've already done the steps in the manual guide Task 3-1-10: Setting Up the Windows Services for Oracle Tuxedo and also read a reference thread from this (http://geekswithblogs.net/BizTalkUnleashed/archive/2012/01/24/installing-peoplesoft-hrms-9.0-on-windows-server-2008-with-sql-again.aspx, Step5: Installing Oracle Tuxedo)
    it prompt this:
    Windows could not start the ORACLE ProcMGR V10gR3 with VS2008 service on Local Computer
    Error 1069: The server did not start due to a logon failure
    I create a user name: TUXADM and group it under Administrators
    Any advise ?
    Thanks.

    I try using local system and restart my desktop and it can run. But can I use local system instead of administrators and new created users?
