Start Development for Fiori app for my organization

Hello Experts,
I am starting with custom app development for my organization and I am not able to sure which development environment I have to use.
SAP River RDE or Eclipse.
Also If I would like to use either of above then what kind of licensing and setup required for my organization.
Could anyone please help on the same.
Regards,
Bhavin

Hi Masayuki,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I checked the River RDE and as I understood it is web-based tool.
So I just would like to know if I would like to use it for my ogranization then what setup is required. Is there any licencing for this as our organization is end client and we are going to use for our production environment. Also, how I can save my applications on our SAP productive environment.
Could you please help me with this .
Regards,
Bhavin

  • Prerequisites on start development for iOS

    Good afternoon!
Let's start developing for iOS here in the company, and I would like to know what equipment and software needed to start.
I've been searching, and apparently I install an OS X Server in a virtual machine on the server to start the development. Is that possible? I mean, do not acquire any Apple machine, but only the software I need?
    Thank you in advance.

    Thanks for the reply, KiltedTim.
If so, what configuration do you recommend for developing opportunistic apps for business?

  • October 2008: How and where to start developing for portable device

Okay people. Seriously where the heck do i get started here?
    I downloaded
    - JEdit to use as the editor
    - Tomcat 6 for the web server
    - Suns Java Wireless Toolkit 2.5.2 for CLDC
But, I can not find a single tutorial that actually functions and is not riddled with errors.
Can someone please post URLs to something that they have actually used and not just oh here is a tutorial i saw.
    [Sun Mobile Forum Cross Post|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5338065&tstart=0]
    Thanks.

I dont know how this may seem, but I think there is a difference between developing for portable device and developing for the MIDP devices.
All the tutorials I could lay my hands on are talking about the MIDP profile as well and I have found one on say Personal Profile or others.
Can anyone clear me on this issue?

  • Sap fiori app, is it mobile app or app works in mobile browser, for receiving notifications

    HI all,
is fiori app is a real mobile app, or is it purely application that works on mobile browser.
we have installed sap fiori client from google playstore. configured sap fiori client with fiori launchpad url, so we are able to access the fiori app.
if we want to develop fiori mobile app to work like news app, for e.g. a notifications should be received to the mobile user, even without mobile user explicitly opening the sap fiori client app. e.g. incase of news app, when the mobile user gets notification, then clicks on the notification, this opens the news app.
can we achieve/develop sap fiori app, which can send the notifications to mobile users.
our customer wants notifications like "Your leave request approved" to their employees on their mobile, as soon as the leave is approved by manager.
currently our customer can see only when they manually launch fiori launchpad from their mobile.
    thanks,
    Madhu_1980.

  • Software development for apple

    Hi everybody.
I intend to start developing for apple products and have some questions related to the subject.
    First of all hardware,
My choice fell on mac mini
    2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
    2GB memory
    500GB hard drive1
    Intel HD Graphics 3000
    OS X Lion
    The questions
    1.       Is 2GB memory enough? 4GB maybe?
    2.       Is an optical drive needed?
    3.       Which non-apple displays are compatible with mac mini, which mouse?
    4.       What hardware is additionally needed?
    Now software
    1.       Is Cocoa Touch framework part of OS X Lion package?
    2.       Is XCode 4 part of OS X Lion package? Which tools besides it do I need for software development? iPhone emulator, is it for free?
    3.       Which implementation of common lisp allows calling CL code from objective-c one?
    4.       How is apple developer support? Is it good, expensive?
    5.       Will apple support native code apps in the future also? Why I ask, I don’t intend to develop in HTML5 and JavaScript.
    6.       What about inter process communication, something like MS COM?
    7.       What do I have to pay attention to in general when starting developing software for apple?
    Thanks and best regards.

    Hardware:
Max the ram in all case...buy 3rd party and install yourself.
There are far too many monitors to list them here. Shop according to your budget...walk into a retailer and test drive there.
Additional hardware is not required, of course...unless you need to scan documents, create videos, etc.
    Software:
    1. Tools are free to download
    2. Free to download
    3. eh?
    4. Two free support tickets are included....fee based after that. Been great in my case. Forums are free.
    5. Native?  is supported
    6. Sure
    7. Broad question...if your discipline is in order you'll be good to go.

  • I want to develop for the iphone

i wanna take the plunge. i wanna join the bandwagon. i dont want to be left out. i want to start developing for the iphone. if i am not wrong i have to know obective c for it right? i already know c, c++ and java. where can i learn objective c for iphone and mac and how should i go about this whole adventure?
    Neerav

In addition to exploring the iPhone Dev Center, get +Beginning iPhone Development: Exploring the iPhone SDK+ by Mark and LaMarche. I spent several months trying to learn the SDK from the online docs and the sample code. Then I got Hillegass, which is one of the best ways to learn Cocoa, but didn't cover the iPhone. Some of the really important controls and controller structures were still a dark mystery. Then Mark and LaMarche came out last November and I couldn't help thinking, "If I had only had this to start with! Just get it. By the time you get to Chapter 9, I expect to see you answering a good number of the questions in this forum.

  • Copy std. Fiori app into Z

    Hi,
I want to copy std. Fiori app (Create sales order - SD_SO_CRE) into my new Z (I don't want to modify the standard one), but I realized that there is no starting point, because Fiori app is started from Launchpad, so what I need to add? I think I need Index.html + App.controller.js + App.view.js...does anyone have these files prepared for std. Fiori applications to get them worked without Launchpad?
    Many thanks Jiri

    Hi Jili,
The standalone parameter is available from UI Add-on SP09 with SAPUI5 library 1.22.3.
    It hides some of buttons.
You can start your extended app by changing application alias in the target mapping.

The URL is same but extended app is launched.

You will need a Mac, with OS X 10.6+ on it, to be able to develop iOS apps.

  • I am a beginner programmHow do I start developing mobile applications for iOS?

I want to start building mobile applications for use on my iPhone.  I have little to no experience in software development.  What do I need to do to get started?

Learning to program and then becoming familiar with xcode and objective-C is a long road to travel.  If you google for xcode tutorials and objective-c tutorials, you might find some.  Also, books is another way become familiar with programming for iOS and OSX.  Go to Amazon and search for xcode 4 and for objective-c and Cocoa programming - look for the books with high ratings.
For example, one of the links at the right lead to the following helpful post:

  • Transactional Fiori Apps for EAM

    Hi,
SAP have released  300+ FIORI apps which includes many fact sheet FIORI apps for EAM. However not a single transactional FIORI app have been released for EAM so far. SAP may be planning to cover them in future release.
Has any one developed FIORI transactional app for EAM?
In my opinion, raising notification (reactive work), inspection round and work completion (notification update + order confirmation). are good use cases for FIORI transactional app.

  • Server and client version for configuring/developing offline kapsel apps

    Hi all.
I am planning to develop an offline Kapsel app.
    I have two questions.
Q1.I have installed SP05 version for SMP server and SP06 version as SMP client. Is this configuration sufficient to begin with?
Q2. Is a delta token enabled SAP ABAP service mandatory for developing an offline app?
    Need your help on this.
    Thanks.

Hi Daniel Van Leeuwen ,Jitendra Kansal
I am using SAP Netweaver Gateway services instead of Integration Gateway.
I am now able to read the data when online, but get an error when I try to open the Offline store.
Does this have to do anything with the Netweaver Gateway?
