Just installed Developer Suite, starting Forms Builder gives an error

Installing the suite (9.0.2.0.1) went properly, and connecting to the database (9.2.0.1.0)as well.
But when starting Forms Builder 9.0 It says:
-error with opening Oracle*terminalfile c:\oracle\DSuite\forms90\fmrNlw.res
And when i klick OK it says:
-FRM10039: unable to start up the form builder
Then i click OK again and I'm thrown back to my desktop.
Anyone who knows how to fix this?

Error starting Forms builder 10.1.2.0.2

Dears,
I just installed Oracle developer suite 10.1.2.0.2 on my xp sp2 machine. When I start the forms builder, I get a window error Oracle forms designer has encountered a problem and needs to clise, when I click on error report contents, it shows the problem in:
Error signature
AppName: frmbld.exe
AppVer: 10.1.2.0
ModeName: usp10.dll
ModVer: 1.420.2600.2180
Offset: 00032645
I tried de-install / install from different version and I get the same error, at the end I de-installed Oracle server 9i r2 from my machine, and tried to re-install developer suite complete again, but facing the same issue.
I had this version working before in previous installation, but I don't know what changed, and my windows version is very stable.
Could you please help, and add any suggestion, otherwise I will have it the hard way and re-install windows, which I really not in the situation to waste more hours for its setup & other application.

Forms Builder Starting With 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,
I'm having a problem while starting Forms Builder from portal. It gives 500 : internal server error.
When I start the check tool it stops in step "XML Forms Builder Jar Download" saying /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/etc/xmlforms/km.appl.xmlforms.xfbuilder_core.jar is unsigned.
When I open java console with trace level 5, the log is as follows :

Hi,
In KM Content goto /etc/xmlforms/km.appl.xmlforms.xfbuilder_core.jar and download the file to local files system.
Now open the jar file with winrar/winzip and open META-INF folder, there you should find SAPPortalsCertificate.SF and SAPPortalsCertificate.RSA files.
If these files exist in META-INF folder, then you jar is signed and if not unsigned. For security reasons classloader does not allow to open unsigned jars as some other jars in classpath are signed.
So if these files not present in META-INF folder, then replace the corrupt km.appl.xmlforms.xfbuilder_core.jar file with file that works on some other server.

Starting Forms 11g Builder

Hello,
In earlier (than 11g) versions of Forms, after install an icon appears on the desktop that starts the Builder. I just installed Forms 11g as part of Fusion Middleware, but there is no Forms Builder icon on the desktop. How do you start Forms Builder in 11g?

Thank you for the suggestion.
I checked the Start Menu programs (I'm using Vista) and I see three Oracle related folders:
Oracle WebLogic. Nothing in this folder even remotely suggests that it is the way to start Form Builder.
Oracle Classic 11g - Home1. Nothing in this folder will launch Form Builder.
Oracle - OH1990965469. There is an Application Development subfolder that contains two entries: SQL Developer and SQL Plus. I expect Forms Builder to be here.
Did I perhaps not install Fusion properly? Install did finish successfully, or so it said.
Where SHOULD one look for the menu command or clickable file to start Forms Builder in Windows Vista?

Can't run form from Form Builder 10g - Port configuration problem?

Hi,
I have installed the Database (10.2.0.1.0) and the Developer Suite (10.1.2.0.2) on two Linux machines (Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4 Basic).
If I enter the frmservlet-URL manually everything seems to be fine.
In one case I enter http://127.0.0.1:8890/forms/frmservlet, in the other http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet; in BOTH cases I get eventually a dark square and the status bar says "Applet oracle.forms.engine.Main started".
HOWEVER, if I create a simple form with Form Builder and click on the Button with the green traffic light ("Run Form"), the form runs only on the machine where frmservlet listens on port 8890.
On the other machine (frmservlet configured to listen on port 8889) Firefox pops up, the URL "http://127.0.0.1:32979/6dOrpwghCqnp8PhMT7KVT533m3IaArqFbPqPBOztZXWYSsNy" gets called, and nothing else happens. The screen displays the string "ORACLE FORMS." and the status bar says "Waiting for 127.0.0.1...", and it stays like this forever.
I assume this is a port configuration problem, but I don't have a clue where to start.
Any suggestions how I should proceed are greatly appreciated.

I doublechecked my configuration.
In the dialog Edit --> Preferences --> Runtime the Application Server URL is set to "127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet".
However, when I attempt to run the form, the URL "http://127.0.0.1:33140/W2dwbV9eXS2fPkuKlxNhCxFWdEihwDviat2uV7ycrSotqwDN" gets called.
The screen displays the string "ORACLE FORMS." and the status bar says "Waiting for 127.0.0.1...", and that's it.
I wonder how the port number 33140 got selected. Interestingly, this time it is a different number; last time it was port 32979. In fact, the port number seems to change each time; I tried again and now it is 33189.
I will now try to set the port number for the frmservlet to 8890.
I choose Edit --> Preferences --> Runtime and set the application server URL to "127.0.0.1:8890/forms/frmservlet".
I stop the container, open /home/oracle/OraHome_1/j2ee/DevSuite/config/default-web-site.xml and change the port number to 8890:

I restart the container, start Form Builder, connect to the database, and open my test form.
When attempting to run the form, the URL "http://127.0.0.1:33437/Pl0n3ky9vmU5z37A7ScBnQhsGwq3jwuzJpgTAKWPMOYIzT8K" gets called (again a new port number, apparently picked radomly within a certain range) and nothing happens: "Waiting for 127.0.0.1...".
However, when I enter the URL http://127.0.0.1:8890/forms/frmservlet I do (eventually, after confirming that I trust the certificate etc.) get a darc rectangle and the status message "Applet oracle.forms.engine.Main started", which tells me that my setup can't be that far off target.

Unable to run Oracle Form Builder from Designer 10g

I am using Windows XP with Oracle Designer 9.0.4.5. From Design Editor, I select Run -> Oracle Forms, nothing happen. I am able to open Form Builder manually (C:\ORACLE\904\bin\ifbld90.exe). After I generated a module (form) from Designer, I have to open the FMB manually from Form Builder. In Designer 9i, I am able to open Form Builder from Designer. Is this a bug for Designer 10g?

I believe this is an installation/configuration issue.
I installed Oracle Developer Suite 9.0.4, which includes Form Builder, Report Builder, and Designer. System Path contains the ORACLE_HOME (c:\oracle\904\bin). I am able to start Form Builder from DOS command (ifbld90.exe). I am also able to start Report Builder (rwbuilder.exe) and Designer (des2k61.exe) from DOS. I am able to Run Oracle Report Builder from Designer, but just not Form Builder. I also checked the Windows registry settings and they seem alright to me.

Unable to start Forms designer in Linux O/s

I have installed Forms6i for linux on my linux workstation. I am able to connect to my database but unable to start forms designer. Its giving me this error
FRM-91111 : Internal error. Windows system startup failure.
FRM-10039 : Unable to start forms builder.
Can anybody help me with this problem. Its very urgent

I am having the exact same problem. I have downloaded Forms6i for Linux from OTN. I have been able to load it and updgrade some 4.5 forms using f60gen, but I have not been able to get the designer to work. I get the same message FRM-91111. ANy information would be greatly appreciated.

move and resize the fields around the canvas

I think it has somthing to do with the Motif library. I have similar problem on Mandrake 7.1 - and the problem is that I event can't open Layout Editor.
Has anyone tried with RedHat 6.2 Enterprise Edition ?

Forms builder 6i starts in minimized window

Hello!
After a properly working installation of Forms builder I suddenly got Forms Builder (version 6.0.8.18.3 on win 2000) as a minimized window (just an icon on the taskbar/Quick Launch) when starting ifbld60.exe. Unable to maximize it to a window on desktop useful for my purpose. Why is it so ? The only changes on my PC are the frequently Windows Update from Microsoft
Tried to reinstall Forms from CD without success.
Runform, Reports and other programs are working OK.
What�s to do. Any ideas from anyone ?

Problem starting XML Forms Builder

I have a SAP EP 6.0 SP2 Patch 28 portal where I newly implemented the how to guide "How To Secure Permissions fro Initial Content In SAP EP 6.0 SP2".
In this guide I need to create a new Content Manager role, due to a SAP Note 775117.
All this seems ok, but now I am not able to start the XML Forms Builder.
I am getting an error message that says something about the "Access is denied:com.sap.portal.system/applications/com.sap.km.cm/components/xfbuilder - security zone:medium_safety/Com.sap.km.cm"
I have tried out several ways, then the recommendation, of implementing to get this application to be loaded, but unfortunately - this does not work.
Have anyone else reach some problem regarding this issue??

Unable to create new in form builder

I'm currently using oracle 9i and within form builder, i've built a form with three tabs consisting of data taken from a table, and 2 views.
I've also created a sequence in sql+ that starts with 6 so i can use it to add new serial_no.
But the problem is whenever i press the create button which really is pl/sql code
SELECT no_serial_sequence.NEXTVAL
FROM dual;It doesn't creates a new record, instead it changes the current record.
Can anyone please give me some suggestions on where to look for errors?

Can not open PLLs on Forms Builder 10g

Hi Folks,
everytime I try to open an existing PLL-File via the Forms Builder FileOpen-Dialog I have got the message
    PDE-PLI018 Couln not find library
    Drive:\Path\LibName.pll
Pressing the OK-Button returns to the FileOpen-Dialog. The selected FileType in the Dialog take effect to the filelist but nothing else.
Note that the file exists and I select it from the Filelist!

PS: I can recompile forms with attached libraries if the PLX-Files (6i) are available, but the forms will not work with these PLX-Files.

I tried to generate a new library. This works fine until I saved it. After naming the library and pressing the save button in the dialog the pll file was created and the same error message appears.
I closed form builder and tried to reopen the library: same error.
I generated another new library and save this by selecting the first new I generated. Jippee! I get the message that the file already exists! I selected "overwrite" and the file was overwritten. After that the same error appears.
How can I (re)open PLL files? It is no solution to generate a new library overwriting the old one everytime some changes should made.
Trying to build the library (Ctrl+T) produces another error:
    FRM-91507: Internal Error: Unable to generate library.
Compiling (Ctrl-Shift-K) works fine.

there's no user except of me on the pc and server (I'm working via rdp-client on a virtual server), no server and no oc4j task or instance started. The one and only program that runs is forms builder. The error occurs if I just try to open a pll file via the file open dialog of forms builder.
With my admins we found that forms builder creates a (temporary) file (e.g. s22o without extension with 827392 bytes) in c:\ but only if I'm the actual user. After I'm getting the permission to create and update files on c:\ forms builder was able to open pll files. Now we're trying to find out why this accurs only on my login. With other users we tried these file was created on F:\ which is the personal drive of the user. I'm only wondering about the fact that temporary files were not created in the TEMP folder defined by the TMP or TEMP environment variable.
So we solved this unusual problem in an unusual way.

Same issue here... Been trying to get this working since a week now. I tried all the solutions like memory heap and all but no luck.
One thing that I would like to know is that, in some threads the resolution was to recompile the INS_FORMS.MK file under /forms/lib32 but with my installation I don't have that "lib32" folder under /forms/ and I can not even find that file anywhere in my entire installation.
I am using 12.1.1 on Windows Server 2008.
Any help or guidelines is greatly appreciated.

System takes long time to Save/Activate using SFP Form Builder

We are planning to customize the Travel Expense PDF Form PTRV_EXPENSE_FORM in ECC 6.0 using transaction SFP FORM BUILDER (ABAP Workbench). As the initial step we copied it into Z form and started the changes. Here is the problem: Even for a small change on the Layout, system is taking long time to complete the process.
For example:
For Saving the changes: 6 to 7 minutes
For Activating the changes: 12 to 13 minutes.
On the server side :
we are on ECC 6.0, SAP NW04s SP 9 for EA-HR
ADOBE LiveCycle Designer 7.1 (Patch 3 applied).
On client machine :
we have SAP GUI 640 Patch Level 21,
ADOBE Reader 7.0.9.
Client machine has 1 GB RAM & 40 GB Hard Drive.
