Start premiere pro 2.0

I installed Premiere pro 2.0 successfully, but it will not start. Is it compatible with windows 7?

If you have Win7 64bit PRO or higher, try Microsoft's Virtual XP... this is not the same as the built-in compatibility mode

    Do you have dual graphics adapters?
    Go to the Windows Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound and then select Device Manager... In Device manager you click the + sign to the left of Display Adapters... and see if 2 are listed

  • Error starting Premiere Pro CC

    Hi All
    When I start premiere pro CC, i get an error (see attached screenshot) saying it cant find my documents location. As far as I know, I havent changed this location, it is the default windows 8 ultimate location
    How to I find out what location premiere is looking for and how to i change it so i dont get these start up errors
    each time
    I have had this error for some time, just getting around to reporting it, but as far as i know
    i didnt change anything to cause it
    The message doesnt refer to a specific project, as the error comes up at the time I launch PPro

    I have created a new account, and premiere opens ok with that, so it sounds like something account related as you suggested
    What i really want to do is fix the original problem. The thought of setting up a new account with the various settings I have for both adobe and non-adobe apps is a bit to much
    If anyone from Adobe can reply please, what has happened here?
    I get the same problem if I try to install adobe reader 11. compaining invalid drive Z error 1327. Somewhere in deep down adobe it is looking for something on drive Z (i am assuming
    this is the same location problem as premiere)
    I have tried doing a subst z: to c: but that makes no difference
    HOW do i change this????
    Also, does CC membership entitle you to Adobe support?

  • Starting Premiere Pro

    Every time I start Premiere Pro, I get an error
    "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
    but no notifications appear after I close the window.  When I click on the icon the second time it always starts OK and works fine. Other apps in Creative Cloud that I use (Photoshop, Affter Effects, Illustrator), don't exhibit this behaviour.
    What's going on?

  • Getting error in ASLFoundation.dll when trying to start Premiere Pro 4

    When I try to start up Premiere Pro CS4 I get the error
    The procedure entry point ?GetContainedFilePaths@Directory@ASL@@QBEXABV[very long string continues for six lines] could not be located in the dynamic link library ASLFoundation.dll.
    then it tells me
    LoadLibraryEx Startup.dll failed with error 127: The specified procedure could not be found.
    I've tried reinstalling premiere, and (as suggested by some people) uninstalling QuickTime, but this makes no difference.
    Premiere worked fine ten days ago, and since then I've been on holiday, so I'm not sure what could have changed.  Photoshop & Illustrator still work.
    I have Adobe CS4 Production Premium, running on a brand new ASUS under Vista Home Premium (64-bit).
    Any suggestions?

    Glad that you got it sorted. Sometimes, simple OS updates can kill things. Usually, this will be something like an audio, or video driver, but could be more.
    the only person who could have changed anything is the cat, and I don't think he's that bright.
    Just wait until all those exotic cat toys start arriving from the on-line stores! You'll see who's bright. I also bet that he's memorized most of your charge cards...
    Did you happen to jot down the "components" that did not install properly? Might be interesting.
    Anyway - you're up and running and I hope that it stays that way.

    I have some problem with Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud. When I start the program I got a window with this message: "your entire creative world, now all in one place. Then I got one option: "license this software. I press that option and got a "sign in required" and I sign in with my adobe id. Then I get this message:
    "thanks"
    "Creative Cloud will now be licensed for **my Abobe id**. Click continue to enjoy the software. when I press continue the same prossedyre starts again. Can some help me with this?

  • Why do I have to reset workspace everytime I start premiere pro cc 2014?

    Since the latest update my situation with premiere have been bad to say the least; random crashes for no spceific reasons, adobe media encoder doesnt start or when it starts i cant encode anything with it.
    And the most annoying part is this:
    Everytime i start premiere it opens up with this useless workspace. Of course i can go to window/workspace/reset current..
    It also has different timelines opened everytime i open the same projects. I dont know whats going on..
    I´ve done a complete removal with the adobe cleaner tool, removed my preference files etc. it worked normally for 30 minutes. and now its back to where i was before..
    Any suggestions?

    Did you already manage to fix this problem? I have the exact same issue and it's driving me nuts. Started when I updated a few days/weeks (can't remember) ago.
    Unchecking 'Import Workspace from Projects' didn't work. Also, I've tried deleting workspaces etc. but that didn;t work either.
    By the way; how many displays are you using on what videocard? Maybe that's an issue? I have 3 monitors on a GTX680 4Gb. Working on Windows 8.1.

    When I have an insert from After Effects in Premiere Pro, and when I render these parts in the sequence, everything is fine untill I restart Premiere Pro: the render files do not load. Checking the cache directory however, they do exist! Anybody knows how to solve this issue?

    I failed to mention that I tried this on another computer as well with a completly different lesson. This time I brought the whole footage in to afteraffects and did the keying and then went back to CS6 and tried to render it, and it locked up my second computer the same way.

  • Can't Start Premiere Pro

    I'm  having trouble lately trying to upload premiere and sometimes it  freezes when uploading a project..plus sometimes it does even upload at all.. ever since the recent update Ive been having  these issues. What should I do? My OS is Windows 8.1

    I got pretty good at fighting under the game play designed into The Witcher, but this new system they have for The Witcher 2 is kicking my butt!  Geralt, especially at this level, is supposed to be one badass fighting machine, someone people are really afraid of, but I just can't get to that same level of competency I'd reached at the end of the original.

  • Premiere Pro CS4 CRASHING ON START UP

    When I start premiere pro it will begin loading and then open the window. In the window the screen is white with an hourglass loading symbol. If I click anywhere in the window Premiere stops responding.  I can't end the task in Windows Task manger, or the process.  My computer wont even shut down or restart when this happens. To get this to stop I have to hold the power off button, not even manuel shutdown commands will work. I know that this wasnt an install issue, because Premiere worked fine for 6 months before it started doing this. Despite me telling Adobe technical support this, they still think that my system is not capable. I am running Vista 64, have a Core 2 Duo 2.26 processor, 4 gb ddr3 ram, and an Nvidia 9800 GTS graphics card.  Any Help would be great.

    Click on "Start" then click "run" then type "msconfig"
    Click on the "Startup" tab,
    Note which items are checked if everything is not checked (you'll want to write this down)
    Click "Disable All"
    Click on the Services" tab.  Check off "Hide all Microsoft Services"
    Note which items are checked if everything is not checked (you'll want to write this down)
    Click on "Disable All"
    Reboot your computer.
    Start Premiere.
    If Premiere starts sucessfully, then start turning on services and startup programs and rebooting until you find the culprit.  This is a long and tedious task but it may be the only way.  For me, it was my mouse driver that was keeping Premiere from starting.

    Head to the Adobe site's 'knowledgebase', type optimise CS3 for (Windows XP, if that's what your using) and following the instructions there, house clean. I find doing this helps clean out those nasty messages
