Start the BI service as Diffrent user in OBIEE

Hi ,
I have installed OBIEE 11g on my PC under "Ram" user having admin permission.
But now I would like to start BI service under "Somu" user also having admin permission.
OS : windows 2012 server
OBIEE 11g
If it is possible please share the steps.

Getting an error message when trying to reinstall iTunes - 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start the system services.

After a recent iTunes update my iTunes failed to start. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it again, but during installation an error message pops up saying: 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start the system services. The three option buttons which can be clicked are 'Abort', 'Retry' and 'Ignore'. I tried pressing ignore, which allowed iTunes to install. However, it seemed that not all parts off the programme installed, as it wouldn't allow me to open iTunes again. Whenever I press retry it just makes the same message pop up again. How can I show that I have 'sufficient privileges'?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Error while starting the Informatica services

Hi All,
I have installed Informatica on my local machine. All of sudden my Informatica services in services.msc went down. If I start the Informatica service means, it is starting in services.msc. But after few seconds it is again going down in services.msc. Again if I start the service then it is starting and after 15 seconds it is going down again and again. I am not sure with the issue.
Due to that Informatica administrator page is not logging in and also I couldn’t connect to any of the Informatica clients.
I checked the catalina.out file and find the below error message:

Error REP-0001 While starting the Report service

When trying to start the reports service from 9iAS, i am getting error message as "REP-0001 Unable to open the message file", and in the Window Title it shows "Message 16200 not found, No message file for product rw".

You(The user) need to have access permission to read the mesg files. The DBA installing Reports will be able to run the reports.
Grant read access to rwus.msb and rwus.msg files on $ORACLE_HOME/reports/mesg/

Could you confirm which account when you start the cluster service? The Cluster service is a service that requires a domain user account.
The server cluster Setup program changes the local security policy for this account by granting a set of user rights to the account. Additionally, this account is made a member
of the local Administrators group.
If one or more of these user rights are missing, the Cluster service may stop immediately during startup or later, depending on when the Cluster service requires the particular
user right.

I think, then, that the problem is one of permissions. What I've done on Windows 7 installations is to go to the InDesign application folder (in program files), select the InDesign.exe file, use the Context menu (right-click) to display the Properties panel, and then turn on the Run This Program as an Administrator option in the Privelege Level section of the Compatibility tab. Click the Change Settings for All Users button to apply the change (assuming that your current user profile is an Administrator).

Solved this after some trawling through xml configuration files on the server.
The file C:\Oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\owb\j2ee\config\http-web-site.xml contains the reference to keystore.jks:
<ssl-config keystore="*%ORACLE_HOME%*/owb/j2ee/config/keystore.jks" keystore-password="->keystoreadmin"/>
changing this to:
<ssl-config keystore="C:\Oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1/owb/j2ee/config/keystore.jks" keystore-password="->keystoreadmin"/>
and the OC4J container starts successfully.

Yes,It was working earlier.
When I have added NTLM authentication for FDM I am getting that error,but instead of that if
I am adding the authentication provider as LDAP(CSS) I am not getting that error.
So finally i have added only one authentication provider and that is LDAP(CSS).
I fallowed ur document for integrating the FDM application with planning application.(http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2008/07/planning-v11-drill-back.html )
For the global logon information I have given admin and password , which I have given while adding the LDAP authentication (CSS).
I am getting machine profile missing error when i clicked on the dimension and the target dimension test box contain connection failed.
Can u suggest me where am I wrong?

Error while starting the BI services

I am using obiee via windows server 2003, suddenly my OS stopped working and because of which I had to power off my system abnormally. when i logged into the system and started the BI Services, the weblogic service exited with the following error:-

Mailbfr not starting the mail services back up

I had mailbfr on a cronjob. Last night after it was done running, it didn't start the mail services back up. I have taken mailbfr out of my cronjobs so my mail server can continue to run. How would I best troubleshoot this?
My cronjob was the most basic of things:
0 2 * * * /usr/sbin/mailbfr -b /mailbfrcronjob --mode incremental

That's exactly what I was trying yo explain. Check first if Server Admin is the problem. If it is, by fixing Server Admin you fix the problem.

Could not start the oracle service on local computer

Could not start the oracle service on local computer, did not return an error blah, blah.
I am running Oracle 9i r2 Windows, and have choosen to start my instances manually. When i start them up I get the above error message. But if I am a little patient the services do start up and all is fine, so far as i can see anyway.
I am curious to know why does this error message arise.

To start the database in windows you have to start first the OracleService<SID> service.
These are the steps that you have to do at the command line:

How to start the jms service?

I have installed the oracle9ias on linux 7.2. I start the EM web manager, and start other component in the component list. and I found that the 9127 port not open.
how can i start the jms service. the rmi port is already open.

Hello Xiaofeng,
The 9127 port is only used by the standalone OC4J J2EE Container (i.e. when you run OC4J outside of Oracle9iAS). When you run OC4J as part of Oracle9iAS, the JMS port is allocated by OPMN (Oracle Process Manager and Notification Server) dynamically that's why you don't see anything on 9127, if you go to the EM Web Manager, click on Server Properties of your OC4J instance, you should be able to see a configuration parameter that specifies the range of JMS port, OPMN will use a port number in the range for the JMS server. When you start Oracle9iAS (with embedded OC4J), the JMS server will start automatically.
Another thing to point out is that the JMS service in OC4J is a light-weight, memory based messaging server and it doesn't support persistence. If you want to deploy production JMS application, please use OracleJMS instead, which is based on Oracle Database Advanced Queuing, in that case, you start the JMS service by starting the database.

Could not start the TNSListener service on Local Computer

I installed Oracle 10g rel 2 under Windows 2000. The computer is DHCP, so I installed the MS loop adapter, and am able to successfully the new IP address.
SQL*Plus returns this error:
ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
When I try to start the listener via control panel > services, I get this Microsoft Management Console error:
Could not start the OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener service on Local Computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal service error. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.
My full computer name (via control panel) is dimension4100.ora.newmiddleclass.com and it is a member of workgroup WORKGROUP.
C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts contains (I added the 2nd line):

That helped somewhat... now I am able to start the listener. However, SQP*Plus now says:
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor.

I'm using dimension4100 for the SQL*Plus Host String in the login window.

When I open Itunes it says,Windows could not start the bonjour service on local computer.

Just recently, I had a problem with the AVFoundation thing on my computer. Well I got that fixed, but now it has a message coming up that says " Windows could not start the Bonjour Service service on local computer. Error 3: The system could not find the path specified.
Please tell me how to fix it.

That's an unfamiliar one, steve.
Let's see what happens if we try to start the service manually.
In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications"
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the Window to better see what's going on.)
Select the Bonjour Service and click "Start".
Do you get an error message then? If so, what does that one say?
