Start-up disk not the first one to load or appear

I just switched to 10.5 and have the following challenge.
My MBP HD is partitioned in to 3 sections.
Partition 1 = OS10.4 with programmes.
Partition 2 = OS10.4 with other programmes.
Partition 3 = files.
Under 10.4 the MBP would load the start-up partition first (partition 1 or 2) and the other partitions next. This would result in the disks appearing in order of loading. For example if I start up from Partition 1 the order would be from the top:
Partition 1
Partition 2
Partition 3
Followed by any files that might be on the desktop.
In other words the computer would load the start-up volume first and display this at the top.
I have now switched to 10.5 and this no longer happens. It seems now that the MBP displays the Partition wherever it was last put. Is there a way of changing this? Or has something changed in the OS?
I would like it to load/show the Partition with the active OS as top one so I can see from what OS we are presently working by seeing the active partition up top.
Any suggestions?

The mail account listed at the top of Folder Pane and top one in Account Settings is the default mail account.
To set a different default mail account:
'Tools' > 'Account Settings'
or
'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Account Settings'
* Select the account name you want as default
* Click on 'Account Actions'
* Select: Set as Default'
* Click on OK

I was excited to see your prompt reply. I think I followed your instructions, but approaching this problem through the iPad turned out not to be the answer.
On my iPad, I selected the iPod app at the bottom of the first home page.The iPod app opened, but I didn't see anything that looked like "account name." I saw, from left to right: a plus sign (to create a new playlist), the Genius icon, then the buttons for Songs, Artists, Albums, Genres, and Composers.
Even so, your tip gave me an idea. On my iPod Touch, in Settings >> Store, I saw my OLD account (let's say it's [email protected]). I clicked View Account, signed out, then signed with the correct account information.

this site even sucks, I have had a running battle with verizon for four years. I had an air card that kept going from 1x 2g 3g 4g and back. they told me that i was in a switching station and my issue. I told them my house doesnt move. then after putting up with this and haveing to wait to send my invoiecdes to my customers when it happened to work was unacceptable. we finnalyhad to say goodbye. O boy that didn't settle well. they have put me through the ringer. To the point that just today I got it straightened out. I think. they suspended my service and then sent me a bill for 73 bucks. they tried to charge me 350.00 for terminating and I have been a customer for over ten years. they charge me little fees on my bill every couple of months. Its incredible. If i ran my business liike this I would be out of business in a month. I stuck till 2015 then I'm gone, somebody has to have better service. fyi I pay 210 bucks per month, I'm not a small customer. I have many more comments but this is getting long, will give more details later

Well, that was pointless. You didn't specify anything that happened, and I'm not quite sure who you expected to see this. This is mainly a customer-to-customer support forum. Verizon does respond, but it's debatable whether they would reply here.
Also, the ETF applies to everyone. You signed a contract with them agreeing to the ETF. It doesn't matter whether you've been a customer for 10 years or just started last month, a contract is a contract.

My audio only appears on the fourth track not the first one below video.

Any ideas why? And how I can avoid having to delete empty audio tracks every time I import something? I notice that the Audio 4 also has a small (5.1) to the right of it. Other tracks have a symbol that looks like sound waves instead.

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
You can set Snow Leopard up to access the email on an existing iCloud account which has been set up on a compliant device, and you may be able to sync iCal using an unsupported (and possibly unreliable) hack, but no other facilities will work You cannot open an iCloud account on Snow Leopard.

I know that I am not the first one, but again troubles with the magic mouse

I still have troubles connecting my magic mouse with a Mac Pro (Mac OS 10.6.4). The same mouse works fine with my Macbook (again with 10.6.4). I uninstalled all the additional mouse software that I previously installed (Logitech) and installed the magic mouse software, but it is always only recognized as an Apple wireless mouse, no matter what I do.
Any ideas what to do?

Jump cuts to beat when NOT the first clip

Hi I want to add jump cuts to a sound clip that is not the first one in the project.
After a lot of false starts in trying to get jump cuts onto a clip when the music was just
(a) attached to an exisitng film clip (green underneath the clip) - Won't work. or
(b) a pinned - sound clip first, movie clip second but where the sound does not butt up against another background clip (wrapped in purple) - Won't work
I've got it to work where it is background music - sound first, movie second (wrapped round in green). I've opened up the Clip Trimmer, added the beats on the beat with the 'M' key - highlighted the movie cliip - selected Clip>Jump cut to Beat Markers> chosen a frame rate BUT only where the background clip is the FIRST background.
If you add more songs to a project and go through the same sequence as before the number of frames is not greyed out but the app just doesn't do anything. All the tutorials online only ever show you adding jump cuts to the one and only music track but never to the second one.
This is v. frustating. Sounds like a bug to me.
Is there a way of breaking up the project so that it will play as one continuous film and so allowing different parts of the film to be the first piece of background music?

There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

Module web app list tags - how to start a list to not include the first one?

I have two panels displaying a web app list and want them to follow on from each other, so panel one displays the first one {module_webapps,24027,l,,,,false,1,false,1} and then the second panel displays the 2nd and 3rd.
How would I go about it?

It's a tray loading drive, there should be a little hole next to it, just large enough for a paper clip. Stick the end of the paper clip in it and the tray should open.

After update to 12 every start is like the first one (add-ons check+what's new page)

After updating from FF11 to FF12, every start of the browser is like the first one after update: checking the add-ons compatibility, and displaying "what's new" page. I could live with it but it doesn't make it less annoying. Help anyone!

Sometimes when I play songs in Itunes by double clicking on them, Itunes will place the song as the first one on the album. It will chnage the order of the songs on the album, and I can not switch them back to the correct order.

If I just hit play, this doesnt happen. As a result, I have several albums now in which the songs are in the wrong order. Its very frustrating, as this error then transfers over to my ipod every time I sync it. When I choose the info. for the songs, it has them correctly listed (i.e., it lists the songs as being #1 of 19 on the CD, for example). But then the song will have placed by Itunes as #5 of 19 for whatever reason. Itunes does not do this every time, but does it with enough frequency to be maddening. Any thoughts?

The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...
