Started updating to 8.2 through Itunes and my IPhone 5 bricked?
I was charging my phone with my computer and Itunes told me it would download and update it to iOS 8.2 so I said sure and didn't think anything of it. Then I look at my phone and it gives me the "plug into Itunes screen" even though it was already plugged in. Then I look at ITunes and it says "there is a problem with the iphone that requires it to be updated or restored" and when I clicked update it tells there's been a problem and I'll have to restore to factory settings. I would like to not have to do that if at all possible. Even if I turn my phone on and off it keeps going back to the "please plug in to Itunes".
Same thing happened to me on my iPhone 6 when I upgraded to 8.1.2. I had to do a restore to get the upgrade to finish. I have been putting off doing another upgrade until I really need to. 8.2 does contain a security update so I have been thinking about doing that one but again, am afraid of it making me restore it again.

Ok so i have this iPod touch (3rd gen) and i'm trying to update it through iTunes and when i click check for update it keeps saying this version of iPod software (2.2.1) is your current version. what do i do? how do i update it?
You have a 1st generation iPod Touch. It can not be upgraded beyond iOS 3.1.3, it is available at the link below.

I did a full system restore to my phone along with the new 7.0 update. Now I went to restore my phone setting back through Itunes and it goes through all the steps but when it is completed it wont get past the "Connect to Itunes" screen

Hi there I have a iPhone 3G and it was with O2 but needed to go onto 3 network so someone on my local market unlocked it and the phone was working fine until I tried to update it through iTunes and it always now stops loading towards the end with an error is there a way to get the phone working again please.Shame you had the iPhone hacked as O2 usually unlock their customers iPhones happily.

After updating to ios 8 through itunes, I lost my music and now I cant transfer some music from itunes (macbook pro) to my iphone 4s back. Any idea how can I do that?
After posting this, I've since found out that my iOS iTunes App on my iPhone 6 Plus works all OK when on WiFi, it just won't work when on the data/3/4G connection.

Please help me. Have 5.1.1 on my iPad and it cant find new verson. Have tryed through iTunes and WIFI. But it says that the latest verson 5.1.1 is already installed. But I want The 7.1.1 verson.
You say you have an iPad 2. However, I suspect you may actually have an original iPad. Does your iPad have a camera? If it does not, it is an original iPad and iOS 5.1.1 is the highest version it supports.

Hi, my iphone 5 encountered an unknown error while updating to iOS 7 via itunes and is now stuck in recovery mode and prompts me to restore the phone when I connect it to itunes but then I would lose all my data. I DO NOT have any back ups on itunes. Is there anyway to get out of recovery mode without restoring or recover data after a restore?
Or any other suggestions please? ThanksAs pdroth said, you should have gotten a backup made when you started the update of iOS. If you cannot find a backup, and the phone is in recovery mode, there are no futher suggestions to make. To get the phone working again you have to restore. You cannot force a backup at this time since it is already in recovery mode. It will not allow anything else but a restore at this point.

You will need to restore the software via the following procedure:
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings. -
My iphone 5s wont turn on. I tried to recover it through itunes and it didnt work. It said that due to an error my phone could not be restored. However when I plug it into itunes via my computer it turns on, I get the apple, the white line beneath it???? As soon as I remove it from the computer it goes completly off again???????

I have a daily news subscription paid through iTunes and it's telling me it cannot find my subscription . How do I fix this?
Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, try this a few times if necessary. If still problem, you may have to just Restore your iPhone to get it working. In the future sync your iPhone with iTunes routinely and when it contains important data, iCloud when set correctly will do this for you continuously.

Hello I just found a problem with my Ipod nano 6th generation. It worked fine an hour ago but then the screen turned a dark grey. Did the restore through Itunes and then it went white. But now it's totally unresponsive and seems to be off even when it is plugged into itunes. Can't even restore it. I get Error 1415?

Ok. You don't have to select your number. Just check your email under your "grey" number and then at the bottom of this page you will see the option "Start new conversations from". Select your number.

Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
Restart your computer.
See if that resolves the issue and gets your video playing again.

I just dropped an image I took of a imac G5 onto a powerbook, and it reads the drive size as 120 GB or so. The actual drive is only 80GB. What gives? How do I fix it?
