Startegy to have multiple databases over the time.
What do you think is the best approach to have different versions of the DB in the time?
Facts:
-There is only one tablespace TABSPACE
-There are two schemas:
One is data schema SDATA
The other one is a synonym schema SSYN
The data is present in SDATA is accessed through SSYN
-The DB is updated monthly
The requirement:
Have the objects(tables, sequences,packages...) and the data as the DB where in particular month with the ability to easily switch from the sate of a particular month to other.
Constraints:
The schema names must be always the same.
No version number and your explanation is, likely due to language difficulties, impossible to decipher.
I would suggest you find someone with good English skills and repost including details and version number. Include examples where-ever possible to add clarity.

I'm sure you can but is it possible with exchange 2010 to have multiple databases on the same LUN. We currently have 8 DB's all writing to their own DB drive and separate log drive so 16 drives in total. I need to spin a new DB up this week and

Yes, multiple databases could be placed on the same LUN, but it's not recommended.
If you have 2 drives fail at the same time (it happens more than you think), then losing 100% of your DBs is a lot worse than losing one of them or some of them depending on where the failures are.

Here is a few tips and tricks I have picked up over the time of having a blackberry.
In any message application, scroll onto the message and press T to go to the top of the conversation. And B to get to the bottom.
On your photos click I to zoom in and O to zoom out.
Hold alt and press LGLG (not capitals) and this will bring up you event log. Press the blackberry button and clear log. ( This makes your phone faster and removes any bugs )
If your display picture does not change within 10 minutes follow these steps applications>files>device>I M in the (I M folder) delete the whole thing! This just automatically saves things you do not need.
DO NOT save chat history to device! This makes bbm incredibly slow and its common knowledge to.
If your memory card is full or over 4 gb. It should not be in the phone. This also makes your phone slow.
The app "screen grabber" is a vrius! It has very good rating, but it is full of bugs!
Want to save battery?
Turn your backlight brightness to 10.
Turn off the LED indicator
DON'T download battery saving apps, they do not work there is no way possible to save battery by having something on your phone that takes battery life to power.
Make sure you have blackberry protect app! If your phone is ever stolen/lost you can trace it from blackberry desktop.
Delete all call logs, and texts to make phone run faster.
Most helpful tip I can give anyone for battery saving is DO NOT CONNECT TO 3G! Sounds stupid? Why have a 3g option if you don't want to use it? ... Connecting to 3G takes the most battery out of anything. Because 3g is on it constantly searches for full signal, which takes it out on your battery. Try it, connect to 2G only! Not 3G or 2g and 3g... Just 2g!

Can anyone tell me how I keep everything I had in my old photoshop, now I've updated to Photoshop CC 2014. It did give me the option to transport over all my presets, but because I didn't have internet access at the time, it couldn't do it. Now I'm not getting the option. Please help.
Migrating Presets does not require a network connection and you can still migrate your cc presets if you still have CC installed. Use Photoshop menu Edit>Presets>Migrate Presets... Migrating presets only migrates presets. It does not migrate Plugins, settings, extensions and scripts. CC 2014 is also not completely backwards compatible with CC. Support for Flash Panels and Oil Painter filter have been removed. So extensions like mini bridge no longer work in CC 2014

I have multiple groups in the cloud. I have checked the group I want to use. the next time I go to my contacts they are all checked, how can I stop this?
Are they coming from one forum (e.g. this one, 'iTunes Store'), or from just one thread ? If one community then what shows at the top right of the screen under the Notifications box for the forum - if it says 'stop email notifications' then click on it.

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. Since then I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been experiencing lots of beach balls, freezes, etc. They're so bad that I've had to forcibly shut down 3 times, and each time can't restart. Each time I've erased and done a clean install of Mountain Lion from a USB, then used migration assistant and time machine to bring files back. Can we have multiple database audit specification on a single server audit ?
Hi,
We are having a 2 node Sql Clustered instance of SqlServer 2008 R2 Enterprise running
on windows server 2008 R2. We have about 88 databases in the instance.
Our servers run on Intel Xeon(R) CPU X5670 @2.94 GHz with 6 cores(12 logical processor).
The servers are having 12GB of RAM.
We are planning to introduce database level audit to find if there is any activity on
some of our databases. These databases are not growing in size and there is a request
from the application team to ascertain whether the endusers are accessing the database
over a period of time. In this context I have 2 queries-:
1)Can we have multiple database audit specification on a single server audit ie can we
audit multiple databases to find out the user activity on those databases at a time? Or
should we a separate server audit for each database audit specification?
2)We plan to have the target of the audit on a file on the same shared volume(lun) where
the MDF file and LDF files are located(in EMC storage) and in this context what performance
monitor counters should we watch to ascertain whether there is any performance degradation
due to introduction of server audit.

The Database Audit Specification object also belongs to a SQL Server audit. You can create one database audit specification per SQL Server database per audit.
The database audit specification collects database-level audit actions raised by the Extended Events feature. You can add either audit action groups or audit events to a database audit specification. Audit events are
the atomic actions that can be audited by the SQL Server engine. Audit action groups are predefined groups of actions. Both are at the SQL Server database scope. These actions are sent to the audit, which records
them in the target. Do not include server-scoped objects, such as the system views, in a user database audit specification.

We are working on an enterprise-level EJB based application. Because the scalability and fail-over requirement of the application, we have to at least have 2 database in the backend. Ideally, the 2 database should like one for the Weblogic servers in the app server cluster that are accessing them. There are severl possible solutions:
1. Have one database as the master data source and another database as stand-by. When the master dabase fails, we could use the Oracle hot-failover to failover to the standby database (am I right? ). The bad thing about this solution is that we are wasting a big box doing nothing, just as standby.
2. Use a database cluster. I saw some of the discussion in the newsgroup. Basically, the database(s) in the cluster will look like one logical database for the app server cluster. Does anyone have any comments on this solution? Please provide details.
3. We come up a solution which requires partition of the application into several logical funtion groups and partition the data as well. Even though the solution works technically, it will create a management nightmare for the server cluster.
Anyone has experience with this? Please comment. Thanks a lot!

Weblogic 7 has a new concept called network channel, where there is a section talking
about clustering over multiple NIC cards. I was confused by the cluster address in
customized network channel (no example there). I tried to use multiple NIC cards
for the purpose of network failover, but failed in clustering environment, although
I succeed in single server environment.

Latency in accessing Citadel Database over the LAN
Hi!
I have two systems running LabVIEW 2013 with DSC 2013 and I am using one of the systems to acquire (using shared variables) and log data internally in the citadel database. I have made an application to visualize this data either locally on the same PC or over the LAN. When I am using the application on the same local machine which is logging the data, its all working fine and very fast. But when I access the same database over the LAN, the application takes a finite amount of time (anything between 2-18 secs everytime) to retrieve and show the data. Since the database size is very small (less than 5MB), logging rate is low (1Hz), number of traces are not much (14 traces), data is boolean, it should not take so much time to show the values over the LAN (the application should be as snappy as it is on the local PC). I am at my wits' end but I am not able to reduce this latency or find any logical reason for it to be present.
I specify the logging PC's name whenever I want to retrieve the trace (as shown in the attached picture), I have a feeling that if I replace that with the IP address of the system, things should become fast. But whenever I try this, LabVIEW throws up an error saying that the specified trace/database does not exist.
I am attaching a pic of the architecture and a simplified image of how I am retrieving the data from the database with this post.
Any help shall be deeply appreciated.

Additionally, you must open the associated ports (http) on the firewall (doesnt matter what firewall you use). You will have to map the extranal ip to the internal IP that you have set on the EBS server configuration. In some cases, you have to enable the proxy as well.

How do I have multiple versions of the same .chm?
Our developers recently were required to make changes to an earlier version of our software (thank goodness for backups). So I'm having to revert to that earlier version, make changes, and create a revised .chm. HOWEVER, I already had completed the upcoming release's .chm and don't want to lose all of those changes. To make matters more complicated, I also have requests for changes to the Help for the future release.
So, how does everyone have multiple versions of the .chm on their system at the same time and keep them separate, yet compile the right files with the right version? I had thought I could just create a new folder with the files that changed for the various versions, but updating them in Word 2007 is not a pretty proposition. I'll then have to import them in and replace the "old" ones. There has to be an easier way! I'm sure other people do this on a regular basis, but this is the first time I've had to go back a version, maintain the next version, and start work on a yet-to-be-released version all at the same time.It never ceases to amaze me how questions on the forum are like buses, none for an hour then three come along. Not your fault but this was asked just a couple of days ago.
When your developers issue a new version you need to save a copy of the source, we just zip it up. Then you carry on editing for the next version and zip that up and go again.
Then when a change is required to an older version, you dig it up, amend it and zip it again.
Not sure how it works with source control. The above is easier and reliable, assuming you manage it tightly.

thanks !!The short answer is that you'll put the source clip(s) for each inset on a different video track, all stacked up. Then use the Scale and Position effects (under "Motion" on the Effect Controls panel) to reduce their size and place them where you want.
If the content of an inset will involve edited content (where you're cutting among various clips or just trimming out unwanted content from a single clip), then you'll probably find it easier to do all those edits in one sequence, then nest that sequence in the master sequence, where you apply the Scale and Positioning effects. That will save the step of applying the scale and position effects to each edited track item. -
Can we have multiple policies for the same gateway?
Hi all,
Is there a way in which we can have multiple policies for the default gateway?
When I try adding a new gateway (which is not mentioned in the installer.properties file) and have policies, there is a 404 error.
When I add another service to the same gateway, I get an error - that the service could not be added to default policy.
Help me please...
My need is as follows
Want to have multiple policies, so that each of the web-service can be attached to same. The relation needs to be one-to-many. One policy can have multiple web-services.
Thanks in advance...Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.
Only after releasing the tr you can create a new tr on the same object.
