Starting and Rebooting takes forever, and Wireless cannot connect.  Any ideas?

Bought this MBPro last Aug/Nov.
I just upgraded to Lion last week Thursday, and I am have had nothing but problems since.  My Wireless connection will not work I get an error message "connection timeout", but there is no problem with the router, my iPod connects just fine.  This was not a problem until the upgrade.
I also am now having a strange issue when I reboot or shutdown.  When coming back on, the MB takes an awfully long time to boot.  I don't have a time estimate, I could probably get one, but just for example, I folded all of my laundry before the desktop came back up.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know, otherwise I'll need to try and schedule a time to visit the Genius Bar, or talk with Apple over the phone.
Very upset,
GabeMBPro
