Starting J2EE error
Hi,
I've installed J2 SDK 1.4.1 and J2 SDKEE 1.4 on my Laptop with Windows XP Professional. I'm working on a LAN with MS Outlook.
Now i want to start J2EE (to view the J2EE tutorial examples), but i'm getting the error and I've tried to solve the problem, so J2EE starts, but all my efforts didn't work.
Does somebody know how to solve this problem??

Change the property value of "orb.port" in the %j2ee_home%\config\server-config.xml. Try 1051 instead of 1050

I have Windows Xp & I am using JDK1.4
recently, I have installed J2sdkee 1.2.1 from CD.
To start J2ee; I wrote "start j2ee -verbose" on cmd
but it is showing an error as follows:
"Fatal error: This J2ee SDK release runs only on Java 2 (JDK 1.2 or later)"
please help me out !!!
Is there any version problem?
I want to install J2sdkee
but which version of j2sdkee I have to install if I don't want to remove JDK1.4 ?

Error while starting J2EE Engine:com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasour
I would like to ask for your help to look into the problem being encountered in starting J2EE Engine
Caused by: com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.PersistenceException: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)
At first we identified that the user EPQASCONNECT was not created in R3 QAS system, we have created this one. At the same time, we have changed the ume.r3.connection.master.passwd to reflect the password set in R3 QAS. But still it is not working.
Also, checking the trace file for server0, the rc code is -11113.
The following users SAPJSF,J2EE_GUEST and J2EE_admin were not locked.
Followed the http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/45/1bbdccc7850064e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm. link to make changes.
The problem raised after the system refresh in QAS system. License was also installed after System refresh.

ThanksYou need jsdk 1.3.1_03 or above to run j2ee 1.3.1 Any other version will give you this error.

I am trying to apply SP12 to my J2EE environment (WebAS 6.40 on WIndows 2003). I am getting the following error:

I encountered the same error when installing Java in HP-UX OS. In my case this was due to the support packs on ABAP stack. I installed ABAP and applied recent support packs as part of post-install steps and then started the Java Add-in.
I re-installed ABAP Central Instance, Database Finalization and created and performed client copy. Thereafter, started Java Add-In. This time, the Java install completed successfully without the CJS-20057 error.

Error starting J2EE after EP installation
Hi,
I'm trying to install EP 6.0 SP9 in WAS 6.40 SP9 on Linux PowerPC. WAS is an standalone instance (only JAVA part).
The installation is aborted in the J2EE Start step (the step before the latest step). After that I cannot start J2EE Engine anymore, because the process jlaunch dies suddently, and on logs this error is shown:
ERROR => JHVM_LoadJavaVM: Cannot create Java VM (rc=-6) [jhvmxx_mt.c 480]
ERROR => Cannot load Java VM (<default>) (rc=-1) [jlnchxxi_mt 591]
SigISetIgnoreAction: SIG_IGN for signal 17

What should I do?

I would suggest to check the Java VM parameters. You can look for a section "Adapt Memory Configuration for the J2EE Server" in the installation guide or the SAP notes mentioned in the guide dealing with the Java VM parameters (like 723909 and 716927).

I have installed BPEL Process Manager with Weblogic 8.1SP4.
I am using Oracle Database 9.2.0.5.0 for Oracle BPEL Process

If you are in a Solaris(TM) environment and plan to use the PointBase Server 4.2 Restricted Edition database, the J2EE(TM) Reference Implementation 1.3.1 server, the internal Java(TM) Web Services Developer Pack's (JWSDP) Tomcat 4.1 server, or the internal UDDI registry server packaged with the Sun(TM) ONE Studio, Enterprise Edition for Java(TM) software (IDE), be aware that you must have write access to the IDE directories used by these components. To ensure a writeable IDE installation, install a personal copy of the Sun ONE Studio, Enterprise Edition for Java software in your home directory and run the product from this location.
Please note that the default Solaris installation procedure causes the <s1studio-install-dir> tree to be owned by the root user. Therefore, a non-root user running the IDE will be denied write access resulting in errors when attempting to run any of these packaged servers.
To install a personal copy of the Sun ONE Studio 4, Enterprise Edition for Java, please use the following instructions.
If you have the Sun ONE Studio 4 update 1 CD, do the following:
1.Be sure you are logged on as 'yourself', not a root user.
2.Insert the CD. NOTE: If the Auto run feature is enabled, an installer wizard appears and asks for the root password. Close this wizard. Do not install this product as root user.
3.From the directory where you want the IDE installed, type /cdrom/s1studio/image/ffj_installers_ee/ffj_ee_solsparc_en.bin

I have installed Java 2 SDK, Enterprise Edition version 1.3 on Win NT server. Installation was successfull.
While starting J2EE server, I am getting following error:

JAVA_HOME - the directory where the Java 2 SDK Standard Edition is installed.
PATH - include the bin directory beneath the directory where you've installed this release.
