Starting new while loop while old one still running

Hi!
I am attempting to write video images to AVI files. I want to give the user the option to decide when they want to begin to capture the images. I place the "start recording" button in one loop and the image acquisition and AVI Write subVIs in another loop. LabVIEW won't allow me to continue on with the image acquisition loop until I finish with the "start recording" loop. Any ideas how to fix this (to allow the image acquisition to start and continue having LabVIEW check for a button press on "start recording")?

Thanks. I suspected as much. In any event, I can't seem to find a good configuration of while loops and case structures which will produce the desired results. I want to start acquiring images and allow the user to choose to start recording at any time he desires. This issue is further complicated by the fact that the status of the "Start recording" must be checked at all times, but only initialized once, while the AVI Write Frame depends on that first initialization step but must be looped continuously aferwards in order to 'keep up' with the images being acquired. In the newly attached example, I placed the case structure inside the image acquisition while loop and the avi write frame inside a while loop inside of that case structure. unfortunately,
labview decides to stay inside the avi write frame while loop after entering, instead of returning to the image acquisition while loop. i can't place the avi write frame inside the general image acquisition while loop because then labview will think i want to initialize the avi write frame right away and will return an error when avi write frame isn't provided with an avi refnum. Ideas?

  • How do I remove my personal text msgs from appearing on my new iPad.  Rec for Christmas didn't realize texts appeared on iPad, changed settings, new ones didn't appear but old ones still on it.

New iPad showing my iPhone texts, changed settings new texts stopped but old ones still appear on iPad .  It is a family iPad and don't want kids to see text from adults even g rated, glad they didn't see Christmas texts with present pictures and questions from relatives.

As far as I know, deleting the messages on the iPad should not affect them on the iPad. I delete messages on one device and it doesn't affect the messages on the other device since they are stored locally on the device. And ... I am using my iPhone number as the contact address on both devices,
You can create another ID for texting on the iPad, but it's not an absolute must. You just need to use your Apple ID email address, or any other working email address for that matter - as the contact at address on the iPad for texting. As long as you use the iPhone number on the phone and the email address on the iPad, texting paths shall never cross.
this should be of some help.

I got a new Macbook pro in March and transferred all of my old files into the new macbook from my old one. But ever since then, my iPhoto just does not open up. It says 'error' every time I try to open it, but I am still able to attach the iPhotos saved to emails. Help! How do I get my iPhoto back?

    Thanks, Sig.
The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem.  Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page.  Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

  • I had an iPhone 4 and recently upgraded to iphone5 now iCloud will not back up new phone.  Under iCloud it shows 2 iPhones and my iPad. Is it trying to write new phone over the old one?  What should I do?  I a, afraid I might lose everything messing with

I see.  If you go to Settings>General>About>Name, that is the current name of your phone.  The backup bearing that name should be the more recent one, and therefore the one you want to keep.  I would delete the other one (presumably the one set up by Best Buy under your real name, assuming you changed it later), then see if that gives you enough space to back up again.
If it still reporting insufficient storage, use this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4847 to try to determine what's taking up all your room.  In them meantime, you can perform a manual backup on your computer so your have a current one while you're troubleshooting this.  To do so, connect your phone to iTunes, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left side and select Back Up.

  • I had to buy a new laptop after my old one died, after authorising my new one nearly my whole library has disappeared. How do I get all my songs back?

I had to buy a new laptop after my old one died, after authorizing my new one nearly my whole library has disappeared. How do I get all my songs back?

Likely, because you are now using a different Apple ID and iTunes account. Return to using your old Apple ID and authorize only after you have de-authorized your old computer.
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.

  • How do I transfer all my data and applications to my new iPad from my old one ?

How do I transfer all my data and applications to my new iPad from my old one ?

This may also be useful.  Although backing up and restoring via iCloud works, doing it via iTunes may be better, and here's why:
Via iCloud your actual apps are not backed up, just a record of the fact that you legally own them.  When you restore, your new device knows it's OK to download and install them again from the App Store.  This is fine for all apps that are still available, but for those that have been removed from the App Store you're going to be without them.
It is also a lot faster to transfer a ton of apps from iTunes via the cable than to download them all over wifi.
Another advantage of doing it via iTunes is that all your network/wifi settings and passwords will be included in the backup/restore process.  (Make sure you have selected "encrypted backup" for this to happen.)  This way you will not need to mess around typing them all in again.
I've tried both methods and would definitely recommend going "old school" via iTunes for these reasons.  Hope this helps.

  • Changed my Apple ID email, but ICloud does not recognize my new login, only my old one (which is now non-existent) HELP!

Changed my Apple ID email, but ICloud does not recognize my new login, only my old one (which is now non-existent) and requires the password to do anything. Everytime I go onto the ICloud  page it shows my old email and requires the password, but I can't exactly type in a password because that won't work. I can't find a way to change my email or delete ICloud.

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

  • Hi I recently destroyed my iPhone 4 before replacing it I backed it up through iTunes... I restored my new phone from my old one's back up but not one single picture was copied.. Did I lose all my pictures or is there a simple solution???

Hi I recently destroyed my iPhone 4, before replacing it I backed it up through iTunes... I restored my new phone from my old one's backup but not one single picture was copied.. Did I lose all my pictures or are they just hiding on my com?? is there a simple solution??? I thought I was doing everything right by backing up my old one first... now Im scared I lost everything including a lot of very important pictures.. PLEASE HELP!!

    Restore from the backup!
You password: You have set it! It might be your passcode or you mioght have set it accidentally, so test all of the passwords you normally use. If you cannot get the password you backup is lost, but you can still sync your iTunes content.

  • I recently bought a new laptop because my old one crashed.  The only backup I had for my music was on my ipod.  My new computer will not recognize the ipods music and I can't transfer anything.  What do I do???

I recently bought a new laptop because my old one crashed.  The only backup I had for my music was on my ipod.  My new computer will not recognize the ipods music and I can't transfer anything.  It keeps asking me to sync the ipod to this computer, but I'm scared to lose all my music.  I want to transfer some of the music onto my iphone but I can't.  I'm very frustrated and wish I knew more about computers at the moment!?!?  What do I do???

You will need the help of some sort of 3rd party software to help you copy the content from your Shuffle back to your PC.  Once you have done that, you can reimport this music into iTunes and configure it to sync to your new Shuffle.

  • Have changed Apple ID this morning but old one still showing on Apple store. How do I change it?

Have changed apple ID this morning but old one still showing on apple store
    how do I change it

the appleID is the connection between the device and icloud and what apps and media itunes store see that you own
if you change appleID you start from scratch
settings->store->appleID is where you remove what appleID your ios device see as yours

  • So, i changed my apple password. And now when i log into my iMessage it won't allow my new password, or my old one. How do i figure this out?

Can someone help me with my imessage. I changed my password and now it's not allowing my new password, or my old one.

Did you purchase Apple Care? If you did, you still have access to Apple Support.  If not, go to your Apple Store and let them help you get it set up correctly.  I'm sure it's something simple we're missing.  Good Luck.
Do remember one thing.  iMessage on iPad only works with other iOS devices.  This means you can only text to people who:
    1.  Have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
    2.  And they have upgraded to iOS 5 or higher

  • I changed my Apple ID via my computer but the old one still shows up on my phone.

I changed my Apple ID (email address) on the Apple web site but the old one still shows up on my phone so the password does not work.

You need to log out of you account on your phone and delete your iCloud account from the phone, then add the new one back. See: Change your Apple ID

  • Reset my apple ID but old one still shows on screen.  How can I update my apps now?

I reset my apple ID and password but old one still shows on screen.  How can I update my apps now?

    Hi jbrunner,
Did you create a new Apple ID, or simply update the old one?
If you simply updated the old one, then you need to go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, click on the Apple ID, and sign out. Then sign back in with your new ID. Also, you want to go to Settings>iCloud and scroll down to the bottom and delete the iCloud account and sign back onto it with your new Apple ID as well.
If you created a new Apple ID, then there are other considerations. Post back if that is the case.
    Cheers,

  • I ordered a battery for my laptop because it said to replace battery soon.  How long can I let the new battery sit around as I wait for the old one to run out of more charge?

I ordered a battery for my laptop because it said to replace battery soon.  How long can I let the new battery sit around as I wait for the old one to run out of more charge?  Will the new one become less effective if it sits around too long?

How much capacity is remaining on your current battery?
    Check your power status
From the  menu: Hold OPTION and click System Information... èHardware è Power
Copy and Paste in your reply.
The new battery will become less effective if you store it in a hot or humid environment. It should be stored at room temperature (22 C).
    Long term storage (6 months):
Apple recommends that you store the battery with a 50% charge. If you store a battery when it’s fully discharged, it could fall into a deep discharge state, which renders it incapable of holding any charge. Conversely, if you store it fully charged for an extended period of time, the battery may experience some loss of battery capacity, meaning it will have a shorter life.
