Starting Photoshop 2014 CC from Desktop and start menu states ExtendScript.dll error

I purchased Adobe CC for Student this morning and when I go to launch Photoshop 2014 CC from start menu/desktop it states:
"This Program can't start because ExtendScript.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
If however I try to launch from the directory of the installation or the task bar it launches with non of the errors stated above I will also state that
when I go to search the directory for the .dll file its there, is there a fix for this or will I have to install this completely.

Mac or Windows?
Did you run the 15.1 update from Help > updates or from the CC Desktop Application?
Try installing that, if still fails, might need to uninstall, and reinstall.

I'm a God-gifted artist but only started using Photoshop CC, then updated to 2014--which, again, I like even better--when I began my monthly membership January or February 2014, although I had paid version 2002 and updated to paid version 2004 (ownership, not paid subscription like now). I've learned so much, including transforming, moving, stretching, with layers--all in the painting area with my illustrations--a little touch ups with photography. Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

If you're on Lion, it just reopened apps that where open when you shut it down.

do you have a white box inside the outer box and containing the disc sleeve/disc? In my case, it was on the white box. For Photoshop elements it is all numeric and starts with 1057.

I have Lightroom 3.6 and the operating system is Windows 7 Home. My problem is that LR disappear from desktop and startmenu after a couple of weeks. I need to repare the installation again.

This is not Lr's doing but something Windows does.
First of all, when the icon disappears from your desktop you don't have to repair the installation. The icon on the desktop is only a shortcut and its disappearance does not mean that the corresponding program needs to be re-installed.
When an icon for a program, in this example for Lr disappears from your desktop simply go to >Start >All Programs and find Lr in the list and double-click it. Lr will then start.
If you right-click the program on the list, a fly-out menu will appear; hover over <Send to> and there will appear several options, one of them is "Desktop (create shortcut)". Select this and you will re-create the icon on the desktop.
The reason why your icon disappears is probably due to a feature in Windows: Have you noticed on your desktop a message appearing that says "There are unused icons on your desktop ...?" When this message appears click <Cancel> because if you don't, icons will disappear. In fact the message will appear twice, and you have to click on <Cancel> each time. It's a stupid feature of Windows.

My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 prompted me of a new itunes update this morning, so i downloaded it. Since then itunes has been starting up randomly on its own, and starts playing the first song on the list. I quit itunes, and it keeps reopening.

I pause the song, and it resumes it on its own again. I'm not joking. So, I end up quiting out of itunes; but, it starts right back up again on its own. After quiting out of the app a few times, it eventually stops reopening; however, about an hour later (or less) it opens again. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP? I'm just about to delete itunes, because I've had enough of this crap. I hope someone can help. I've restarted the laptop, and it seemed like that fixed it, then itunes started up doing the same thing again an hour later. ituneshelper is unchecked; bluetooth is off; i only have speakers and a mouse plugged in (also charger).

NO iPhoto Library showing in Desktop and Screensaver Menu in SL

Hi experts,
I have experienced a problem after I updated to SL last night.
I made a fresh install of both SL and iLife 09 on my mbp unibody late 2008.
Afterwards, I replaced the my fresh iphoto library simply with my old iphoto 09 library from time machine (no migration tool, only copy pasts).
But now I recognized a problem that I see no iphoto library in my Desktop and Screensaver Menu in control panel. I cant set iphoto library photos as screensaver cause I cant see them
Does anyone have a solution for it? or does anybody face the same issue?

I have the same thing. I wiped everything clean and installed Snow Leopard/iLife '09/etc. I run my iPhoto lib from an Airdisk and I just set iPhoto to point to that same library on the wireless disk. Everything works fine, except I can't set iPhoto pics as my desktop. I see a label for iPhoto (just like when it used to work) except there's no arrow by it and it's empty. If I plug the computer straight into the disk and use the same library, it works fine. Any thoughts?

bitlocker encrypts your drive making it difficult to run programs that require constant access to your drive--it should be 'off'--however--just turning it off won't solve the problem. You need to turn it off and decrypt the drive

OS 10.4.1 Start Up disk missing from desktop

Is it my imagination or do Macs these days have a proliferation of oddities occurring when you least expect it.
Anyway, my problem is that I booted up my Intel 2.66 dual this morning, it started up fine, system running, apps all there etc. But then I noticed the hard disk icon for my Start Up disk was missing from the desktop.
Its there, its mounted, its running the system, all my apps work but you can't see it to double click on it on the desktop and when you go into a finder window its not listed in the drives available.
Its mounted, its verified, its seemingly all okay but its just not visible on the desktop or in the finder window.
I can get to it by opening a finder window from one of the two other disks attached to the machine and then searching for something on that disk - ping - the file is returned in the finder window with the directory showing the Macintosh HD as its root. I can then select that in that finder window and it opens up the window for the disc.
Any clues as to why this might have happened and more importantly how I can get it back.

Oh yeah - just updated it ! The 2.66 dual replaced my G5 Quad which died on me recently. I must say i've been pleased with it so far. I produce CGI work for architectural projects so speed is of the essence. Needs the ram though (possibly not the 8 gig I've got but that's so i can run four renering apps at once with 1.5 gig assigned to each - which incidentally works a treat). When i first got the machine it came with 1 Gig of ram and it was horribly slow, now it flies. Ideally I'd have got a 3 ghz machine but had to buy this off the shop floor in the local Apple dealer (Cardiff) and it was the only one they had.
So on balance I think its a pretty good machine. I've had a few glitches with it but that's down to early release UB software rather than the hardware.
