Starting PS - CS6 Extended

I need to key in the licences code ever time I try to start the application.
Environment: MacBook Pro - OSX 10.8.?

That's pretty much the same as what others are seeing.
Those with "Perpetual" licenses who have received 13.0.2 or 13.0.3 updates are seeing problems where Photoshop "forgets" their activation status.
Those with "Creative Cloud" licenses who have received 13.1.0 or 13.1.1 updates are seeing the same problems.
It's a bug that has been introduced or triggered by the new versions. Adobe has broken their own software activation process. Most folks report that they can just go ahead and use Photoshop anyway, ignoring the dialog that states they are running trial software.
Adobe have acknowledged they know the problem exists and claim to be working on a fix. I assume this fix will be delivered in the form of even more updates (e.g., 13.0.4 and 13.1.2) in the coming weeks.

Cannot start Photoshop CS6 Extended after second installation

I have just installed a second copy (which I understand is allowable) of Photoshop CS6 Extended on my home computer in a windows 8 environment. I have previously installed on Win 7 and that works ok. However the new installation in Win 8 gives me the following error:
Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another programs is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in Windows Explorer to unlock the file.
Can anyone advise what I should do

Do as it says - fix your file/ user permissions on your harddrive.

Bridge still not starting in CS6 (extended)

Same issue; bridge will not start. As of this date, this is the second install of CS6. The first was a download and the second was from a disk. Bridge will not start ! I had Ps v 7 on here and that was removed as was the download copy. The problem is still here?!?

If you happen to be on a Mac running Mountain Poop (10.8.x) try re-installing the OS after you have installed CS6.
There have been reports that installing CS6 messes with some Mountain Poop files.

Photoshop does not start, instead, only annoys with CS6 Extended Test Version

Hello all,
since today, after a correct start, when starting Photoshop CS6 (Windows), only a dialog stating "Login for CS6 Extended Test Version" (or similar, as the text is in German). Afterwards, Photoshop simply exits. How do I get rid of this and make PS start as usual, as I do not want to test the extended version.

Thank you for this information. I do not use Creative Cloud and just purchased Photoshop CS6 for my laptop. When I install Application Manager as suggested in the link, I get a Creative Cloud icon that -- when clicked -- asks me to enter my Adobe ID. I deliberately do not want to use Creative Cloud, just continue using CS6 on my laptop.
As the startup screen insists on entering my Adobe ID, I did. And now Photoshop starts as Extended in test mode and does not allow me to (Help ->) Deactivate.
How do I get rid of this Extended test license (I do not need the "Extended" features) and return to my original one computer CS6 license without having to use Creative Cloud.

Photoshop CS6 Extended starts instead of Photoshop CS6

I have a licenced copy of Photoshop CS6 in my Windows 7 computer. Today, when I start CS6, CS6 Extended starts instead, in trial mode. Control Panel Install/deinstall shows I have CS6 installed. I don't want to deinstall because I can't get into CS6 to deactivate it. Maybe I have to wipe the PC and return to a recent full backup, but is this my only alternative?

Adobe Bridge will not open (with CS6 Extended)

I Installed a student version of CS6 Extended a couple weeks ago and I have used Bridge with it a few times but all of a sudden it wont open. Photoshop opens perfect but bridge doesnt even come up with any error messages...just nothing. Can any one help me? Please? Thank you

Try resetting preferences. Hold down Crtl key (option on mac) and start Bridge. Should get a reset window.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error.

When starting Photoshop CS6 I get this error message, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error (-- OK --). This happens on the main screen immediately. Once I click OK the program seems to be alright. But some part of it, that I haven't discovered yet, may not function properly.
I am running Windows7 Professional Service Pack 1 64 bit with Intel i7-4770k CPU and 16 GIG Ram.
This problem just started recently, everything has been fine up till now. I must have done something when trying to defragment the Registry or get rid of temp files.
I have uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it with no effect. I have tried to run Photoshop CS6 32 bit in Safe Mode, but it will not run. It hangs up on Reading Memory.
Is there any kind log file that would tell me what is causing this to occur?
Does anyone know what might cause this?

Did you reset your Preferences and Photoshop tools. Photoshop Preferences are not removed with an un-install and an Install does not install preferences. Preferences are created for a user id when a user ID start Photoshop and there are no preferences for the user ID.

Adobe Cloud and CS6 extended trial.

I bought CS6 recently and it is registered in my name. For some reason I found myself on a trial of Adobe Cloud and CS6 extended which I do not want. The trial has finished but when I try quitting it, it will not allow me to use my CS6. How do I get round this problem?

Everything looked normal with your account but it didn't appear you had completed the 30 day license check.
My recommendation would be
- Launch Adobe Application Manager from either the Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac) and install all available product updates.
- Once this is complete launch whatever product was showing up as a trial and click the "License this software" and sign in with your Adobe ID.
If the next time you launch the product it is still coming up as a trial, you might try creating a new administrator account and going through the "License this software" process again

The 3D Features doesn't work on my Photoshop CS6 extended.

I am using Adobe CS6 extended. I can't use my 3d features on creating objects but it can work with creating 3d font text.
When I select the object, the 3D Properties are unable to click on any function

Adobe tested the following video cards before the release of Photoshop CS6. This document lists the video card by series. The minimum amount of RAM supported on video cards for Photoshop CS6 is 256 MB. Photoshop 13.1 cannot display 3D features if you have less than 512 MB of VRAM on your video card.

How to Force Enable 3D Menu Contents in PhotoShop CS6 Extended

Hello I have a weird problem with photoshop cs6 extended
I bought my new laptop HP Pavilion dv6 6170ee which has 2 graphics card 1 is the intel one and the other is the AMD one ( High Performance )
As you can see from the screen shot above my drivers are installed and updated anyway the 3D option in CS6 was working good and it's content was enabled and ready to use , but suddeny after restarting my pc I started cs6 and found out that the contents at 3D Menu is disabled I went for my AMD graphics card control center and made sure that photoshop is running on the ( High Performance ) GPU and here is the screen shot that proffs it
and then I opened photoshop again , choosen Edit , Performace and found that it's still using the Intel Grapics Card ? here is the screen shot
and I have done all what i can do to make the 3D menu content enabled again system restore ( failed ) , Reinstalling windows + Drivers + stuff again ( same problem happpend again after restarting my computer ) and also trying resseting my gpu settings to factory default settings ) all of these was fail , please is there a way to force start photo shop like command line ..etc .

Can I legally use for commercial purposes the Photoshop CS6 Extended Student Version or do I have to get the Photoshop CS6 Extended normal (commercial) version? I want to make a game and I'll use things created in Photoshop, like images. And I'll sell this game, so I'll get money with it: it's something commercial. Do I have to get the commercial version for that or can I use a Student's one?
And can I make what I need to do in a trial version and then pay the license before selling the game or it's obligatory to have the license since the beggining?

You can start work on your game from the moment you download and complete the installation of the Trial version.
No-one will be standing over you watching what you do or monitoring you remotely or noting when you pay for the software.
You can buy the software at any time during the Trial period. However, after a maximum 30 days of using the Trial, you will have to pay to keep using the software.
Other than that, do what you like with the Trial.
(If you somehow finish the game after 20 days of using the Trial then you can start selling the game even if you have not yet purchased the software.)

How do I get the trial version for Photoshop CS6 extended from the Creative Cloud Trial

Plz I wanted to downlad the trial version of Photoshop CS6 Extended and I followed this link

Then I chose this option : Option 2: Join Creative Cloud and download now (Recommended - it's free)
Then the adobe application manager has been installed and the photoshop CS6 started to be installed automaticaaly and after it done , I found it the standard version not the Extended ... So how and where can I get the Extended version for both 32 bit and 64 bit?

So if you download the trial from the trial page at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop you get Photoshop CS6 Extended. When you then remove the trial and reinstall from the Adobe Application Manager with your trial Creative Cloud you only see the Standard version?
If this is so you can try reviewing your installation logs by following the steps listed in Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html. Although your 30 day trial has already begun. I would recommend for now you just remove the installation and install from the trial page so that you can try the extended features.

hi, i started using photoshop cs6 extended yesterday. i have no problem on tools but i have problem on saving my files in photoshop cs6 extended. i've tried to save my files like being shown in tutorials but when i click on the 'save' or 'save as' button, nothing appear on my screen. i've searching the tutorials on youtube but i didn't find the solution to my problem.please, do help me.
