Starting suddenly 3 days ago, thunderbird does not want to pick up emails that I can see in gmail
I turned on my computer and opened Thunderbird email in the morning. Rather than the usual bunch of new emails only the few active emails that I had left the night before showed up. I checked later in the day and still no new emails.
I went directly into gmail and found lots of new emails. I went back to Thunderbird and requested new emails. None showed up. I closed and then reopened Thunderbird. Still no emails. Later I asked for new emails again and they appeared.
This issue began around the time that some new updated version of Thunderbird occurred. With the new "option" that appeared from Thunderbird each time that I clicked on a new email. Once I selected to received each new email the "option" no longer appeared.
Help? I really hate gmail email protocols and really love Thunderbird email operations - but I have to receive them ...

I have a computer with itunes on it. Worked fine until i tried to switch users and have the music shared, that feature used to work great. Doesn't share, although sharing is turned on, and works well except if you wanna change preferences it freezes. Upon closing there are up to 7 distinct hangtime codes. Apple doesnt recognize these codes - and have not replied to other questions concerning similar problems. Any help or ideas would be welcome. Removing my library or preferences did nothing, so I am reinstalling all this crap. Please help! I just want to be able to see my preferences.You are not addressing Apple here.

I am able to connect to my Mac Mini on Back to My Mac through iCloud but the keyboard/trackpad on the MBAir or MBP with which I access does not register on the Mini. So I can see the screen but cannot interact with it. Mini works accessing MBP/Air and I can use Mini to input data or interact with screens of those computers.
Regarding your first question about bookmarks, I think you discovered the answer in when you pressed the address bar. The second tab there has your bookmarks.
As for the keyboard, I'm not sure why your Firefox is reacting so slowly; mine seems to show keyboards even when I don't want them. If you have accumulated a lot of history, perhaps that's an issue?
Did you use any third party software to move your Firefox data from internal memory to the storage card? -

I found a webpage where a user reported the same issue as me.
He said he determined that "foreign pictures" -- meaning any pictures not taken using the iPhone's camera -- were the cause. Once he deleted the "foreign pictures" -- such as pictures obtained from receiving texts from others which included pictures that he saved onto the iPhone, then iTunes worked.
In my case, the fix was to upgrade the iPhone's OS from 5.1.1 to the latest version.
Now, both issues are solved:
Windows recognizes the iPhone as a storage device.
iTunes can see pictures that I've saved on the iPhone. -

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I have been using iTunes for over 10 years, and I have NEVER had this problem occur (repeatedly, all day long, every day). I have seen this error occur on occassion, but not consistently as it has been for the last 10 days. This is really getting me frustrated and quite upset, as there does not seem to be any reason for this error to be occurring. My internet connection is active (or I would not be able to list this here). I have gone through ALL of the troubleshooting topics, and nothing has worked to correct this problem.
I have uninstalled iTunes completely (as well as ALL supporting software, etc.) and reinstalled the program at least 10 times over the past 10 days. NOTHING IS WORKING as far as getting iTunes to "contact (or connect to) the radio tuning service".
Does anyone know what is causing this problem? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Please respond to me privately at [email protected]
Thank you.It has not been working for me on any platform, any OS, anwhere since about last Friday. It has been reported many many times on this forum so I can only assume it's a known issue that will be fixed in time.
Interestingly some genres work, for instance Classical and Blues work but most others don't. I thought it was Apple's attempt to force some taste upon us but then I noticed sports radio works too. So much for that idea.
Also, if you have the playlist saved somewhere that still works too. It's only the "radio tuning service" that's borked.
By the way it's not a good idea to post your email address here, Apple Support Communities is secure from spambots but why tempt fate. -

To assure that your first backup is over Ethernet I'd turn off AirPort until it's done. Check the order in the Network panel of System Preferences. I'd move the Ethernet connection item to the top of the list.
In other words, does the initial setup of the TC from my mini happen wirelessly or over Ethernet?

Last August I bought Iphone 4S and i am currently in another country for the summer and I wont be back until september which meqns my 1 year waranty is over and my Iphone is expreincing problems with speker sound and it wont charge with laptop. I am afraid that if I go to a local apple store they wont accept the Iphone due to the waranty. So what can I do? please help and thank you.Does the iPhone charge when connected to the power adaptor?
Are you connecting the iPhone direct to a USB port on the computer - not being connected to a USB hub of any kind?
The local Apple Store can and will run a hardware diagnostic on the iPhone to determine if this is caused by a hardware problem at no charge regardless if the iPhone is no longer under warranty and purchased in another country. -

Hello.
To try and resolve this issue, please unplug the power from the unit for about 25-30 minutes. Once this time frame has passed, plug the unit in directly to a wall outlet to see if the printer will power on.

In the last 2 days my Ipad does not want to connect to the internet via my home wifi's i have not done anything different so cany understand why this is happeniong. it just wont connect. Its a good job i have my 3g connection otherwise it would be worthless. i have tried resetting my wifi connections on my pad and unplugging the modem and resetting that. nothing is working. i have read several forums about this and seems to be an issue with a lot of ipads, i have read what you can do, however i dont think i should have to reset this, reset that, change this and change that when clearly its an apple issue.
can someone provide me with any simple way of fixing this issue. or can apple spend a little bit of their millions of dollars of profit to fix this little proble.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

My CQ61-313US Notebook does not want to start up sometimes.
My notebook all of a sudden does not want to boot up properly. When I turn it on the power light comes on, the wireless icon stays red, and two lights flash on and off. One is located next to the caps lock button and the other is located above the end and page up buttons. I take out the battery and unplug the power cord, then hold down the power button for up to 30 seconds. Then I plug the power cord back in and try to restart it. I do this over and over again and if I get lucky it will boot up. What do you think is the problem here? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
