Starting the new editor results in short dump

Hi gurus,
When I switch to the new ABAP editor in Nteweaver 7.0 I get a short dump when opening an ABAP source.
The message says:
message_type_x
Does anybody know what the problem is?
We are working with SAPGUI 6.40 patch 16.
Working in the old frontend editor works fine by the way.

perhaps it's a problem with the SAP GUI version. I think there's already a newer one available.
I would try to create a message in the SAP GUI forum:

i am not sure whether it was there in patch 8, but i upgraded to patch14 and activated the new editor from
se38->utilities->settings->ABAP editor
here choose radiobutton front-end Editor (New)
warning:- dont apply gui patch 15 it has got some problem. when i applied patch 15 i couldnt event start the sap logon pad.

Regular Expressions in the new editor

Hi,
we just ubgraded to SAP GUI 6.40 and ERP 2005, when i hit ctrl-h the search and replace dialog is popping up in the new editor. But the checkbox "regular expression" is greyed out and cant be activated. Why?

Hi, I can only confirm that. The help indicates that it should work, but on the screencaps, it's grayed out too.
Besides that,
Open completion automatically after is not implemented yet (is mentioned in the help).
There are also problems with the incremental search backwards. It works only once.

Thanls Ernie. I found the solution. My problem was previous to 10.10.3. It looks like the installation of final cut and uninstallation of fcp delte a plugins that was needed for Aperture. I recover from time machine my plugins in Library/frameworks/plugin.manager.framework and now Aperture works ! Ouf....

Typically, when someone replaces an iPhone with a newer model and uses the same telephone number, the old iPhone's telephone connection is disabled, but the iPhone still works (nuch like an iPod Touch). Is that your situation?

I just bought the new ipad 21.05.2012. yesterday, worst to worst, i cannot used my new ipad because after i tap the button cancel 2 times, the new i pad just hanging there with the box Enter the password for the CalDAV account "Yahoo!". It doesn't moved and I hate it so much.

Most likely your yahoo password setup in your mail account is wrong. When you wake your ipad it checks for mail right away(even though it has when it sleeps). Your password or something with your Yahoo mail is wrong.
Assuming caldav is your yahoo name. If its not a yahoo email, you have email setup wrong. Its your email.

Are there any plans to add back missing functions in the new editor?

For Example, I don't seem to be able to set a link to open in a new window without editing html.
I also can't left or right align images without editing CSS, scripting, or opening up html view and adding an inline style.
These are just two of the small things I've come across recently - I'm sure there are more too.

The answer is yes of course.
For images - Modern work - Left right align not that good. Your better creating classes to float the images and have those in your dropdown. You get better results as well.
You can go into your partner portal and customise the editor - Turning off the inline font stuff for example is a 100% must for us to avoid issues and the SEO implications those give.
I would highly recommend doing a .image-left and .image-right class dropdown options and in the CSS for those float:left etc with margin around the image... Heaps better output and clean markup.

Only the individual that set the restrictions passcode knows what it is.

I use Firefox and Windows 7, when I'm using my main account on computer it starts old version of firefox and when I use the guest account it start the new version. Why and how to fix it?

Guy that repairs my computer asked me if i saved new firefox just on guest account, but i didn't, i re-installed it again and again.

Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

Is there an easy way to start the new year with an empty mailbox?

I would like to move my 10,000 emails to another folder or mailbox to still be able to search if I need some info... but I would rather not use any space on my macbook pro? I tried to set up a new folder but that will reside on my computer. My new years resolution is to deal with my email on a daily basis and move, file or delete it as I go this year... but I need to start fresh! Thanks for help!

Starting the new multiple point Warp stabilizer

I do aerial photography with a large rc helicopter. Camera movement is hard to get rid of. I am looking forward to the upgraded Warp stabilizer "VFX" to help with that. I have been using the Warp in AE and motion tracking. I just don't know how to launch the multi point program in AE cloud.

Your thoughts on the new ABAP editor

I am interested to know other people's opinions on the new ABAP Editor and Debugger. I just started to use the new editor and I am kind of dissapointed:
- the code completion feature is a far cry from the Java editor. It shows only one element in the code completion list based on a strange rule (I think it is first in the alphabetical order, and then based on the previously selected item)
- it does not provide code completion for types
- the code completion stays on for a short period of time, after that it dissapears. Is there a key combination that can launch the code completion on demand?

With the new Editor, you can launch the code completion with the combination "Ctrl + Space".
