Starting to get really fed

i own a 30gb zen vision :M and it was working fine until my last pc broke, i since bought a new pc and re-installed everything, now my zen will not connect to my pc at all, i've tried EVERYTHING that the creative team have suggested and nothing is working, i've tried on two other pc's and still nothing. does ANYBODY have any suggestions on how to either (a) get my money back (b) get a brand new player, or (c) get the bloody thing to work again? its currently a ?250 paperweight?

Scroll to the very bottom.

Your account name is on the top of the store, usually at the top right. Your account balance is listed next to your name.
You will only see a balance if you have money left from gift card or if you use an iTunes allowance.

As stated above - I am having a really big problem with the iTunes 10.6 installer.
First tells me 2 DLL files are missing and then that a program needed for the install isn't there.
I never had a problem withiTunes last year when I had an iPad.
I deleted the iTunes from then because I found the iPad to heavy - I have very severe arthritis
in my wrists. I might as well send my iPhone back to the retailer I got it from if this issue can't be solved.
I'm using Windows XP Pro with SP3 so it should work.
Please can someone help?

Perhaps Bob will see this thread, he is the professor in these cases.
You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect.

Presuming you are using a wall charger - it would seem that your battery needs to be looked at in an Apple store

Unfortunately it looks like your 3GS' battery has expanded so much that it cracked the whole case wide open. If you have AppleCare on your device then you're all set, just take it to your local Apple Store.
If not, then still take it to the store. Complain about the battery bursting, and make sure to tell them that it's for sure a defect (you'd think it's obvious, but sometimes you just need to drive the point in), and that it potentially could have been and still be a hazard.
Remind them that the phone has not been in any adverse conditions, extreme temperatures, or abused in any way but that you just merely used it normally. (I'm assuming that's the truth?)
If they're good about it they should replace the broken phone for you; but unfortunately there's little chance of repairing your current device.

HELP!!! I am getting really fed up with things that dont work.

I am asking why a year ago i wasted money on Prem elements 8 only to have it not do the same as prem 2 did not do.
Neither will see my cameras a canon 650i & sony hc320i which were visible on Win 98 with prem elements 2, i now have win7 loaded Pe2 on both my new laptop & my 2 year old HP desktop the HP crashes if i try to go to DVD burn the Toshiba Laptop just does not see camera or DVD burners.
PE 8 i thought would be a solution after all its up to date but i hate it as a package oh and guess what it wont see camera or burner so great i wasted my £100+ on something thats horrid to use & wont work. Bring back PE 2 but how do i make it work on both PC,s.
Pe2 has always been a problem but worked with a lot of messing but now i can only download onto it from DVD then edit slowly ie 15 minutes for every tag on the timeline but having done this it will not see a burner.
Im not a techy but was told to re load Roxy or Nero missing out bits, i cant see either on my pc,s anyway & dont have the programs to load. the burner works with other programs so my guess is that Adobe just dont add the bits that do the job.
Well as you can guess i am fed up haveing spent money on something that does not do what it said on th box it just rubbish to expect a mere mortal to play around with a pc.

Hi in reply to this both cameras are dv video cameras the sony being 3 years old & great the Caon is 5 years old having been bought for the athens olympics. Operating system as stated is win7 that does see the cameras on my lap top. i dont know what other facts you need.
I have contacted Adobe at least 3 times since buying Adobe PE8 the last time pointing out very unhappily that customer service is about replying to emails. The customer service contact is the one with the original packing. i have to say this is getting me no where. I want it to work when loaded its on a new PC where nothing has been added as one of your colleagues has there is no'downloaded trash' the only programs on it are those that came with it plus PE8.
Life & PC's are supposed to be fun this is not. when i have the time to wait for elements to talk to the net 7 crash again i will ask for more help either Windows 7 is rubbish or the link to adobe. sad really

Your Canon 650i is a still camera. You should be able to download the photos from it using either Photoshop Elements or the Premiere Elements Media Downloader. The video, per the FAQs to the right of our forum, will likely need to be converted before you can edit it in Premiere Elements.
I could not find any specs on a camera called the Sony HC320i, so I have no idea if this is a still camera, a tape-based or hard drive based camcorder or even an AVCHD unit.
Beyond that, you really haven't given us nearly enough information to help you out. If you're unhappy with the software, you can certainly contact Adobe by clicking the Contact button at the top of this page.
Meantime, does Windows recognize a connection to these cameras/camcorders when you plug them into your USB or FireWire port? If not, the issue is with your system. Not the program. Without knowing what operating system you're using, it's hard to advise you beyond that.
Meantime, have you gone to Premiere Elements Help menu and selected Check for Updates to get the 8.01 patch?
Have you gone to Windows Update and manually downloaded the non-critical updates to ensure your system is completely up to date?
Again, if you're as frustrated as you are, I'm surprised that in the past year you have not contacted Adobe. At the very least, you could have asked for a refund within the first month or so.

ok, i'm starting to get agitated with this.
i cannot install windows XP, 2003, OR Longhorn on my machine.
right now, i have the following setup:
msi 865pe neo2 motherboard
intel p4 3.2ghz w/HT (factory HS/Fan currently)
1 dimm of PC3200 crucial DDR400
30GB maxtor HD plugged into primary IDE
pioneer dvd/cd drive as sencondary IDE
alps 3.5" floppy drive
antec true blue 480wt PSU
i do the following:
format with maxtor cd

start setup, reboot, continue
the farthest i can get is 'registering components/completing installation' i either get a blue screen stop error which isnt the same everytime, or it just locks up and doesnt do anything.
ran the memtest checker and get errors on test #4
i had a DIMM of kingston that gave the same errors, so i RMA'd it and got another. same errors, so i RMA'd again and got a Crucial stick. same errors.
so i RMA'd the motherboard since i figured it had to be that. and it improved from the problems i had earlier. (the problems i had before were worse before.)

thanks for the info about ram timings as well. i havnt gotten any solid answers about what to set it to.
even with new mobo and ram, i'm getting errors in memtest86 #4 test as i always have. i've tried different slots with same problems.
i only have one module because i dont want to waste anymore money on a non-working system. once i get it up and running i'll add another 512.

My macbook pro starts to get really hot and starts to really lag

I have been having my mac book pro for about two, three months and when i start using it, it starts to heat up and starts to lag. My friends been having a regular macbook for about a year and its actually cooler and faster than my mac book pro. Is there anybody that can help to solve this problem?

first remove the battery and power adapter connection, and hold down the power button for about 5-6sec, and but back only battery and when you turn on again hold the power button for about 5-6sec, and also i suggest you to dont use in on your lap, and beds, this cause the issue of heating, if still does not works then i would suggest you to take this system to Apple Authorised Service Center, and you ask them to re reseate the logic board with heat sink paste.
after collecting from them keep under observation for atleast 2-3days, once again don't use in on your lap, and beds.

Starting to get very fed up...

I've been having problems listening to music on Spotify. I've picked over a thousand songs I can listen to at work: but I hear about 200 of them, consistently. Here are some of the "workarounds" other users have mentioned, and I've tried:1) Sort out the "master" list into 5 days, so that there are only about 200/day to choose from. This works on a weekly basis, but then it picks the same songs the next time I play that list, so I'm still hearing the same songs over and over again. Just now I don't hear them every day of the week, I hear them on the same day of the week. 2) Copy and paste my list out into a text-line randomizer and put them back into spotify. This was possibly the workaround that might have worked, but when I paste the list into spotify, it sorts by column and redistributes my music. How can I paste it in and tell spotify not to sort by ANY column at all? I've tried track name as well as date added, and the playlist looks like it's sorted exactly the same even though I've randomized it a few times. If we can fix the 2nd workaround to not sort column names, that would be great. Otherwise, I'm going to have to choose someone else for my music provider. I spent a lot of time getting songs that I enjoyed that would not offend customers or coworkers who stepped into my office, and you would have wasted all that time. The idea behind spotify was supposed to be unlimited music. I feel very limited here.

Two solutions.
* Either, paste your Randomized list into a NewPlaylist-- so that all the "sort columns" are turned off.
* Or-- before you Paste, look for the column that has the "sort triangle"-- pointed either up or down; Click that "sort triangle" until it goes away; then paste your Randomized list into the blank playlist that has all the "sort triangles" turned off. If you click a ColumnHeader when the "sort triangles" are all turned off, first the "sort triangle" will point up; if you click that "sort triangle", it will then point down; if you click that "sort triangle" again, the "sort triangle" will turn off.
You want to paste your Randomized list into an empty playlist that has all of the "sort triangles" turned off.

Ok well it seems that alot of the time when i connect my new 3rd gen nano that Widowns and Itunes will accept it but then it will say the battery is completly charged and will stop charing even when its not even half charged. Whats going on?

We wanted to ensure your post was acknowledged as quickly as possible as your frustration is very clear. The events you’ve described in regards to your recent visit to our Boynton Beach Best Buy location are quite concerning. I completely understand the daily need for a phone, and personally feel disconnected when I don’t have mine. To be without my phone due to someone else’s actions would be equally as frustrating to me, and I sincerely apologize if this is what occurred during your visit.
While Samsung may have their own representatives in our stores, I feel that we, as Best Buy, should still be taking matters like this seriously, especially if our customers have been wronged in any way. Looking into your recent contacts to us, I do see that just yesterday you spoke with an agent who reached out to a Samsung Marketing Representative in the area, who stated they would be investigating this further. If you’ve heard anything since that conversation, please let me know.
With that said, I’m going to partner with you to explore what options are available as far as a resolution here. While it sounds like Samsung has been contacted, I’m also going to reach out to the leadership team at the store. Considering we’re approaching a 3-day Holiday weekend, it is quite possible that my research may carry-over until Monday. I do apologize in advance for any inconvenience that may cause.

I'm not sure what happened because when I plugged in my ipod today (I have an 8g ipod touch) everything was reset to the basics in itunes. My entire library was delted. Honestly I'm not really that upset by that as I was going to change out all of my music anyways.
My problems are as follows:
I can no longer add more than 1 folder at a time.
          -How can I change it to where I can add multiple folders again?
When I do add a folder it now automatically takes me out of the adding music on your ipod spot (sorry I don't know how else to describe that page) but it takes me out of there and automatically creates a playlist and starts to play the folder I just added.
          -How do I stop it from creating playlists automatically? I absolutely hate playlists. I've never used them and I don't forsee myself useing them anytime           soon.
          -How do I stop it from automatically playing the songs/folders I add?
          -How do I stop it from taking me out of the ipod page and into the playlists page?
My ipod NEVER used to do any of this before so I'm really not sure why all of that changed and why I can't change it back.
My audiobooks tab is gone.
          -How do I bring this back so I can audiobooks again?
I've spent the last couple of hours sifting through manuals, let me tell you 138 pages is a lot to go through, forums and google and a lot of technical jargon and acronyms. All in all, I'm having a heck of a time finding exactly what I need to help me out and I admit I am starting to get really frustrated.
The other day it was so easy, add a couple of folders to the library, select them hit apply and VOILA all was golden. Today, not so much.

I'm still having troubles getting the audio books to appear.
Heres what im selecting.
and then the books tab is still not appearing.
and then as far as adding folders here is what I am doing.
this was how i had it before. it gives me mroe control to choose what i want to add.
that is where i go to add the folder, like i did before.
selecting the folder like normal.
then this box immediatly pops up. not allowing me the option to select and apply any music i may have added.
the music starts playing and it takes me to the playlist page.
but when i click on the ipod icon and go back into this area. the folder is there.
all the steps ive just shown you is how i have ALWAYS done this ever since i got my ipod. Ive never had any of these weird problems utnil today.

IPhone 5 randomly shutting off and gets really really hot when it's charging

I have had my iPhone 5 for a month now and it started randomly shutting off and it would turn on by itself hours later. When I charge it, it gets incredibly hot... it's not normal should I go to the apple store about this issue? I am starting to get really scared about this... I don't know what it's causing it. How do I fix this? HELP!

Your phone is still under warranty, due to the battery service. Contact Apple and have them check the phone again.

Whenever i play dota 2 my macbook pro gets really hot. is this ok?

I just recently got my macbook pro 13 inch with normal factory specs. i downloaded steam and got dota 2 which is btw a really fun game. but whenever i play it, about 10 minutes in my computer starts to get really hot on the bottom. it gets hot to the point where if i put my hand there to see how hot it is, it starts to burn and actually hurt my hand and it doesnt feel good to keep it there long lol. but im wondering if this is normal and if its ok to keep playing? When it gets that hot it makes me want to stop playing because i dont want to progressively fry the components overtime as i need to keep this computer for a long time. i almost forgot to mention that im playing on pretty settings as far as graphics. i have alot of things turned off including shadows and antialiasing and other stuff that i really dont care about and the game still looks great but the computer still gets really hot. any help would be appreciated and thank you!

The Mac will shut down if the thermal parameter is exceeded (I don't know what that is). However, if it was me, I would stop playing the game.
