Starting weblogic server6.0

After setting environment using setExamplesEnv.cmd when iam trying to run my client program .i.e iam executing example statefulsession bean example by typing following command at config\examples directory.
java examples.ejb.basic.statefulSession.Client "http:127.0.0.1:7001" it says that "we were unable to make connection to the weblogic server at "http://127.0.0.1:7001" please make sure that the server is running"
eventhough my weblocis server's started.after server's started it says that
<weblogic server>weblogic server started
<weblogic server>Listen thread listening on port 7001
<weblogic server>SSListen thread listening on port 7002
<Performance Pack>unable to load Performance pack using java i/o
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:no muxer in java.library.path
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary()
at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0()
etc
is my server working properly?.if so then why iam unable to test my client program on that.
i have weblogic6.0 and my o/s in windows 98.plz let me know the solution for this.

There is no problem with the URL but some times we need to register 127.0.0.1 in your host file .
try like this -- http://machine_name:port_no/index.html
If this page is coming that means there is no problem with your server .Don't try with localhost or 127.0.0.1 try with ur machine name

    Has anyone experienced any difficulties when starting weblogic in debug mode.
    More specifically, it cannot start correctly because it thinks that another instance

    Unfortunatley the port is definately free/available during startup.

    Before starting your server, please could you check that the port is

    other process. You can use the netstat command to do this.

    How are you starting the managed server? Is it a new install? The error suggests that the managed server is already running. You could check the windows task manager to see if there is a Java process running (or two if managed and admin server is on the same machine)

    Hi,
    Few comments here...
    1) Seems your environment is not setup correctly but that is not the big cause here.....
    2) This one is important, it seems that you installed weblogic using a different account and are trying to run it from a different account.
    So the account with which you are trying to run weblogic does not have proper permission on
    MW_HOME\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config\fmwconfig\bootstrap\cwallet.sso
    Right click on the file and go in properties ..
    Enable full control,modify,Read and execute,read and write permissions for the user you are trying to start weblogic and apply it.
    if this simple steps doesnt work, please enable more logging by adding "-Djava.security.debug=jpspolicy" to startup option and grab more details.
    Good Luck let me know if this works.

  • Error in starting weblogic server using ant

    Hi,
    I am trying to start the weblogic server using ant.I used the following command:
    <taskdef name="wlserver" classname="weblogic.ant.taskdefs.management.WLServer">
    <classpath>

    </target>
    But it is giving me an error that java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Server
    I also tried the following command:
    <target name="start-weblogic">
    <java classname="weblogic.Server" fork="yes" classpathref="weblogic.classes" failonerror="true">

    <arg line="-ms200m -mx200m"></arg>

    </target>
    But the problem with this command is that it does not reurn control to execute the further commands.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi,
    Few comments here...

  • Error starting weblogic Admin server

    Hi All,
    I am not very familiar with Fusion and weblogic but here is my situation:
    Background: I am trying to install Fusion Middleware so I can integrate Oracle Transport Management with E-Business Suite (as per note Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g (Doc ID 1321776.1))
    I just installed the following on Oracle Enterprise  Linux 64bits
    - SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0
    - Weblogic Server 10.3.6
    -JDK 1.7.0_25
    -Jdev 11.1.1.7.0
    When starting the weblogic Admin server using "DOMAIN_HOME/startWebLogic.sh' I get an error:
    Starting weblogic with Java version:
    Unrecognized option -jrockit
    Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine
    I found a few thread with similar issue (for different versions of SOA suite)  where it got fixed by changing some parameters in the cmd file but I am not sure they apply to my case.
    Is the jdk version compatible? (I can start JDeveloper ok) , if not which one is the appropriate version. If i need to change it, can you provide details of how to do it? (I am not expert on SOA/Jdev  )
    Can you please help me here ?
    Thanks in advance!

    Well, I tested it
    java -version and it shows :
    1.7.0_25
    Java HotSpot 64 bit Server VM
    --> So I guess the problem is I don't seem to have the jrockit.
    I donwloaded it (Rel 28.7) and installed it. During installation it says "for JDK 1.6.0_45"
    Anyway. I let it install anyway and I modified the PATH to point to the Jrockit bin directory. Then run java -version and it now shows JDK 1.6.0_45 and jvm as rockit
    Now I tried to start the weblogic server and I get the same error. it still uses the JDK 1.7
    So.. again.. is this supported with JDK 7 ?
    How can I fix it now that I installed everything using the JDK 7?
    Thanks

    Back again? Nothing learned?
    No jdev version?
    You should n^know by now that you have to give at least some basic information.
    A description of what you tried to do outside the listing would help too.

    Just to make sure that this is not an upgrade issue. Did you have a look at the entire upgrade logs before confirming that the upgrade was through. Because in most of such cases the error turns out to be with the upgrade process.
    Thanks

  • How can I avoid re starting weblogic when servlets change

    Hello all,
    I always re start weblogic server 6.1 upon any changes to class files or servlets. does any one know of any configuration settings to avoid a re start when ever my servlets or class files change ? I deployed the application in exploded format and not in .war file format.
    thanks much
    Srik.

    Hi,
    if your question is: how can I update changes in my WebApp without having to restart my Weblogic server, then I have a hint:
    Maybe your server is running in productive mode. Try setting it to developement mode (edit the 'startWeblogic.cmd', find the line 'set STARTMODE=true' and change it to 'set STARTMODE=false').
    After this change the server needn't be restarted to make changes take effect.
    Hope this helps.
    Thomas.

    The diagnostics store is not transactional, it is written at the OS discretion.
    The exception is ultimately caused by java.io.IOException: Error from fcntl() for file locking, Resource temporarily unavailable, errno=11.
    Make sure (using an OS process list) that there is no accidentally started WLS instance of this server.
    If you ruled out another running instance of WLS and If your domain is stored on NFS, you might have run into a dangling lock issue after an NFS client crash. It is safe to get rid of the diagnostics store DAT files to recover from your situation (remove <DOMAIN>/servers/<SERVER>/data/store/diagnostics/WLS_DIAGNOSTICS<FILENUM>.DAT). If it were a store that contains useful data, such as the default store, custom JMS Server File Store, etc, we recommend copying this file within the same dir to some tmp name (e.g., <original-name>.copy), delete the original file, and rename <original-name>.copy back to <original-name>.
