Hello!
I need to send faxes from SAP (ECC 6.0 version), so I have configured a fax server (with ActiveFax server) in a PC inside of my net.
I want to realise a connection between SAP and the fax server throught RFC (Operative system Windows NT).
For text, In transaction sm59, I created a new RFC conection, type T and activation form explicit host.
I want to execute, for example, calc.exe program on destination machine, I put corresponding IP direction in destiny machine.
The problem is that when I trying to 'conection test' it giving back an error:
           - Error when opening an RFC connection
           - Time out during allocate
           - Location: SAP gateway on host....
           - Detail: no connect of TP calc.exe from host......
           - component: Sap gateway
           - return code: 242
Anybody knows how could I make the connection?
I hope you can help me as soon as possible.

RFCEXEC is use for upload/download files from/to your local PC.
I'm trying to send a fax throught SO01 transaction, so I wan to create a RFC connection to a local machine where I've installed a fax server (ActiveFax). Then, in SCOT transaction I can set Fax node with the RFC connection created and send faxes from SAPoffice (SO01).
Before configure the SCOT transaction I have to configure a RFC connection (SM59) between SAP and the fax sever installed. I have some problems in this step , the comunication is wrong.
I don't use ABAP code.
I hope you can understand and help me.

RFC Destination of TCP/IP type :: Using Explicit Host Option

We need to call the executable file in an External non-sap system.
We created the RFC detination for this & follow below steps -->
*) Create RFC Destination of type TCP/IP
*) Select option " <i>Start Explicit Host</i> "
*) In Program parameter provide the path & name of the executable file e.g c:\windows\notepad.exe
*) In Target Host providing the name of non-sap system.
But while using Test Connection we are getting following error -->

Hello Lalit,
Even though DNS is used you may have to have entires in host file.
Suppose the SAP server is A and the PC is B.
The the hostname/IP address for B should be maintained in A and vice versa should also happen.
Also check if you are able to ping the PC from the SAP servers and vice versa.

Serial number is not accepted to start program. serial number is off of pkg as requested.

Call Applecare, though with FCS years out of date, they may want to charge you to trouble shoot.
A couple of things to verify before you call them -
1. Make sure you have a full (not upgrade) version.
2. Make sure you are entering the numbers correctly. look VERY closely at the numbers and letters to make sure you don't mistake a 1 for I and 0 for O.
I find it useful to read them out load when entering. It may be helpful to have someone else read/ check the serial along with you.

IDX5 - System is not a central XI; cannot start program

hi all -
Did anyone come across this error message - "System is not a central XI; cannot start program" when trying to execute the tcode - IDX5 on the XI box?
I pushed an IDOC - MATMAS05 from IDOC to XI. It doesn't come into XI.
1. I checked the SM58 on the R/3 side. No Messages.
2. I checked the IDX5 transaction on the XI side, that's when i get the above error message.
3. I checked the IDX2 transaction on the XI side, i get this error "I:000" - Anyone knows what it means?
4. SXMB_MONI doesn't show up anything.
5. R/3 - pushed idocs shows a status of 3.
Any ideas where to look for and how to solve the problem -IDX5 and IDX2.
Environment:
1. We are using SAP NW 2004s
2. SAP BASIS Component - SAP_BASIS - Release 7.00

First of all, you should be familiar with the concept of programming and software development. If that's the case, the next step is to become a good programmer in C or C++. As you know, C++ is a superset of C, with the ability to do object-oriented programming in advanced. It is the only language that helps you to gain a deep understanding of OO design and implmentation. There are a lot of books out there, but I recommend:
1. Teach yourself C by Herbert Schildt.
2. Teach yourself C++ or C++ from the ground up both by Herbert Schildt.
3. The C++ programming language by Bjarn Stroustrup (The creator of C++).
4. Learn C on the Macintosh by Dave Mark.
5. Learn C++ on the Macintosh by Dave Mark.
5. Objects, Abstractions, Data Structures and Design using C++ by Elliot B. Koffman and Paul A.T. Wolfgang. (A must read book)
Knowing C/C++ is a great ability, as it allows you to develop software for any other platform you want, such as Microsoft Windows or Linux or anything else. In fact, the underlying structure of all operating systems used today, has been implemented in C or C++. There is Unix operating system at the core of Mac OS X. So you can also make programs for Mac OS X using C or C++.
The object-oriented API of Mac OS X is called Cocoa and Apple has chosen Objective-C at this level. This language is also a superset of C and is very powerful. It is a dynamic programming language as opposed to C++. Learning to program in Objective-C is not so hard, and it just takes some time to get comfortable with the syntax and the dynamicity of the language.
If you learn to program for Mac OS X, then you can easily port your knowledge to iOS. There is also Unix at the kernel level of iOS, so there are a lot of similarities in both operating systems.
There are a lot of books and resources to learn to program for Apple devices. You should know that after learning to program in Objective-C, which is nothing special other than doing OOP in C, you should learn about Cocoa, it's architecture, design, and huge class library used to create applications for Mac OS X. And to create apps for iOS, you need to be familiar with Cocoa Touch, the litle brother of Cocoa.

7. Pro Objective-C Design Patterns for iOS - Apress (I have not yet read it, but I think it is good)
8. Beginning iOS 6 Development - Apress (There are a lot of books on iOS programming out there. I have not read this one yet, but I think it is good to take a look at.)
At the end, you always have to use developer documentation provided by Apple, which is accessible through developer.apple.com web site.

Very n00b error....just started programming and need help?!?!

im running j2se 1.5.0 on windows xp
im on the subject of classes and objects.
here is my simple little code im trying to get to compile

Where is the Greeter class ??
ok may be you must have defined it somewhere else
Mostly the Java Compiler hasnt found out your Greeting class
Try locating that " Greeter.java"
or mention it in an other file located in the same folder as "Newprog.java"

Try to run report BBP_ATTR_XPRA400. This report does the conversion all the organisation structure attributes. Also report BBP_LOCATION_MIGRATION_SET will unlock your plant replication program, if there exists one.

When trying to open Photoshop it crashes when
the display window is trying to open and the text:
BUILDING MARK TWAIN
is showing. Then it crashes never making it to

I've tried uninstalling the program and installing

In case you have some scanner/printer etc installed in the machine it might be causing issue. Try launching with none of the devices attached and anti virus disabled.

No. But after the MP3s are created and you are satisfied that things went OK, just delete the WMAs manually and say "Good Riddance."
You can use an MP3 in multiple players, but you need to turn off any features that automatically change or move files, since one player will change something that messes up the other:
In iTunes, that means go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced and uncheck "Keep..." and "Copy..."
In Windows Media Player, that means go to Tools > Options > Library, and uncheck everything that starts with a verb such as "Rename...," "Rearrange...," etc.

First I have created a user with SU01, then given the role of mySAP SRM Operational Purchaser.
After that using Tcode users_gen and Create Users from Existing SU01 Users I have generated EBP user for that user.
Then in the mySAP portal I cant use any steps including Shop, Check Status, Approval or anything else.

Locations as of EBP 4.0 - plant replication
As of EBP 4.0, a business partner of type location must exist for every R/3 plant; for this reason, the plants must be replicated from all R/3 Backend systems known in the system.
The system does not start an EBP application before the replication has not been executed successfully; the program terminate themselves and the system refers to this note with an error message.
If you upgrade from BBP 2.0B or BBP 2.0C, you must first convert the old 'Shopping carts' so that the program plants described here can convert to locations. Use the BBP_TRANSFORM_SCS report for the conversion (see also note 481100).
Process:
The replication must be explicitly triggered by means of program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL.
This program checks first whether the system in question is an upgrade system, and if necessary it checks whether XPRA BBP_ATTR_XPRA400 was terminated with errors (in this case, BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL terminates and has to be restarted after a successful run of the XPRA).
After the XPRA check, the system determines from table BBP_BACKEND_DEST all backend systems that can be accessed by RFC.
Then the system reads all locations already existing in the EBP in order
to convert any existing data in a legacy system
to obtain comparison values to avoid duplicate records (identical data records with different partner numbers)
Then the system imports the data for the plants from all back end systems determined before, compares them with the existing master records and either adds mapping entries or generates new business partners accordingly.
In upgrade systems the following activities are also carried out:
Conversion of the favorites (user-specific values for the last used business partners of the type location from table BBP_GRCPLANT_FAV)
Conversion for user attributes WRK and REQUESTER (the business partner number is added to attribute WRK, the logical backend system is added to attribute REQUESTER)
Conversion of the legacy documents (an entry with partner function 'Location' must be added to references 'Backend plant'; entries with business partner of type location as the ship-to party must be deleted and also an entry with partner function 'Location' must be added)
If all subtasks could be executed without errors, the program finally sets the transaction authorization (that is, as of this time it is possible to start 'normal' EBP transactions as, for example, the shopping cart, again).
The transaction authorization consists of a 'switch' in table T77S0 (GRPID = EBP and SEMID = LMIGR) which is delivered with value '0'.
As long as this value is not set to 'X', all EBP transactions terminate themselves.
Success/warning/error messages in program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL are stored in application log BBP_LOCATIONS_GET (Transaction SLG1).
Setting the transaction authorization manually:
The customer can decide to set the 'switch' in table T77S0 to 'X' and to allow the work start under the following circumstances:
Only one error has occurred, this should be ignored
One of several back ends broke down during an upgrade or during an installation, and a postponement of the system start cannot be allowed.
Troubleshooting is not possible/required.
This is only a local scenario (which should actually not exist because at least an FI R/3 Backend system should exist) so that a replication of plants is not possible.
For this purpose, program BBP_LOCATION_MIGRATION_SET is availbale which sets required value 'X' in table T77S0 (if the program was started inadvertently, the original value can be restored using BBP_LOCATION_MIGRATION_RESET).
If the replication from a backend system could not be executed it is possible to repeat this step at a later time via program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM for exactly this R/3 system.
If only single plants cannot be replicated (for example due to inadequately maintained data), they can be copied to the EBP after being revised with program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED (the program can also be used during normal operation to transfer new plants to locations).
You can also create individual locations via the Web transaction 'Managing Business Partners' and assign them to an R/3 plant.
