Starts With Parameter for Last Name for Created By serach criteria F4

Hi,
I have a requirement, where I need to add a seach parameter "Starts With" in backend for the last/first name of the Created by serach criteria F4 in lead search.
But I am seeing for the CREATED_BY criteria the F4 automatically comes from standard and there is no view exist for the F4 in backend.This seems to come from the domain level! Can anyone help how to achieve this?

Hello Raj,
In lead search, we have a criteria for Created_by. Now when user uses the F4 of the Created_by, there are option for first name and last name to search the user names.
Now when user uses any name(1st or last), the result shows as 1 result found, but actually now result comes.
hence now they are asking me to add a parameter as starts with for the 1st name and last name of the created_by F4 window search criteria.
Hope this explanation will be clear for you. If possible please help.
Actually the F4 of the Created_by comes from the standard, and there is no component/view available in CRM.

Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.

CUrrently we are using BP_ ERP5ESS1.31 SP5 & SAP_ESS 603 SP5.
All my ESS Services are Displaying fine and working from Portal.I am having the requirement like I need to make Last Name as Non-Mandatory field in Personal Data. While Editing the PD Screen, there i will find the * mark for Last Name filed, i checked through the Global Personalization Make as Mandatory is Not Personalized its showing, i think its defualt prpoerty,so i am unable make any changes from Portal w.r.t Global Personalization.
I checked in SPRO-- Personal Admin> Custmomizing User Interfaces>Change Screen Modifications, there i find the respective Module pool for those Infotypes and country Specific..
I cheked forModulePool MP000200--> P0002 and Variable Key-40(For India) P0002 - NACHIN -- LastName only OF Radio Button is Selected all other Rado buttons are not selected.
I Checked in V_T588MFPROPS view there for 0002 Infotype P0002 -- NACHN Mandatory check box is Checked all other check boxes are Unchecked.
How to make that Last Name field as Non-Mandatory in Personal Data Edit Screen, where i need to make the changes.'
Please list out the Steps..Where i need to do the configuration. And i assigned all the required ESS roles on the backend.

Hi,
I don't think supressing through Global Personalization will change the business logic. Within the Business Logic it checks for the mandatory field.
After the changes I guess you need to make the changes accordingly.

Different names for the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks are optional, but can be convenient for you to distinguish one from another. It's up to you.

Default Last name for Spouse in Family infotype 0021

We have a requirement and wondering somebody could help me with that:
when ever we maintain the Family infotype 0021 - If the person is married the spouse last name is automatically populating in the last name field. Is there any functionality which would allow the last name of the female spouse come in as blank as it is not standard for the last name to be same as husband.

Search for last name by any spelling

I am tring to do a search in MSSQL on a column in the database. If the user types in the lastname field smiths or smeth, the records return would be anything near that spelling. I am looking for all the 'smith' last name in the column and I have tried every which way with the percent. And I am not returning any records. Here is my current code. and lastname like '%#form.lname#'

This may be too much work, but you could use the soundex library at CFLIb to go through your DB, converting the names and putting them in a new column of the table (soundex_lastname). Then you could soundex() the user input in the query and compare it to the soundex_lastname field in the database - that way your DB doesn't have to support soundex.
Note, that soundex only really works well with anglicised names, it doesn't work very well for international names or any other text as far as I can see. Check out the link for more information.

Do you mean mandatory field of table or for the form? if it is for the table execute the following sql command -
alter table table_name modify ("COLUMN_NAME" NUMBER(10,0) NULL) --change the attributesFor the form field, remove the validation for that field and this will solve the problem, it will not validate if you leave it blank or no data entered.

I think it's a bit more complicated than that
First you would need to loook up person number (PERSNUMBER) via USER-ID in ADRP and then look for full name in USR21 via this person number.
So solution to your problem might look something like:
SELECT SINGLE adrp~name_text INTO name_text
FROM usr21 JOIN adrp ON usr21~persnumber = adrp~persnumber AND
adrp~date_from = '00010101' AND
adrp~nation = ''
WHERE usr21~bname = usnam.
Where usnam ofcourse is USER-ID for which you want to find full name.

Do you have your email account set up on your computer e.g. on Outlook on a PC or Mail on a Mac ? If you have then you should be able to sync the settings from that to your iPad via the Info tab when connected to your computer's iTunes. Or you could just look at the settings for the account on your computer's email program and copy them over to the iPad manually.
The incoming and outgoing server names are the servers that your email provider uses for your account to recieve (incoming) and send (outgoing) emails. A lot of accounts should be covered by the options that are listed on the 'Add Account' screen - for my Yahoo based accounts I just chose Yahoo! and the settings were set for me. If you have an account that isn't covered by those types then you could try logging into your account via a browser and see if they have any help for what settings you need to use. Different account providers have different settings, so if your can't find anything on your provider's site if you say on here who your provider is there might be somebody else here who has the same provider and can tell you what settings to use.

Sorry, Oracle doesn't auotmatically keep track of the order in which rows were inserted. If you need to know that, then you need to save something in the table that will tell you the insertion order, such as a sequence value.

Can I un-merge contacts so people with the same last name have separate entries?

Since upgrading to iOS7 on my iPhone 4, I find that a lot of contacts were merged into single entries. The merged contacts are people with the same address and may have same last name, but they have other contact info that differs, especially different mobile phone numbers. Is there a way to separate such contacts so I can tell whose mobile phone number is whose? I sync my iphone contacts with the address book on my iMac (OS 10.7.5), where each person remains a separate entry. It is useless for me to see one entry per family on my phone when I cannot tell whose phone number is whose. Any way to fix this?

Contact bug with non English last name

I put the chinese name as last name, so that they will show up on the contact next to the English first name ie. George [chinese], this worked no problem, but when I send sms to more than one such contact it will fail with "xxx is not on the contact...", but I can send to one contact at a time no problem. I reset the phone and re-do the contact via OVI suite but still the same problem, the only way to make it work is to put the chinese as part of the first name, this looks good on the contact and can send sms to multi contact no problem, but this is a very stupid workaround, I don't have this problem on previous N phones.

Some of my web dynpro components are throwing this exception:

Getting Started with Flex and Java RPC for Free?

Good Morning,
Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post- I'm
just having trouble wrapping my head around what is and what isn't
available for free in the Adobe Flex world.
I've been working on an application for the last few months
using Open Laszlo (
http://www.openlaszlo.org/),
but I've been running into frustrations with their lack of
up-to-date documentation, and I've found it difficult to bring new
people into the project, since the set of users who know it is so
small.
While I do like that I can compile to DHTML, that's not
enough to hold me there.
I've been looking into Adobe Flex, and it seems like a good
alternative- I'm comfortable paying $500 for the IDE-
I use Eclipse currently, so having a plugin for it sounds
ideal. That said, when I look into ways to talk to a Java backend,
everything points to Flex Data services, which is now part of some
larger package costing tens of thousands of dollars.
I don't need advanced messages, or data synchronization, as
nice as it would be.. All I really need is the ability to call a
Java method, and get an object back, which I can then work with in
Flex.
I see the forum message that asks
"How
do I 'do' Flash for free?, but this only talks about RPC very
broadly. Given that the message is from over a year ago, I thought
it would be better form to start a new topic, than replying to it.
Can someone explain to me what components I'd need, both on
the client side and the server side?
Is there a set of manuals that explain how to do Flex RPC
from Java?
Can Flex compile to any versions of flash earlier than 9?
(Flash 6/7 is still in wide deployment)
Do I want to start using Flex 2, or Flex 3? Are the
components compatible? Will the F3 docs be ready?
Finally, where can I purchase the Charting components? The
ability to create charts such as
this
overcome a decent price barrier.
