Startup always tries to find my other computer?

When I restart my computer, it ALWAYS tries to reconnect to my mac mini in the other room. ONE TIME I shared files between the two and now it ALWAYS looks for it when restarting.
How can I disable this? I looked in my startup items folder and there's nothing there that would make it look for the mini. Where do I look to stop this from happening?

If it is trying to find the other computer, and failing, whatever is looking ought to be posting error messages to the log file. Try launching Console from your Utilities folder and see if there are error messages, and, if so, exactly what they say. That might give a clue.
If there's nothing in the Console log, try clicking on the Logs icon in the toolbar and then click on the system.log--the newest log, which reports what the computer is doing when it starts up, begins with the time. I just started up 10 minutes ago, so I scroll up and see:
Nov 15 23:03:08 localhost kernel[0]: standard timeslicing quantum is 10000 us
Scroll down aways after that and you will see where it mounts your disks, with a message like this:
Nov 15 23:03:10 localhost diskarbitrationd[43]: disk2s10 hfs

After that the login window starts, and at some point thereafter would be the information that might solve the mystery.

If you have the horizontal menu bar showing (File, Edit, View,...), select View, then select Show Sidebar.
If the menu bar is not showing, dorp down the menu in the very upper left corner and select show menu bar, then follow steps above.

Can't get migration assistant to find the other computer

Tried to use Migration Assistant, but its help is pretty skimpy. Regardless of options chosen, neither computer could find the other. Should both computers be on with MA, or first one then the other? Really couldn't find any protocol.
They do have different account names and passwords, is that the issue?
G5 to G5 connected by firewire, tried working from either end, old to new, new to old neither way does the other computer get "found".

After connecting the two computers by FireWire cable you must boot one (the old one) into Target Disk Mode. Then boot the other normally. The "old" computer's disk drive should appear on the "new" computer's Desktop. You may then us Migration Assistant to transfer from old to new.
Your new computer's user account that you created will need to have a different short name than the one you plan to import via MA as MA will not overwrite an existing account. If this is no longer feasible then consider moving your data manually.
Folders You Can Move to Your new Mac
From the Home folder copy the contents of Documents, Movies, Music, Pictures, and Sites.
In your /Home/Library/ folder:
/Home/Library/Application Support/AddressBook (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Application Support/iCal (copy the whole folder)
Also in /Home/Library/Application Support (copy whatever else you need including folders for any third-party applications)
/Home/Library/Keychains (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Mail (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Preferences/ (copy the whole folder)
/Home /Library/iTunes (copy the whole folder)
/Home /Library/Safari (copy the whole folder)
/Home /Library/Calendars (copy the whole folder)
If you want cookies:
/Home/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist
/Home/Library/Application Support/WebFoundation/HTTPCookies.plist
For Entourage users:
Entourage is in /Home/Documents/Microsoft User Data

I installed Adobe Cloud on 2 computers, then decided to have it rather on one other. So uninstalled on one computer and re installed on another computer. However, cannot use MUSE for example as it still says that I already installed it twice. How can I "decommission" my other computer so that it is realized that I am running CLOUD on 2 computers only?

My WRT54GS router isn't adding my other computer

It works fine with this computer, followed all steps, but it will not detect my other computer. I do the setup to add the next computer, after i plug it in it doesnt add it to the my network screen. I also have an Xbox 360 to hook up to it also. All computers are wired and so is the xbox. Any help would be appriciated.

If you were trying to connect the other computer by the software, you should turn off the firewall and any other security software as it can block you from setting it up.Or you can plug the computer you want to add into the router and perform a Power Cycle, see below.
You should try is a power cycle,(make sure you connect the computer to the router) you need to remove the power cable from the Linksys router, then remove the power cable from the modem, wait about 60 seconds, then plug in the modem, then plug in the Linksys router. Wait about 3 minutes while the modem and router sync back up. Once all light are back on, try to connect.
If you already have set up the router and the other items connected are working with no problems then the above steps should connect the computer you want to add.

I'm trying to find an easier way to import my music to iTunes. Even the most basic music player can scan your computer and import found music into your library. I don't want to move my MP3s into the iTunes folder, I don't want iTunes doing any conversion.

I'm trying to find an easy way to import my MP3 collection into iTunes without moving, copying or changing it.
I can't believe that iTunes doesn't have this feature, as even the most basic music players always have this.
I only use iTunes to sync my iPod, as I like Media Monkey to play my MP3s.
I have 137GB of MP3s, mainly from my ripping my CDs, LPs and downloading from Amazon. I've only purchased a handful of songs from iTunes,
Any ideas on how to do this easily?

Okay, no problem.
If the top bar menu is not displayed in top left of your iTunes Library, use the CTRL+B keys to turn it on:
On that menu, use File/Add Folder to Library and navigate to the folder you wish to add:
If you wish to add just one song, notice the File/Add File to Library command on that menu as well.
Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop from the file's location into your iTunes Library.
That's all there is to it.
By the way, it is possible to have Amazon MP3s downloaded to your computer and then automatically added to the iTunes Library by the Amazon downloader. I do it all the time.

I am guessing "10.6" refers to an OS X version of a Mac Operating System. I am guessing you have a very old Mac that has not been updated in years, because OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) was released more than two years ago.
So, what type of Mac do you have? What vintage (when was it made)?
You would need at least OS X 10.6.8 to run a current enough version of iTunes that can communicate with iOS 6.

I'm using an iMac with the newest OS X Yosemite. I tried to reinstall Creative Cloud, removed all the programs. But I still get the 'old' 2014 version with the Lionhead, not the Sunglasses (october 2014) with interactive libraries. I am trying to delete a file that i found on cleanmymac. I am trying to find the file on my computer, but it doesnt work!!! On CleanMyMac it even says the location of where the file is, But i cant find it!!!!

If the file is in your user Library, it's hidden by default in Mountain Lion. You can reach it on the Finder's menubar, Finder > Go > Hold the Option key down > Select Library.
Make sure you know what the file is before you delete it.

This is exactly what keeps happening to mine too. I was at a conference taking notes, and I was
using the Notebook template, and doing some audio recording simultaneously. About 3 hours into the conference (not consistently recording, but on and off with the sessions) my file wouldn't save anymore, saying something like "File cannot be modified while in use with another program" and "Invalid file name" when I would go back into my folder to look for it). I tried installing some updates from Microsoft, and when I restarted, I was at least able to open my old notes again, and so far it looks like the audio was working. However, today at the conference, the same thing happened again, but I wasn't actively recording any audio (though after I had copy and pasted my second file of notes into the original, I went back to using it after re-naming it).
Does the crash happen to you under similar cirucumstances? The update might help a little, but it is definitely not the solution. Does anyone have any solutions? Lion shouldn't be this buggy... I moved to Mac to get away from the garbage of bugs and compatibility issues...

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
