Startup MacOS window popup

Hey everyone,
Just a quick question, I don't think it's too serious of a problem for me, but recently when starting up my mid-2009 MacBook Pro, I've noticed that the 'MacOS' window always pops up after logging into my account, it hasn't become that much of a problem for me (I mean, I just close the window everytime), but what I am afraid of is that it may pose a problem later on. Does anyone else have this problem? Better yet does anyone know the source of this annoyance?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

  • How to remove annoying POPUPS ON STARTUP C:\Windows\System32\igfxtray.exe

    Hi -
After I on intel.com tried to upgrade my graphic driver Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family my screen at startup shows a popup-box with the text:
    C:\Windows\System32\igfxtray.exe
I am asked to "Run" or "Cancel" but no matter what I choose the exact same popup is shown on startup again and I have to Click 3 times on Cancel to get the box disappear - It doesnt seem to influence on my use of the laptop but its a little annoying that its shows up.
On windows.com help forum I have followed some suggestions without help except the suggestion on open Regedit because many have told med not to mess around in the Regedit
I have with no succes asked this question on a forum within intel.com
Has anyone a suggestion what to do?
    Thanks in Advance
    DonOlesen

    Hi
The igfxtray.exe seems to belongs to Intel driver and this file is a part of quick access software to the control panel via a System Tray icon for graphics based upon the Intel.
Usually you should see a small Intel display icon in the task bar in the right lower corner.
    The igfxtray.exe controls this.
So you can also disable this in msconfig.
In search type msconfig. Then choose StarUp tab and choose remove the mark from the entry containing the igfxtray.exe
Now save the changes and reboot the unit
    That should disable this popup.

  • Window popup doesn't open in a build .exe application

Hello. I wrote code in order to open a VI as a windows popup.
Running it in labview, it works fine. If I build the application (host side) and I run it in windows (win 7) it doesn't open any popup.
    I'm sure that:
    1) both the main and popup VIs are included inside the source files during the build steps.
    2) the popup is not running behind the main window.
    3) popup VI window appearance is "modal"
    Here my code:
Does anyone know what to do?
    thank you
    fpia

    Thank you Mark and josborne.
It seems all you suggested me it's ok. I mean:
The path of my VIs are correct. I selected the startup VI (and I can see it inside this section) and in "Always Included" section there is the right VI popup.
The front panel is not removed from the VI popup. I can see it in the "source file settings" section.
josborn, I tryed to put error handing in my code, and I got some errors but I think thery are unuseful in my specific case. Here they are:
Built Application or Shared Library (DLL): Make sure all dynamically loaded VIs were properly included in the build specification for the application or shared library.
LabVIEW Real-Time: VIs built into executables cannot be accessed through VI Server calls. Use Source Distributions to dynamically call VIs on Real-Time targets.
I got this error from the "Open VI reference" function. But...
About the first line, I'm sure all the involved VIs are included. I see the VI caller as "Startup VI" and the VI popup as "Always Included".
About the second line, I'm not testing it with a Real-Time target. I'm running this simple project just in a windows 7 environment. Anyway my VI server is running and setted in according with NI documentation.
I attach the project. Could you please be so kind to give a glance to it? It is very small and simple.
    Thank you.

  • How do I disable Fennec startup cmd window?

    Hi,
When you run Fennec windows version everytime, you should see a cmd window startup first then Fennec browser popup. How do I disable Fennec startup cmd window and just lunch Fennec browser?
    Thanks,

This is expected. The desktop version is for developers to test the code without needing an Android device in front of them.

  • Help! When I startup my Windows 7 partition I get a delay, then a repair screen.

I have been fighting this for about 2 months since I bought Skyrim.
I installed XP multiple times and now I bought Windows 7 and am still having trouble.
Now when I startup my Windows 7 partition I get a delay, then a repair screen instead of a usable windows.
Someone please help me I have been installing and reinstalling Windows.
It seems like it might be related to leaving it on overnight (fan/overheating issue? or installing windows updates issue?) but I don't know for sure. Just recently, it was freezing while loading windows, and with xp both mac OS and Windows stopped working.

Well, I guess I could have been more specific and added: Boot from the MacOS installer DVD (or repair partition) also and "Repair Disk" and repair the Mac side and see if that helps.
The same with the Windows repair: Insert the Windows DVD and boot from it and navigate to the "Repair installation" menu and repair the Windows side and see if that helps.
Thanks for catching that, can never be too sure.......

Video driver in the image was originally out of date, changed the driver to the latest and greatest available straight from Intel for the Intel HD 3000 graphics card and this error still appears.  Driver 9.17.10.3517 exceeds the minimum requirement
for Lync 2013.  The faulting module is related to the graphics driver, but reinstalling does nothing, uninstalling and then reinstalling does nothing, it cannot further be upgraded.  This same error affects all the Dell latitude e6520's.  It
also only occurs in Windows 8.1.  The windows 7 image using the exact same driver version (both the outdated driver and latest driver) works just fine with Lync 2013.
Running Lync with administrative permissions does nothing, disabling hardware acceleration did nothing.  None of our laptops come with the bluetooth adapter, and also updated all other drivers such as chipset and soundcard.  Error occurs on the
RTM version of Lync, and Lync with SP1 fully updated.  The rest of Office 2013 works fine.  I am currently at a loss here short of telling the help desk to not image E6520's with Windows 8.1 because Lync 2013 doesn't work on it.  But there has
to be a reason for it.  Calling out for some suggestions here.
    Thanks!

We also have the same issue with Dell E6420 running Windows 8.1. Lync application does not respond after start-up. Did you try looking for the error file under
    C:\users\username\appdata\local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Reportarchive
it should create file like AppHang_lync.exe_some numbers. search for the latest one.
Interesting, I don't have any 6420's handy but figured the issue would exist on those also.  I looked up the location you mention and see many crash logs for Lync.  Not really sure what the error is, just says it stopped working.

  • IMac 27 Late 2009 with Random black screen at startup of Windows 7!

Hi, I'll try to explain the my random black screen issue as best I can.
I have a boot camp partition with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate installed.
I used the USB method to install, all goes well and Windows 7 gets installed, I update drivers, install boot camp etc. all is good, right!
My problem is that everything seems to be in working order, but the built in LED screen will only get lit/active in 1 out of 5 times at startup of Windows, eg. the built in screen stays black/off (black screen issue), like the install issue on iMac 27 I7 w/ATI 4850.
NOTE! When booting OS X the built in LED screen gets lit/active on every startup.
So what I did was connect a second LCD monitor via Display port to DVI, this monitor/screen has no issues, it gets lit/active on every startup of Windows, even if the built in screen/monitor stays black/off (black screen issue).
NOTE! I have tested both the latest drivers from Apple (10.4 19/MAR/2010, found on the USB install method) and AMD ATI Catalyst Driver (10.8 25/AUG/2010). The issue remains on both Apple released drivers and AMD ATI released drives.
    1. So to me it seems like there are some detection/communication issues between the built in monitor and the video card on Windows 7, as there is no issue detecting and activating a monitor connected to the display port.
Are we missing a monitor driver in Windows that OS X has, or is this a hardware issue that Apple knows about and compensates for in OS X with on load firmware, driver or a kernel fix?
    2. Does anyone else have this issue on their 27" iMac Late 2009 I7, ATI HD 4850 machine?
If yes, did you manage to solve it?
Thanks for any help on this issue.
    Cheers,
    Kevin

Hi, I've seem to have found out the source of the problem.
The issue is related to heat, and an iMac 27" gets hot pretty fast.
If I boot the iMac straight after first start into Windows 7 I seem to get a lit built-in display at all times. I can also boot OS X first and then into Windows 7 and the built-in screen get lit every time as long as the iMac isn't hot.
Strange thing is that the monitor connected to the display port gets lit every time. So I can only assume that the heat only interfere with output to the built-in LED screen.
So this iMac is going to an Apple premium reseller for service, and I'll tell you guys how it went.

  • Window popup issue in WD ABAP

    Hello Techies,
In one of our application in WD ABAP we are facing issue while opening window popup. Window screen is not opened in popup screen but displayed in same screen at the bottom. Also we are not able to do any operation. Like putting value in input field & clicking on button. This issue doesn't appear in test system. Also this is an issue in IE7 , IE8 whereas it works fine with IE6. Also this is specific to this window, all other windows are working fine in application. Any clue?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Sap user
transfer the data from popup screen to another view make a serve side cookies. call the method set_server_ cookies from the class cl_bsp_server_sde_cookies in   Onmanipulation event. And call the method get_server_cookies from the class cl_bsp_server_side_cookies in Onrequest event.

  • Premiere Elements 3 Freezes on startup in Windows 7

I just loaded Premiere Elements 3 on a laptop with Windows 7 and it freezes on startup. I can't find any reference to drivers for Windows 7. I've used PE3 satisfactorily with Windows XP and want to continue to use it. Does anyone have a solution that doesn't involve upgrading to a later version or switching to another video editing program? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled.

Thanks for all three responses. Long story short: I've made progress to where Premiere Elements 7 now freezes *after* startup in Windows 7.
Neale: It's Windows Home Premium on a Sony VGN-NW270F with an Intel Core2 Duo T6600 2.2 GHz processor, with 4GB of memory. I hope this additional information is helpful in diagnosing my problems with PE3 version 3.02 and Windows 7.
Steve: I found I already had PE3 Version 3.02, so that was not the problem. However, I did uninstall and re-install, with no better results. I then poked around in the Windows 7 Help files and stumbled across the misnamed "Compatibility Manager" (it's really an "Incompatibility Manager"). When I set PE3 to run under XP Service Pack 2, PE3 finally started up. I then found I could load video files and edit them. But, after working on this for a few days, I tried to use the Transitions and Effects Button. That invariably sends PE3 off to La La Land, which only a power off will fix (I haven't had to power off so many times since I used Windows 95 and the early DOS systems, which doesn't seem like progress.)  So far, I haven't found a solution to this new freeze problem. Any suggestions as to what might make PE3 work properly?
You say that PE3 is a relatively old version of the program. Well, not that old -- "old" programs dated 2007 should work on operating systems released only two years later. However, I haven't upgraded from PE3 because it worked really well on my XP machine and subsequent releases of PE appear to be buggy. From what I've read in the Forum here, I wouldn't upgrade to PE8 because even that version doesn't seem to work well with Windows 7. I've wasted enough time on this already.
John: Unfortunately, I just have Windows 7 Home Premium, the plain vanilla OS.  So far, I am thoroughly unimpressed with Windows 7. New operating systems are supposed to bring advantages, not be incapable of running programs that ran under previous operating systems.
    Thanks,
    George

  • New window popup does not open on Windows

    hi,
when I open an new window in a Premiere HTML5 extension on Mac, it works,
but no window opens on Windows.
    newwindow = window.open('www.adobe.com','name','height=200,width=150');
Trying to apply moveTo() or focus() after open() returns Cannot call ... method of undefined.
I wonder what causes this, probably it just gets blocked. By Windows? Premiere on Windows? Chrome in the extension on Windows?
Is there something I can do about this?
I cannot open it in the default browser because ultimately the window popup is a Paypal popup
opened by a webpage loaded in an iframe- which gives the same result as trying to open a window directly from within the extension as described above,
    thanks,
    Jeff.

This is a known issue of CEP; we disabled these methods (with window.open() or <a href=url >) to open a new page. A work around is using API CSInterface.openURLInDefaultBrowser(url) to open it in system default browser. I am afraid that CEP does not provide other work around methods if openURLInDefaultBrowser() cannot suit your requirements.

  • How to create a button that close a window/popup.

Hi, I must create in a view a button that close the window/popup that include the view, the button must be like the OK button of the popup or the X button at the top-right side . It's possible?

    Hi Avalor.
You can create a custom pop up window. Just create a view that contains all
elements that you want to display. Add the button that closes the view. Create a
new window that only contains this new view. Use the mentioned method to create
a new window as pop up. You just have to pass the name of the window you have
created. Store the reference to the new window in the component controller
    (mr_window).
From the new window->view you have access to the component controller.
In the action handler of the button you can use something like this:
    wd_comop_controler->mr_window->close( ).
    Cheers,
    Sascha

  • NetBoot images are not showing up in the Startup Disk window

I have created a few Netboot images, enabled them and placed them in the correct place.
They don't show up in the Startup Disk window.
I have noticed that bootparamd is not running, and that after a while also bootpd disappeared.
    Strange, no?
(I started them back up and it didn't make a difference.)

It looks like the NFS exports has separate entries for both:
    /Volumes/xxxxx
    /Volumes/xxxxx/Library/NetBoot/NetBootSP0
and that's not allowed. You can't separately export a directory and one of its subdirectories on the same file system.
It sounds like maybe the Server Admin tools are confused. If you don't really need /Volumes/xxxxx exported, then I think just deleting that share should fix things up.
If you can't get the tools to straighten things out, you could override all the NFS exports with your own defined in /etc/exports. There's an exports(5) man page that describes the format and creating an /etc/exports file will override anything in NetInfo (10.4 and earlier).
If you want to export both directories, they just need to be listed in the same exports entry, like:
    /Volumes/xxxxx /Volumes/xxxxx/Library/NetBoot/NetBootSP0
This causes the "/Volumes/xxxxx" file system to be exported and allows only the directories "/Volumes/xxxxx" and "/Volumes/xxxxx/Library/NetBoot/NetBootSP0" to be mounted.

I cannot get iTunes to automatically launch at startup in Windows 7. I need it to do this so my Apple TV 'finds' my Music Library, which is stored on an external hard-drive, connected to my Windows 7 PC. Anyone know how I do this? I cannot seem to find anything on Google, which is surprising.
iTunes helper launches OK, but not iTunes itself. Am I being dim?
    Thanks

The iTunes application should be installed on the system drive. You may need to repair iTunes to fix that error regarding a missing .exe.

    Hi,
WDS provides PXE boot to install windows, it has nothing to do with windows component. I don’t think WDS is the culprit here.
I recommend you ask in manufacture forum, they may give you more effective suggestions.
    Thanks for understanding.
