Startup of the exerpience server

on a production system it might not be very useful to have the start of the experience server by starting the JAR file. also creating a batch file for startup requires user login, also nothing which i would recommend since the console can be locked but a user needs to logged into the system.
any recommendation how to make a windows based service to launch it after reboot of a server ?

Is it possible to start a WL6.0 cluster without the admin server being up
          and running? If not, are there any workarounds that eliminate the admin
          server as a single point of failure?


          I have same questions.
          1.The admin server's primary task is up the cluster?And if admin server is down

          2.Is it right when the cluster is working,the useful ip is admin server's ip?For

Remotely starting the CMS server using a SSH script in a Unix environment.

Is it possible to remotely start a CMS server using a shell script which starts an SSH session and runs the startservers command asin the command below:
ssh -o ConnectionAttempts=2 -o ConnectTimeout=10 -l boadmin huxd0226 '/opt/BO/boxir2/bobje/startservers'
The command securely logs into the server (huxd0226) and runs the command described in single quotes.

This is exactly the same as a normal manual startup of the CMS server except it dies at the loading of the db2databasesubsystem section.
Business Objects is patched to Fix Pack 3.6 and is clustered in a HACMP environment. It is a requirement that when the DB2 database fails, shortly after restarting it can automatically start the Business Objects services remotely.
SSH will work if the command is entered manually from within a secured session, but it is only when automated that the failure occurs. Does anyone have an idea on why this is happening and whether it is in fact possible ?

it happens when i try to load any form i.e hrms managemnet --> work structure -> organization

You can write it inside your ManagedServers Start Script or even you can write it in your "setDomainEnv.sh"(if u are in UNIX OS) or in "setDomainEnv.cmd (if it is WINDOWS)"as described in the below Image:

FRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup.

Hi,
I'm deploying a forms 10g application . I'm using Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10.1.2.0.2 under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, along with an Oracle 10g Database on another server. Every time I try testing the form services using http://10.0.4.114:7778/forms/frmservlet it brings out the errorFRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web server log file for detail
Right now, I'm a bit lost. Can anyone please tell me if there is some parameter I have to set, or something I should do to make it work?

I did not make changes to those files. The forms services are working on another server with Red hat Rel 4 and 3 . What I did is to configure a new server with Red Hat Rel 5 , took the backup of all the forms binaries and the HOME and restore on the new server. I did the same thing for a server running rel 4 and it has no issue:

Please find the steps I followed before I run this application:
1. I started the OC4J Forms Server on my machine
2. I started the OracleAS Reports Services (Reports Server) on my machine.
3. Connected to the database and run the Forms Application.
I have tried the following options to solve this error:
- I have re-installed Oracle Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 again and retry calling my Reports application from Oracle Forms. Still the same error
persists.
I have written the following code inside 'WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED' Trigger to call my Oracle Report:
I found that the above error is coming at the following highlighted line below:

Hi ,
I think that this kind of problem persists because of the variety of Forms , Database and maybe OS number-bit versions(32-bit and 64 respectively).
In the past , due to the inequality of number-bit of OS and the Oracle Products , I had many problems.... the import was finished abnormally as the connection to the database was stopped ...

Have you specify relative path or full of weblogic startup script? How's permission for user invoking startup script?
Excerpt from the docs as below:
Startup Script Location: Enter the full path to the startup script that is used to start your BEA WebLogic Server instance.
Have you installed the agent on the admin server instead of the managed server? It should be managed server.
Is this WebLogic clustered environment ? If it is a clustered setup; then you need to follow some specific steps to configure the managed servers. You are better off installing the agent on a managed server and copy the agent changes (CLASSPATH and JAVA_OPTIONS) to all the server instances. Some folks also prefer to copy these changes in commEnv.sh (easy way out) but we do not recommend this route since the server related JAVA_OPTIONS can be specific to each BEA server instance. Please note that the agent installer does not understand the template of admin server script. So, for a clustered environment :
1. Remove the present agent, restore the admin server script.
2. Install the agent on a managed server.
3. If there are more than one managed servers, put the agent startup script related changes manually in each of the managed servers.
4. Also note that you can start managed servers from console or command line. Depending on where you start managed servers, you will have to copy the agent changes to the respective files.
If it is not a clustered environment; follow 1 and 2 only. Could try it out and let us know what are your findings? Jerry

HI to everyone, we are currently working oracle apps 12i custom module, our forms and reports are done completely in Forms/Reports database 10g. we are trying to run the reports using forms in apps(why it has got another history). cut the story short we are calling reports from Forms and we will call the forms in apps
the following code which i have used in 'WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSD'

When I open any form after login the application gives the following error message instead of opening the form:

Suddenly my r12.1.1 on XP; Cygwin, MVS started giving the above error when i tried to open a form. I have ran autoconfig several times with a status of zero but the error persist.
See adformsctl status below

Learn't that the problem relate to a microsoft bug in respect of java pool. this is resolved by going to system registry via regedit
HKLM/SYSTEM/CURRENTCONTROLSYSTEM/CONTROL/SESSIONMANAGER/SUBSYSTEM - windows
Look for windows on the right and edit the binary file in the sharedsection. Look like the following:
%SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows SharedSection=1024,3072,512 Windows=On
SubSystemType=Windows ServerDll=basesrv,1 ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3
ServerDll=winsrv:ConServerDllInitialization,2 ProfileControl=Off MaxRequestThreads=16
Changing the 512 to 1024 or delete it, save and exist.

How do you get this error?
Was this working before? If yes, any changes been done recently?
Have you tried to run AutoConfig and see if it completes successfully?

Hi,
Things were working fine before the weekend but on my return I keep getting an error every time I open a form. I am running OC4J.
The funny thing is I have 2 PC's with the same forms versions installed at the same time and they are both saying the same error. I am running forms version 10.1.2.0.2.
Error:-
frm-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web-server log files for details.
Any ideas?

I did make changes to my formsweb.cfg but all worked initially.
I have not loaded any other web based apps on my PC.

I have install the multinode(2 Node) R12.2 on CentOS 6 with no issues, while launching java forms it is showing "frm-92101 there was a failure in the forms server during startup"
I had this same issue before when I install R12.1.1 so I check log file at $LOG_HOME/ora/10.1.3/opmn/forms_default_group_1/formsstd.out.
I resolved the issue by installing openmotif package,However in 12.2 the file directory changes can you please help to resolve this issue.
Please help me to resolve this issue in 12.2?

This is not a supported OS. The list of supported Linux OS is in (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.2) for Linux x86-64 (Doc ID 1330701.1)).

Is it from the same Linux server? If yes, Linux is not supported as a client tier node -- Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 389422.1)
