Startup stuck, does nothing and no error
Hi,
I'm experiencing something never saw: while trying to startup the instance, the command stuck.
SQL*Plus: Release 11.1.0.6.0 - Production on Mon Feb 16 16:31:26 2009
Copyright (c) 1982, 2007, Oracle. All rights reserved.
Connected to an idle instance.
SQL> startup
no messages, no errors, the instance continues to be down.
I don't really know what I should check!
Any suggestion?

I'm using ASM.
When I created the database, dbca created an spfile on +ARCHIVELOG/EVODB/spfileEVODB.ora.
After some my bad actions I deleted the spfile.
The pfile contains: SPFILE='+ARCHIVELOG/EVODB/spfileEVODB.ora'
I tried to startup the instance with an other pfile, created by dbca during the installation.
The instance starts without problem.
Now my whish is to restore the spfile in the right position, but the command create spfile from pfile creates the spfile into folder +/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db1/dbs+.
I also tried to execute create spfile='ARCHIVELOG/EVODB/spfileEVODB.ora' from pfile+, but the startup hang, it does nothing, it does not write anything in any alert/trace file and it does not raise any error.

First use your Mac's Install/Restore DVD to install an OS & apps. Then upgrade the OS.

When I apply smoothing to a clip, it does nothing and the video frame remains static. As opposed to moving around in order to compensate for my movement, which exposes black edges. That is what I am trying to get. Please help
These are the steps I follow. Import clip > Library > Behaviours > Motion > Stabilize. I then add the stabilize > go to inspector and change method to smooth and finally, analyze. However, it is not doing anything. My Macbook Pro was recently replaced and this is what I recall doing on my previous one, but it doesnt seem to be working for me. Is there a step im missing or something?
Thanks for any help!Smooth is just going to smooth out a little "jitter" or jerkiness in the footage. Unless there is a lot of camera movement, you won't notice much. If you really want to see Motion go to work, change the Method to Stabilize.
BTW, once the footage is analyzed, you can make any changes you want to any of the other parameters - you don't have to re-analyze. I recommend Stabilize with Adjust: Position Scale and Rotation and Borders set to Zoom (depending on the quality of the video) — or you might consider adding a mask to the group the stabilized video is in -
when trying to download it pops up with a window saying with current user i may not be able to do everything and is asking for administrater password or continue with current user? when i click current user it does nothing and i dont know the password

HT201263 iphone4 stopped working, restore does nothing but show error 14
One day my phone just crapped out on me. I tried charging it but nothing works, so I decided to totally factory restore it. only that didnt work and now the phone is stuck on the spple screen. The restore gets to the end and then pops uo error 14 and cancelles the restpre. The phone does absolutely nothing and i am desparite. Please help!

My kidspurchased Littlest Pet Shop for the iPad2. It loads and then does nothing. There is no Report this App button in the top right corner as suggested in App Support. What else can I do?

When i try to 0pen firefox it does nothing and when it does it says it has to close

Yes it would, possibly even brick it.
Have successfully connected my ipod nano with iTunes so looks like the device driver is working.
Can I use my ipod nano USB connector to check?
It is not much help to you, since the device that you need still not recognized.
Anyway looks like I may have to swallow the loss of data. Have set-up a call for tomorrow with Apple support so will wait until after this before doing the factory restore!

Purchased Mountain Lion and the initial download had an error and now it's stuck doing nothing
I was on 10.6.8 and purchased Mountain Lion. It started downloading and when I came back to check on it, the icon was gone from the dock. Looked under purchases in the App Store and it said "An error has occured". It would not let me download again there. Went to the main page in the App Store again and clicked to purchase/install. Got the you already purchased this message and I could click the download button here. Got the Mountain Lion icon to drop into my dock again but it has "Waiting" when I roll over it. I have restarted my computer and am only able to do the same actions I described above. Please help.

Itunes 64-bit on Windows & 64-bit does nothing but give errors!
I've been trying to connect Iphone 3g 4.0.1 on Windows7 64-bit since last 5 days! Tried almost all the tips found on internet regarding this issue and none worked! At first simply downloaded the latest iTunes 9 (64-bit). It didnt work at all and I ended up seeing different errors. Then read this;

Tried that too and still getting nothing but errors. In last 5 days I encountered the following variety of errors;
Device Manager -> Portable Device -> MTP Usb Devie -> Device cannot start (Code 10)
Device Manager -> Portable Device -> Apple Iphone -> Device cannot start (Code 10)
iTunes -> iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)
iTunes -> iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000023)
iTunes -> iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000035)
iTunes -> iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an invalid response was received from the device (0xE8000001)
I even tried programs like iPhone Explorer, DiscAid, iFun-box etc. None worked. And now looking for a final answer. Will it work on Windows 7 or not? I am too tired of trying now.I don't know if this will help, but folks on Windows systems (typically laptops) with PM55 chipsets (like their brethen with P55 chipsets and other chipsets in the 5 series and 3400 series) have been reporting a lot of trouble with iPod/iPhone syncing (in particular, 0xE0000065 error messages, but the symptoms may vary).
In cases where no BIOS updates are available, and the BIOS does not have a user configurable C-STATE setting, some success has been achieved by using an old trick ... changing the power management settings on the USB Host controllers, as per the following document:

Photomerge on PS CC 2014 does nothing and goes away after clicking go
I can open the Photomerge window and choose the images I would like to merge. When I'm ready and click go the window closes and then nothing happens. I am running an iMac 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i5 with 8 GB of ram. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 855M 1024 MB graphics card. I am running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.1. Anyone ideas of how to fix this would be much appreciated!
Nothing happens at all? What is your workflow? Are you trying to run the Photomerge script from Bridge?
It sounds like PS is hung up somehow, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to try resetting preferences
Reset Preferences
Windows — Hold down Shift Ctrl Alt immediately after starting Photoshop
Mac — Hold down Shift Cmd Opt immediately after starting Photoshop
If still stuck, you can bypass the script by loading the images into Photoshop layers (Also from Bridge). Select all layers and go Edit > Auto align layers followed by Edit > Auto blend layers with seamless tones and colors checked. -
WHen I connect my iPhone 5C to my laptop containing my iTunes Library, nothing happens for a couple of minutes and then I get an error message saying phone timed out. Can anyone shed any light on this problem please?

When it is in safe mode the wheel just spins and nothing happens. When reset firefox is selected nothing happens. I have erased firefox and redownloaded it many times and the same thing occurs.
Can you bring up the Profile Manager to create a new profile?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Server 2009 R2 Stuck Installing Updates and Unexpected Error Refreshing Server Manager
I have a 2008 R2 server that is running but has issues when restarting or trying to install IE 10. I ran the System Readiness Tool and it fixed a number of issues but there are 5 remaining errors in the Component store that will not repair automatically.

I tried to run a SFC but if failed because there is a repair operation that needs a reboot. When rebooting, the server tries to install a number of updates but the update fail and the server backs them out and then comes up. It goes through this
loop every restart. There is a pending.xml file that has much in it and I will copy at the end of this post.
I moved the pending.xml out of the winsxs folder and tried to run the SFC again and now it fails with: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation".
Checking windows updates shows that the IE 10 upgrade for Server 2008 R2 failed a number of times. I tried to manually install it and it fails. I was going to go to the server manager and see if I could disable IE and then re-enable it (this
has worked on W7 pcs in the past) but the Server manager aborts with "Unexpected Error refreshing Server Manager: Catastrophic failure (Exception from HResult: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)).
