Static Information on all Reports

We want to change to Crystal Reports. But we want to know, if it possible to reach following goal:
On our printouts we have some informations that we will administrate on a central place. This information is our letter head and logo as example.
If our email is changend then we want to change the information on ONE place and the change will be see on ALL reports. We dind´t wont to open every report to change the letter-head.
How can we reach that? Is that possible in Crystal Reports?

Hello,
You can put your LOGO or Image at a centralized location and give that path in "Graphic Location"
of crystal reports.
If image changes from that location, the change will appear in Crystal as well.

    I have installed a full licensed version of crystal reports server 2008 onto a windows server 2003 virtual server.
    I am getting the following error message when trying to run some reports when i am logged in as the adminstrator
    'The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect.'
    Some reports work and some dont, I use the same login information for all reports, same username and same password, same machine datasource and all the reports  run fine in crystal designer 2008
    The only difference i can see is that the error mainly occurs with reports that use stored procedures, the ones that dont work fine.
    I not sure how to resolve this problem as i have tested the login and the datasoure and it works fine, just not through crystal reports server

    Further to this i've realized that this only happens with reports which have been updated to use a stored procedure from a query file. And the reports dont use any repository objects

    Hi,
    I tried to start seeding again but it is at same status. I will try again and hopefully it will get resolved.
    But, yesterday i ran in to the most complex issue i have ever seen with Exchange.
    There was a unexpected power cut at our datacentre due to which both the nodes went down.
    After that both the nodes came up. But the all 3 databases were dismounted.
    Therefore, i ran Eseutil /mh resulting dirty shutdown.
    I was able to repair 2 databases.
    But the 3rd one was not mounting with below error.
    Microsoft Exchange Error
    Failed to mount database 'Mailbox Database'.

    I was able to mount database somehow. There are 7 User mailboxes (Tier 1) on this database.
    All emails sent to the users in this database are bouncing back with the below error.
    This storage groups holds the mailboxes of my Senior Managements. And their mailboxes are down for almost 20 Hrs. I am spinning my head since yesterday but not able to find any fix. Can you please guide me in this concern.

  • Information on the reports that have run over a certain period of time

    Hi everybody,
    do you know any report (programme, table or other object) that provides with the information on what reports have been called by the users over a certain period of time in the past? I am especially interested in the reports in the customer name space (z-reports). Once there was a programme called RBE (Reverse Business Engineer) that could give this information, but it doesn't function in ECC 5.0 & ECC 6.0 anymore and no longer supported by SAP.

  • How to list all reports created in webi - export to excel or print

    We are using BO 3.1, is there a way to list all reports and print or export the information to excel?  instead of navigating through each folder structure.

    If you have auditing enabled in the environment, please login to InfoView and select "Folder --> Auditor --> en --> Document Information Detail' refresh this report it will give you the details you are looking for.
    Then click on export into excel option.

    all reports stopped working. Then i open report and click "add object" or "add group" i get error:

  • How to design static information table

    Hi gurus,
    I was trying to find a solution by googling etc but not sucessful.
    I am developing a mail letter report which will require a pretty word style table holding static informaiton. I can't find any to use HTML code. my current implementation is coping and pasting the MS Word table into OLE object. It looks ok in design view. But if I print the report, the result is not as good as with MS Word.
    Is there any way I can design static content table( this is not database table)?
    My CR version is 11.
    My Report: 1st page: customer details. some information such as names will be fetched from DB.
                     2nd page: static information (MS word style pretty table) for customers.
                     Both pages will be printed in one piece of paper (duplex).

    Hello to everyone,
    I am creating a simple report using Crystal Report in .NET 2005. I try to insert a static picture in the report but when I browse it through the web it didn't show at all. When I get the address of the picture it says http://liezl:8080/CrystalImageHandler.aspx?dynamicimage=cr_tmp_image_c31338e7-14d2-45f5-a4f9-29866febb34d.png. The error is "The Resource cannot be found. /CrystalImageHandler.aspx"

    I have the same problem.
    The problem started after upgrading to CR XI Release 2, the image is not shown through crystal reports viewer in the browser.
    However, I can see the image while printing, in preview mode and in export which means the general path is ok
    the image is there but there is only an internal crystal report viewer issue that started in 11.5 version (in 11 version the same code worked)

  • ADS Credential Rights Issue. All reports checks successful...

    I am having an ADS issue in my EP production environment. When users click on any adobe form, it gives 2 popup, stating
    1) u201CThis document enabled extended feature in Adobe Reader. The use of the extended features has expiredu201D
    2) u201CThis document enabled extended feature in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended feature is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document.u201D
    And it displays the below errors in the log.
    Log location:--> /usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log
    1) com.adobe.ProcessingException: Required stream: "PDFDocument" not found in request OR its length is zero.
    2) com.adobe.ProcessingException: Credential login error while applying usage rights to PDF: /var/tmp/adobewa_EPP_14070851/DM-4025786556068948812.dir/DM-6606423593397490494.tmp
    Specific error information:
    error while logging into credential '^0'
    GeneralError: Operation failed.
    SecurityHandler.login:-1:
    Could not create temporary file
    Troubleshooting Steps I have followed
    Step 1: I observed the u201CCredential Keyu201D in Visual Admin got expired.
    Action: I sent a request to SAP Market place to request a new credential key and got a new key.
    Resolution: The credential key was applied to all server nodes, all required ADS service were restarted and u201CWASu201D was restarted.
    Step 2: Ran reports (FP_TEST_00, FP_PDF_TEST_00, FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE, and FP_TEST_IA_01)
    Action: Ran reports in se38
    Resolution: All reports were successful.
    Step 3: Followed all instructions for the below links

  • Are subtemplates used for static information only?

    Hello,
    Subtemplates can have some runtime information but are subtemplates only to display static information like company logo or terms & Conditions?
    Lets suppose, I have a template1 which displays all emplyoyees info from the employee database1, and i have a template 2 which is displaying information about all employees from another employee database 2 .Now, I want to use template 1 as a subtemplate in template 2.
    1. Is it possible?
    2. How to load the xml data in this case for both the data bases?

    Your data has to be in single xml,
    option1:
    so you have to create a single big query, which will have these combined together.
    option2:
    if you are using EE, then you can use concatenated datasource from the different query. it can come from different databases.
    then , you can define the template one table as a subtemplate with <?template:?> syntax and by passing the parameter of the xml context to that.
    and then you can call the template with call: syntax in the template 2.

  • The migrated Crystal Report throws "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect" error

    Product version - BI4.1 SP03
    OS - Windows 2008 R2
    CMS Database - Oracle 11g
    Java Application Server - Tomcat7
    [ISSUE]
    Using the Upgrade Management Tool to completely migrate a BOXI3.1 SP3+FP3.6 to BI4.1 SP03.  The reporting database from both BOXI3.1 and BI4.1 are the same and so is the database logon credential.
    When viewing and refresh a migrated Crystal Report, it throws "The viewer could not process an event. The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect. [] ---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]" error in both BI Launchpad and "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect" in scheduled job.
    [STEPS TAKEN]
    - Update the Database Configuration with the SAME Oracle database password in CMC and "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect" issue goes away.
    I search the SAP SMP and SCN forum and found no reference on this UMT and Crystal Report database logon problem.  Hope any of you have seen this problem and share if there is an ADAPT for it.

    Hi,
    The BI4.1 SP03 server and client and Crystal Report 2013 SP03 developer and Crystal Report for Enterprise 4.1 SP03 are all installed onto this Windows 2008 R2 server.
    I am able to open the migrated report from CMS repository in Crystal Report 2013 SP03 developer and am able to refresh it with database logon password provided.  After save it back to the Enterprise, the database logon password field for this report in CMC becomes empty so that I have to enter the database password and choose "Use same database logon as when report is run" when viewing and scheduling report.
    What is interesting to me is that the UMT seems to migrate the report along the database logon password because I can see the encrypted password in the report database logon property in CMC.  The workaround is to reenter the database logon password in the report database logon property in CMC.
    With this said, there are hundreds of the Crystal reports and the workaround would consume lots of manual work by update each report's database logon password in CMC.
    For other customers who have more crystal reports, I wonder if there is an automated way to update the crystal report's database logon password on BI4.1 or if this is an isolated incident on my new BI4.1 SP03 environment.
    I run UMT in command line to perform livetolive migration, and my steps are listed below

    Can someone please tell me what the following date/time fields mean? e.g. when it is executed, changed, data captured?

    Check if all your reports based on InfoCubes and are the statistics ON for those cubes or reports?

  • Checkboxes in BI Publisher not showing up for all reports

    Hi everyone,
    I followed the instructions (uploading fonts, checking the checkbox font property e.t.c) for displaying checkboxes (without the diamond shape) in my BI Publisher reports. It worked for 1 report and still does. Unfortunately the new reports I have uploaded still display the diamond shape. I find this very odd even though followed exactly the same process for all of my reports.
    Is there a way to make sure that checkboxes display properly for all reports? Could there be a mistake I have made and that I am missing out on. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

    Thanks for that. I wonder how to prove that the caching worked or that is has been done.
    I noticed the .TBL files in the cache directory but that does not tell me much. Using OBI Administration and looking at the cache on the physical layer
    did not help me either understand how all reports in my dashboard are now cached by running the ibot at midnight.
    Out of the BI Answers, Delivers and Dashboards manual:
    "NOTE: The Oracle BI Server maintains its own cache. This cache is separate from the Oracle BI
    Presentation Services cache.
    When you select a specific dashboard or request, Oracle BI Presentation Services checks its cache
    to determine if the identical results have recently been requested. If so, Oracle BI Presentation
    Services returns the most recent results, thereby avoiding unnecessary processing by the Oracle BI
    Server and the back-end database. If not, the request is issued to the Oracle BI Server for
    processing."
    So basically I want to know how I can see that BI Presentations Services has
    really cached the reports in my dashboard i.e. if my ibot works

    The Webintelligence users in our environment usuallly use drill filters in their document's reports. We'd like to find a way to change the drill filters' values of all reports when one value is selected. I mean, we need a work around to change the drill filters of all reports at the same time.
    We are using Business Objects XI 3.1 (a lot of webintelligence documents available, over than 2500).
    Does someone know a way to do that? I've already looked for that a lot, but I couldn't find anything.
