Static LOV displays in Sorted order

Hi
Did anyone have come across using Static LOVs displays the display value in the Alphabetical sorted order for a radio button? Any resolution for this problem, I can change to Dynamic SQL using union with the dual table, just curious to know

I have a document library , I am storing document sets on it.
28326 items are there in the library.
I have configured sort on Name columns. Initially items are displaying in sorted order like (A,B,C,D,E...)
Now Items are not displaying in a sorted order it is displaying like (A, B,C,D,E,A,C...) like this.
Please help me on this sorting issue.

Are the documents displaying in your image inside the document sets? If so then your sets (folders) are displaying in alphabetical order and the documents inside the sets are displaying in alphabetical order. This is what i would expect.

CCM Display List Sort Order

Hello All,
when the CCM search screen is brought into the SRM the items are displayed without any default sort order. is there a way to configure a specific order when the list is first displayed? i know that clicking on the column will enable sorting, but i would like to know if there is any setting that can predetermine the sort order before the list is displayed in SRM.

Greg: there is no Customizing setting you can control the sort order with. I feel your pain :). Short of modifying the system, the only way you may be able to achieve the desired functionality is BAdI /CCM/CSE_ENRICHMENT.

Interactive sort order display

How can I display the order in which the user has clicked the report columns using interactive sort feature?
If I apply the interactive sort on two columns and user sorts first Column1 and then (holding Shift key) sorts Column2, then it is different sort order than when he clicks Column2 and then Column1.
Unfortunately in both these situations, the column headers look the same. You can't tell which column used clicked first (which column is first in the sort order).
I want to display the sort order before the tablix:
- sort order: Column1, Column2
or
- sort order: Column2, Column1

According to your description, you have two columns with interactive sort in your report. Now you want to display the sequence of sorting so that you can see which column is sorted first. Right?
In Reporting Service, we don’t have any variable or function to record some kind of event like you click on interactive sort icon. That means we can’t catch this click action so that it’s impossible to display the column names based on sorting order. So
currently, your goal can’t be achieved.

Why is manual sort order disabled in album view

I created an album and added pictures. By default, the photos are displayed in sort order by date. I'd like to manually order them. However, when I select the sort order drop down box, the option to manually order the photos is disabled. How can I enable it or why is it disabled.

It is not available because you have yet to create a manual sort for that Album, and so there is no "Manual Sort" available. Create a manual sort manually (re-arrange the photos). Then the "Manual Sort" menu choice should become available.
The menu switches between the existing sorts.
I didn't design it. This makes sense to engineers, but not so much to users. Any time you manually re-arrange your images, the sort is automatically changed to "Manual". Aperture remembers the last manual sort; it is always available via the sort selector.

Update of static LOV data display condition is not reflected in comp export

Hi team,
here is another possible little bug in 4.0.1.
I updated the conditional display for one entry in a static LOV.
This change is correctly reported in page 4000:4111 in the last updated column, but it is not reflected in the more general last updated column for the entire LOV component (page 4000:4110).
This affects also the component export where the updated static LOV does not appear in the first places if i sort the report by the most recently updated column (page 4000:688).

1. I am currently on SBO 2005A PL 20, I've checked the issue of the "last purchase price" not being refreshed in the BOM on PL 36 .... Incidentally, the system behaves in the exact same fashion. I heard I can force the data refresh by using a format search, do you know how to do it?
2. If I don't use "last purchase price", instead using "My price list", thus I can use "Update parent items globally" to update the BOM. To achieve this goal, you suggest to use DTW, which I am still trying to figure out, meanwhile I've checked the SAP SDK and found the table ITT1 contains a column "PriceList" , which flags the certain price list being used. Can I reset this field to flag my price list without affecting data integrity?

Say that I have created a static lov 'lov_colors' with the following values:
display-value return value
red 1
blue 2
green 3
And i have a table 'object' wich has the following fields :
object_name varchar2(100);
object_color number;
I want to make a report on the table object but in stead of displaying the number of the color,
I want to display the name of the color that is in Lov_colors
I hope that my question is clear.

OTL Timecard LOV Sort Order

Hello,
We have an LOV field on our OTL timecard called Rate Up. It is a custom timecard created by someone who is long gone. We would like it sorted in a particular order. We identified a database view that is likely the source of the data, but adding an ORDER BY in the view did not work.
This is probably really simple when one knows how. How can we put a sort order on this LOV?

I found a validation set named XXEP_OTL_RATEUP_CODE_TK, but it is already sorted. We use this validation set on the Oracle Forms style OTL Timekeeper screens, but not on the web self service screens, where our sort problem exists.
I enabled diagnostics without any useful information, but a trace gave me the following sql statement which uses hxc_cui_custom4_v. I added an order by into the view, cleared cache, logged off and on, tried a different PC with a different user, but no luck sorting. So where is this select specified, so I can add an order by?

Sort order vs display order

Would someone please tell me what the difference is between sort order and display order? I'm referring to how my contacts list on iPhone 4S.

Probably because I don't "sort" my contacts, but I don't understand what that is. Of course I know what "display contacts" means (that is how they are shown, as first name first or last name first), but what is an example of why someone would want to sort their contacts?

Changing sort order in Finder to display folder first

In almost every other release of OS X there was a tweak to edit the frameworks so that you could have finder, when sorting by "Kind/Type"you could display folders first. Well of course they broke that in Leopard.
Has anyone discovered a way to reinstate this nice little feature so that folders don't appear at the bottom of the list view but at the TOP like PathFinder?
For those that are curious here WAS the "tweak" (go to System: Library: Frameworks: ApplicationServices.framework: Versions: A: Frameworks: LaunchServices.framework: Versions: A: Resources. Whew. Within that folder, you’ll see the English.lproj folder. Highlight it, and then select File: Get Info. In the Ownership & Permissions area, click on the Details triangle, click on the lock icon, and then click on the Owner pop-up menu and set it to your user name (enter your password if asked). Leave this window open; you’ll be changing it back in just a minute.
Inside the English.lproj folder is a file named Localized.strings. Drag it onto TextEdit. Find the line that reads "Folder" = "Folder"; and insert a space before the F in the second Folder.)

there is no way to change the sort order in column-view. This was under discussion since the very first release of MacOS X but never made it into any one of the releases.

The way I did it I used "AT END OF " statement and added my amount to a
variable and then move my variable in work area and then modified your
internal table from work area transporting that field or depending on
your requirement that you need to add a separate line for totals append
the internal table which you are going to use it for first display. Then
after the set_table_for_first_display I added the alv_build_sort
criteria. And call method alv_list->set_sort_criteria exporting the
internal table i_sort.

Groups are suppressed and fields are placed in the detail the line. I have a request to group by Customer name with selected product ID's listed or vice versa. My quandry is how do I accomodate the descriptive fields in the page header since the user can select any number of combinations using the sort order parameter. Sure, right now they are only looking at customer and product ID but let's face it, that requirement could change in the future. Seems simple enough but it's been awhile since I've touched reports and my brain is fuzzy. Is what I'm trying to do possible? Crystal XI (11.0.0.1282)

I was overthinking the problem. The report was already sorting on customer or product based on user selection. I placed the customer ID/Name field and the Product ID field into group one and checked the underlay following section box in section expert. This is will work fine for our purposes.

Radiogroup static LOV only displays the first label.

I have a simple static LOV for a radiogroup item, but it won't show the 2nd label. It is the second radio group item on the page and the first works fine.
2nd LOV:
STATIC2:Yes;1,No;2
Any suggestions, please?

The first LOV happens to use the escape character of a bar STATIC2(|,;) because I have numbers with commas in the label (e.g., $5,000).
If I put the 2nd LOVE before the first by changing the sequence, it works, but I don't want it before the one with the escape character.

Hierarchy display Sort Order setting "As in hierarchy" in BEx not working.

We are using SAP BW 7.0
In a Query the property for Sort Oder of Hierarchy is set as "As in the hierarchy" for WBS_ELEMT.
Example data as per R3:

The setting of sort order by"KEY" with "Ascending" is working fine.
The setting of sort order by"KEY" with "Descending" is working fine.
The setting of sort order by"Description" with "Ascending" is working fine.
The setting of sort order by"Description" with "Descending" is working fine.
BUT the setting of sort order by "As in the hierarchy" is not effected.
In other words, i am able to set it and save & run. But the result does not have the effect. It holds the previous setting.
Is there any pre-requisite to have this setting.

frontend patch 12.01 for 7x tools and gui 7.10
and
frontend patch 9 for 3x tools and gui 7.10
