Static noise w New Ipad

Whenever I connect the New Ipad to my pc..my speaker making static noise.
It's really annoying. it shouldn't be heard at all.
I have Itouch too..but the noise only with the Ipad.

Hi,
Is it like a buzzing or vibrating kind of sound?
My iPad 2 makes a noise like that every so often but mine makes the weird noise whenever it should make a noise. eg. lock sounds, typing etc. I have no idea what it is though.
Does yours only make the noise only when being pluged into a computer or whenever the iPad makes a sound like mine?
Not really much help sorry, just asking a question.

when i take a picture with the new ipad why does the picture have noise in it but when i look at pictures online the photos are perfect

Because both cameras have different resolutions.  The camera on the back of your Ipad (3rd gen.) is 5 megapixels; while the camera in front (used mainly for Facetime, etc.) is only 0.3 megapixels.  Hope this helps.

Is the static sound noticeable always, or is it more when the volume is up?
Does the static noise seem to vary depending on what you are doing? (moving the mouse cursor, for example)
Was the static noise present immediately when you first powered the notebook on, or was it after using it a bit, or going online?
There is only the one driver on the site for Windows 8.1, but it may be worth reinstalling it.

  • Static electric on the new iPad when charging

When I'm charging the new iPad, touching on the back cover will give static electric. Would it damage the device in long run?

Was gifted an Ipad missing an AC Adapter and cable. Bought new cable and adapter. Made the mistake of buying and using a 5 Volt adapter. Made the mistake of using the Ipad when it was being charged (plugged into the electric outlet). Made the mistake of returning and picking up the Ipad after walking across a rug. Blew out that 5 Volt adapter which no longer would charge another suitable (5 Volt correct) device. Bought 10 Volt adapter which would not charge my Ipad as well.
iOS devices charge of USB specification that means 5 Volts ONLY.
A 10 Volt charger would damage the device.
I believe you are confusing Watts & Volts.
Many USB chargers have a higher amperage (that means they can supply more current, not Volts). That translates to more Watts (overall power output).
It allows iPads to charge faster because they have more battery to fill.
The standard iPad charger is 10Watts (the spec isn't visible on Apple.com, so this is from external sources).
iPhones usually have chargers that supply 5Watts
    The safest option…
Use an Apple charger that is rated for the device… as you can see Apple sell 5 Watt & 12 Watt supplies for iPads
http://store.apple.com/us/ipad/ipad-accessories/power (search for iPhone chargers etc).
None of this helps you speedgo, sorry. I don't know if static could cause issues. I would move it to another wall outlet, try other rooms - if it still happens take it to an Apple store & ask them for advice it may also happen at the store if the device or charger is faulty.

  • Does your Ipad speakers make a static noise?

    Hi world,
I am curious to hear from others about whether or not they are getting a static hiss from their iPad when any system notification sounds or music is paused.
You may need to place your ear up to the speaker but mine is audible in a quiet room from around 2 feet and is rather annoying.
I visited a genius bar and they confirmed the static but the replacement iPad also had this noise so they were unwilling to proceed any further.
Am curious as to whether its just mine or other people have issues.
If you have had problems - Could you advise how they were dealt with?
    Many thanks for your time,
    Fractal

Wow, these must be some E.T. iPads out thereplaying "perfect sounds" without this hiss in them (they must have some automatic-cleaning feature on, LOL).
The thing is that samples used for notification events are not perfectly clear and they have this "hissing" noise (not very loud though) in the background, basically "built-in" the sound samples. Mine does too, and every single one at Apple store (display units) does the same. Trust me I checked it myself because I was also curious to find out. Apple store is located just 500 feet from where I live, so going there costed me nothing.
True, this hissing background noise should not be heard from a far, only when you put your iPad's speaker very close to your ear (almost closing your ear-hole), and only immediately after playing those specific notification sounds. Hissing could last from few seconds, up to almost a minute, depending how close cropped those sounds were. I guess someone did a sloppy job at Apple when editing these sounds.
Don't worry, it's not your hardware that's defective, it's Apple's software. They could easily fix it if they clean up those system sounds and update everything with next OS update.

  • Ipad air 2 static noise

    Hello,
I've got a question. Whenever I click on the address bar in Safari with headphones plugged in, or just while randomly browsing, I am hearing some static noises. Is that normal?
This also happens in other apps too. Tried different head phones. I am having a terrible first experiance as this is my first apple product. Thinking of getting a galaxy tab... I have allready exchanged my first one cause it kept popping...

Going by what you wrote in your second post, are you maybe hearing the Lock Sounds? Check under Settings/Sounds/Lock Sounds. If this setting is ON (or the button is green), turn it off, then try to reproduce the sound again. Having this setting turned on will make a sound (supposed to sound like lock being closed or clicked) when the screen is locked/unlocked with the Sleep/Wake button or when a compatible Smart Cover is used which will unlock/lock the device when it's opened/closed.

  • Why is the sound of my new ipad cutting out intermittently and what does Apple recommend to solve the problem in lieu of any updates?

Why is the sound of my new ipad cutting out intermittently and what does Apple recommend to solve the problem in lieu of any updates? All of a sudden without changing any settings, the audio on my NEW ipad cuts in and out on applications/ games, keypad noise and lock sounds. The rocker button only seems to work while the sound is intermittently being heard before, after a few seconds of noise not doing anything when sound goes off.
This is highly frustrating as I've noticed others posting about such issues as far back as April. Anybody had the same thing happen to them? Is this likely software (ios6) or hardware issue? What are the solutions Apple???

Apple has no physical stores of their own in Dubai, so unless you mean that you purchased from the online Apple Store for the UAE, you purchased from a dealer, who may or may not have been authorized. You can check the expiration date of the warranty on your iPad yourself by entering in the serial number here:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
If it does indeed show the warranty has expired, then what you need to do from here will depend on who you purchased the iPad from and when you really did purchase it. Perhaps you actually purchased it in August and are just misremembering? Check your receipt. If you confirm that you did purchase within the last calendar year, tell us exactly where you got it and we can probably offer advice.
    Regards.

  • New iPad 3rd Generation display not coming on.

I have had this issue twice now and can't find a solution.  The first time my display went out I couldn't get any response by holding down the power and home button so I restored it from itunes to factory settings.  That did nothing until miraculously a power and home reset somehow brought my Apple logo up and the device was functioning again.  A week later now and the same issue has arose.  Except this time I haven't been able to get the display back on.  I repeated my steps of restoring it from itunes and trying a home and power button reset.  The strange thing is that I can plug the ipad into the wall or my computer and it makes the charging ring to let me know I am plugged to a power source about every 15 to 30 seconds.  Also if I keep pressing the power button every once in a while I will hear the screen off click noise.  Any suggestions on fixes or anyone else having the same issue.
Just to re-iterate I know about holding the power and home button down for 10 seconds to reset the device.  That does nothing.  You can kind of see the screen turn on a different shade of black every once in a while.
    Any help would be great,
    Adam

  • BOSE Mk1 Soundock & 1st Gen iPod Touch + Electric/Static Noise**

I have recently bought a Bose Mk1 Soundock for my 1st Gen iPod Touch, at first worked fine, brilliant lil gadet, but then it started to generate a reeeely high pitched electric/static noise when the battery was fully charged when music was both on or off, i returned and got an exchange for a brand new bose which didnt solve the problem so i can only assume its the ipod, so i put in a service request with apple, off it went and came back 'un-repaired' as apple 'could not reproduce the problem/s'?? since then it has started generating this noise regardles of battery level or music on/off and is reely, reely, reely annoying and is rendering the unit virtually unusable with the bose, am i the only one who can hear this or is anyone else having/had the same problem??!?

    Hey
    Is it this noise:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqeggo7DSGg
If so, I'm having the same problem. I've emailed B&W support about it. It doesn't occur without the ipod docked. Doesn't seem to be a problem with other docks though, so it could be fixable with a firmware update. In fact, it wasn't ever a problem with the original Zeppelin firmware, only after the update.

  • Connecting my new iPads to WiFi

I'm an educator and my school recently purchased new iPads. Thus far I've had no problem setting them up, that is until yesterday. There are five that will not connect to our WiFi. Our access points are giving off excellent signals yet that will not connect. The only way I can get them to connect temporally is to us a static IP address. They work for a short period of time, but then its back to square one. Does anyone have any suggestions beside sending them back to apple?
    Thank you

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Why do my new ipad pictures seem so grainy?

I thought that the camera for the new ipad was supposed to be fantastic... my pictures do not impress me.  Neither does the video - it looks grainy, even in highly lit areas.  I'm seeing other people online post videos of spectacular pictures and videos they're taking with the new ipad.  Am I missing something?  There are no options for the camera?
    Also, where is the flash?
I really want to know why my camera ***** so badly!

    Xentago-
Normally grain is electronic noise caused by extreme amplification required for images in low light.  Turning on more lights should help.  However, if yours has the grain where there is a lot of light, your iPad may be defective.
I suggest you take the iPad, along with some examples of grainy pictures, and show it to an Apple Store Genius.  If the Genius agrees, you may get a replacement iPad.
I don't think the iPad has any kind of flash.  Even with the new iPad's higher image resulution in its rear camera, I do not think it is as good as a digital camera.  With a digital camera, you get optical zoom in addition to a real flash.

    mellosteve,
This isn't a known issue with the device so I am surprised that you are having these issues. When you first noticed the issue, was anything else done on the device at that time? Any new apps added, etc? Let's try to put the phone into Safe Mode and test. If it works while in Safe Mode, we will know it could be a 3rd party app causing the static. • Tactic3D Alpha Static Noise / Sound Distortion

I recently bought a Tactic3D Alpha and I'm having some problems with it. At first, when talking to my friends on Skype, they kept telling me that they could barely hear me (mic volume was at 100%), then I saw the "new" firmware and installed it (before installing it, it seemed that the one I had was more recent, but I'm not sure, since they don't specify any date, only a hexadecimal(I think) version).
After that, I didn't notice any volume improvement of the mic (my friends kept telling me that I was talking "inside a well"). But a bit later I started noticing that when some sound (Windows sounds, music, etc.) was playing there was always some static noise. In some cases, on some songs with lots of bass, the sound even got distorted. The static noise is even more noticeable when using earphones connected through the usb soundcard.
Even when using the default Windows 7 (x64) driver (the one that is automatically installed) this issue happens. It also happens on Ubuntu 10.04. So it makes me believe it's either a firmware or a hardware problem.
I'm not sure if it was the firmware update that started this problem, but I don't remember noticing any static noise before the update.
    Firmware Version I have now: D0_01_21 .
I don't remember exactly what was the version of the firmware the came on it.
Is there any other firmware available that I can try and see if it fixes my problem, even if it's older than this one?
Using the headset connected to my onboard soundcard (a Realtek one) works fine. Mic volume is decent and no static noise / distortion is noticeable. The only drawback is that I can't use the enhancements that the USB soundcard of the Tactic3D Alpha offers.
