Statistic for the Portal

Hello, all.
Im using the EP Netweaver, version (EP - 6.0.10.0.0, J2EE - 6.40 PatchLevel 89291.313) and I dont know where to find the Statistic for the Portal (example, number off user log on the Portal, number off times that one user log on the portal, etc.

Dear all,
I need to develop a Remote enabled FM for the Portal application. The requirement is to pass the output( few fileds) of MC.1 Transaction to the portal.The issue is whether to write our own logic in the function module or is there any alternative way.

Yes you will have to create a Z function module.
Instead of declaring the function module as normal function module in the attributes tab, mention it as remote function module.
Also when giving import and export parameters select the pass value check box.
This might solve your query.

Migration a site for the portal

Hi,
I am migrating a site for the portal.
The size of the site is 30 MB.
I created a zip containing the whole site inside for unzip of the portal.
the problem is that the portal joins during the unzip.
does some exist restriction with relationship to that?

This is a sample template which explicitly was not implemented to support Library Services. The OOTB sample application in which this template lives does not have Library Services enabled on the repository. You are free to take this sample and modify it to suite your needs, either for learning or to modify to meet your requirements. The template was amply commented so that you can follow the ideas and implementation.

Can we have two different logon screens for the Portal?
We should split the Logon application in two different applications:
Login # 1
should be read a DataSource.XML reading the Active Directory (Microsoft), to read-only the profiles from the AD, and block some IP address range.
Login # 2
should be read a DataSource.XML reading the Portal user only
Is this possible?

SMD Wizard Setup for the Portal-solution

Hi!
I would like to set up Diagnostics via SMD Wizard for the portal solution.
The problem of the execution is all the 12 steps were ended without success.
The error by first 4 (all of type: HTTP) is:
P4 port is unknown. System cannot be set up.
If I go back I can see that P4 port is setting as "0".
Can some one help me to solve this problem?

I do not undertand you, by running the URL, I gave to you, you should have:
version 1.0
J2EE19192200
J2EE     host     50100     LB=1
J2EES     host     50101     LB=1
P4     host     50104     LB=1

P4HTTP     host     50105     LB=1
JC_host_SM9_01
SDM     host     50118
then P4 -> is 50104.
You need to adapt it the managed wizard.
New version of the setup is availalbe in http://service.sap.com/diagnostics with information about the wizard.

What is the default password for the Portal User in 9i AS Release 2? I'm assuming this is the equivalent user to the Portal30 user in 3.0.9?

The default password for the Portal user in the same password as ias_admin. This would be defined at install time through the Oracle Universal Installer. However, if you're asking about identifying the Portal schema password in the database, you can login to the Directory Manager(assuming you're using Windows)and login as
cn=orcladmin
password: (ias_admin password)
Click on (entry management)=>(cn=OracleContext)=>(cn=Products)=>(cn=IAS)=>cn=Infrastructure Databases => ReferenceName=sid:host=>ResourceName=Portal. Click on the entry and look at the orclpasswordattribute.
Incidentally, you can also find the orasso password by checking the ResourceName=orasso.
Note:198800.1 on metalink would be a good resource to follow.

Using a custom login page for the portal

Hi all,
I'm currently doing a migration from Plumtree 4.5WS to Plumtree 5.0.4. In the current 4.5WS portal, I'm catering to 3 different login mechanisms due to time-lags in migration of my users' workstations. The 3 mechanisms are:
1) Smart Card Reader on Windows 95 using TLS (uses a client side ActiveX)
2) Smart Card Reader on Windows XP using SSL (uses client side ActiveX)
3) Java PKI Card on Windows XP using SSL (uses server side scripting)
To cater to the above, we've made customisations to login.asp and dologin.asp and also added a few scripts of our own.
I now need to migrate these over to Plumtree 5.0 as well. I've thought of 2 ways to do this:
1) Doing a custom view replacement of the Login View. This however has limitations as I'm not sure how the codes for the above 3 mechanisms will come in, especially 3), which involves server side scripting.
2) Creating a custom login and exit page. This is probably a much more feasible solution in my case as it allows me to freely create my login pages and exit pages accordingly to cater for the above. However to do this, I need to be able to customize the Log In and Log Off links on the Portal Banner in order to point these to my own login and exit pages.
Any ideas what is the best (or correct) way to do this?

AFAIK only one login.jsp is called.
But you can include logic into that one JSP file.
If referer = portal.company.com THEN
else
This way you can create different look and feel for different virtual hosts.
Login portlets have the disadvantage that https is not supported

Field name for the portal field

Portal Gurus,
We have implemented Netweaver IDM for Password self service. As part of this we hooked up multiple systems including portal. The user master for portal is AD. There are couple of ways users can reset their passwords.,
1. Forgot password link in portal logon page (this will initialize IDM guided procedure for the reset)
2. Administrative reset in AD directly (there is a tool called password hook which intercepts the password send it to IDM and sync it back to target systems)
3. CtrlAltDel (same as the second)
When we use the first method password gets changes successfully and also it changes the field value ""Date of Last Password Change"" to current date so portal knows when to enforce the password expiration security policy.
But for the methods 2 & 3, the password gets changed successfully but the field value ""Date of Last Password Change"" is not being changed. So the portal works with the new password but try to enforce the password expiration policy (90 days) when the policy expires even though you have just changed the password using methods 2 or 3.
So every 90 days though the password is reset using AD, portal didnt recognize it and it prompts password expiration again which creates confusion for the user.
SAP came back saying this is not supported at this point of time. Whats surprising is IDM is SAP, portal is SAP and password hook is SAP then why this cannot be achieved (remember it works in the first method).
So we are trying to script in IDM to do this manually. What we want to know is the field name of """Date of Last Password Change"" and the format in which the data is stored. Right now we wrote a java function which returns the epic time and pass the epic time to portal to update the field ""Date of Last Password Change"" but nothing happens. the job completes successfully but the update is not happening.
Or other suggestions to resolve this.

as per you details the problem with source file there is nothing to at MDM side. how you get source file in excel or XML ??
following point may help you
1. if excel file just check field length by using len function because space will also count as character and sometime it get converted to # symbol
2. or if source file coming from SAP or any legacy system in XML or excel make sure space should not include for this field. for e.g. if your field length is 20 and name is "Yogesh Bhatia" so after counting 13 by default system will pass space for that field as length is 20 so name would be "Yogesh Bhatia#######" so if you are using any intermidiate software like XI just tructed this space after name and also you can use use MDM

Domain mapping for the portal URL | URGENT

Hi ,
The project is expected to go live in 10 days .The user would be accessing the portal with the URL http://domain.company.com and <b>NOT</b> by http://domain:50000/irj/portal . I need to figure out how can we do that .
We have a WAN network and a public ip has been assigned to the portal production server .We have a company domain reserved to be used for portal server .
What will be required to be done on the portal side or anywhere else for the URL http://domain.company.com to translate to http://domain:50000/irj/portal

Hi Deepak,
You can achieve this by setting up Reverse Proxy in your DMZ such that all internet request hit the reverse proxy server and that re-routes request to your Portal server.
If you want to avoid all these, you can use Html Redirection or Java Script redirection features.
a. Point your request https://abc.comp.com to this html file which would inturn redirect to abc.comp.com:50001/irj/portal.

Simple name for the portal path

Hello.
Is is possible to setup Apache as to have a simple name for the http:\\servername\pls\etc.etc.etc. address? How do i set this up?

Thx, but i wanted something like this:
the address
http://<servername>:<portnumber>/pls/portal30/etc.etc.etc.
should be contacted only by typing the following address:
http:/portal
The homepage of Portal should be shown then. I managed it now, but that is not the right way. Normally, when you type the servername, you will see an information page on Apache. I edited that page, so that it redirects in zero seconds to the url where portal is running.
But that is not a real nice way to do it. Any ideas?

Confused on FIM Service MA. It does not seem to be pulling my AD users into the correct place for the Portal

I ran a full AD import which gave me about 20K of adds.
Per the FIM Book I have I set a connector filter to filer out the admin and built in sync accounts
After running that MA I got 2 adds.
How do I get my AD users into the portal if FIM service does not import them. Is it a synch? I don't want to synch anything from the FIM DB back into AD, so I am being cautious

import just fills the connector space of fim sync.
connector space is like some kind of cache of the connected data source which FIM lets calculate delta which need then to be synced to the MV
so after import you need to have a sync rule in place for ad (or MA import attribute flows).
if objects needs to be created in MV you must project them by either projection criteria or by enable ceate object from external data source in sync rule.
Objects are in MV then, an will can be exported to fim service ma regarding to the export attribute flows of the fim service ma.

Where to find the download link for the Portal BP for Payer Direct?

Can anyone tell me where to find the download for the BP for Payer Direct???
I see information about it on help.sap.com.
Also, it is mentioned in detail in the docs for the BP for Supplier Collaboration.
But I cannot find anything for it on SDN or Service Marketplace.

I finally found it in the Content Portfolio.
I was including the "" in my search...like "Payer Direct". This way was just returning every one of the BPs.
But if I search on Payer Direct without the quotes around the term, then I get the result.
In my result, it does not say License Required. I get the download icon, and it says "The license for this package is included in the mySAP ERP (P) or the mySAP SRM (P) or the SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (P) or NW User (for R/3 Users)license."
But when I click on the download link, it does not work. I get a syntax error.

2. Select the Configuration Adapterservice.
3. In the Runtime -> Display configurations tab, navigate to the following:
webdynpro -> sap.com -> tcwddispwda -> Propertysheet default
4. Set the sap.useWebDynproStyleSheet property to true. The default is false.

Customizing the statistic result for the process management

    As you know , we always need customize some statistic for the customers , some customers wonder whether they can Stat according to the all the data in the form for the process . And these statistics such as the numbers of everyone who start process , the average work efficiency of each staff (the period who deals with his/her job) etc. , many kinds of these requirements .
   Is there any ready methods to realize this requirements , it seems the BAM can not be suitable for all of these requirements ; at the begining , I want to save all the data into DB , but I am afraid that this will make the system very slow if there is a large number of these data in the DB.
   Well , can anybody give some suggestion ? Thanks a lot !

I think BAM is your best option.
If you don't get the statistic that you need, you can always build a custom dashboard object (graph) to get it.
