STATISTICAL SETUP TABLE

hi,
please help me; after the activation of the 2LIS_03_BF extractor in the R/3 system ( transaction LBWE), i have tested it but (transaction RSA3) and the result is 0 record extracted.
Probably i have forgotten some phases in the configuration process like the statistical setup table.
Can explain me how do it

Hi,
The relationship is 1 -> 1 you have to fill the setup table, the full load only reads this structure. So if you would like to load a 2LISxx full load every night, you have to delete and refill the setup table in R/3.

Hi Harpal.
In R/3 you have to make the following steps.
1) Transaction SBIW.
2) "Business Information Warehouse" --> "Settings for Application-Specific DataSouerces" --> "Logistics" --> "Managing Extract Structure" --> "Inizialization".
3) "Delete the Contents of the Setup Table" --> then select the Application related to the extrator 2LIS that you are interested in.
4) "Filling in the Setup Tables" --> "Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data" --> then select the Application related to the extrator 2LIS that you are interested in.
You can check the right Application via transaction LBWE where you can see all the extractors with the related Application.
PAY ATTENTION that the delete and fill of the SetUp Tables is for Application and not for extractor, as you can see in LBWE for Purchasing (02) where you can see that the three extractor 2LIS_02_HDR - 2LIS_02_ITM - 2LIS_02_SCL are all related to 02 Application.

Problems filling material movements setup table

I am trying to fill the statistical setup table for material movements (OLI1BW).
I have given a name and entered posting dates 01.01.1998 to 31.12.2002 and have put the date of termination in the future. However, the run does not start whether I execute in the foreground or background. I have checked NPRT log and 0 records with 0 time. Does anyone know why this could be? Thanks

You have to put it in 'selection by posting date' field
or you can give material doc range in 'selection by material doc' field

Hi, Varaprasad,
TO check the content of set table , go to se11 and give the extract structure name foolowed by SETUP .eg for your 2lis_11_vahdr we have extract structure mc11va0hdr , so the set up table name will be mc11vaohdrsetup. But in the set up tablls data is stored in a special data type called LRAW consisiting of 3500 characters . So it will be difficult to chekc the data there.
So the most easy way to check the data will be through RSA3 tcode , there u have to give the datat source name and clivk the exract tab , then display data . From that u can check the data there.

Filling billing setup table with documents from a given date

I would like to fill the setup table in R/3 with SD Billing Documents which have been created from 01/05-2007 until now. Is this possible somehow?
(SBIW --> Business Warehouse --> Settings for App Specific Datasources --> Logistics --> Managing Extract Structures --> Initialization --> Filling in the Setup Table --> App. specific setup of statistical data --> Perform Setup - SD Billing Documents)
The only fields I see are:
- Archiving run
- Sales organization
- Company code
- Sales document

Hi Torben,
I dont think if you dont have option to see the date to select, probably you wont be able to fill your setup table based on date. Otherwise you can pull in the data from R/3 based on this date restriction in your infopackage after filling your setup table without any restriction.

Error when filling setup table

Hi!
I'm trying to fill the set-up table in R3 for SD Billing Documents.
SBIW (Display IMG (Settings for App Specific Datasources --> Logistics --> Managing Extract Structures --> Initialization --> Filling in the Setup Table --> App. specific setup of statistical data)..
When running the program i get this error msg:
"More faulty documents found than the tolerated 0000000000"
The result is that the program stops. Some of the data is coming into the set up tables, but this seems to be inconsistent.
Anybody know what I could do?

How to stop document posting when filling setup tables for logistic app.

I've read several threads and weblogs about data extraction from logistic applications i.e the ones which uses the infosources like 2lis_13_vditm, 2lis_02, 2lis_03, etc, etc,and now almost every thing is clear to me but one thing: how do i actually "close the system" while the process of filling setup tables i.e MC03BF0SETUP, MC03BX0SETUP, MC13VD0ITMSETUP, are running?
So I have some questions
1) which is the procedure to prevent users from posting documents for an specific logistic applications (02,03, etc.) in a source system
3) For example when using TC OLI9BW for statistical setup from billing documents (app no. 13), there is a check box "Block all billing documents?". Is this option for such pourpose?
4) Every logistic applications has a different procedure??

Q1: usually the BW team will inform basis/secuity about the deletion and performing of setup tables. they will fix a time after the normal hours where in all users are locked out from the system. in a sense, R/3 will be down for that time.
2. the check box which says, "block documents" is meant to block posting. for eg: you are doing setup tables late in the evening, and you assume that no user is assessing the system, but if there is a user(just by chance) who is doing some posting and when he try to save it, the system will not allow him to do save as you cheked this option.(normally we donot use this)
3. some LO may have different procedures, for eg IM. but most of them have the same functionality.

Errors in Statistical Setup for 2LIS_11 and 2LIS_13

Dear colleagues,
in the process of filling setup tables for SD Sales Orders (11) and SD Billing Documents (13) I have encountered some errors.
In order to investigate the problem further, we have increased the tolerance for the number of faulty documents.
For the billing documents (13) this allows me to consult the log file and to trace all faulty documents. For the sales orders (11) however, we have also increased this tolerance number (1000). The log shows only 1 faulty document, while 1000 errors are tolerated, and the runs fails with this 1 faulty document (job cancelled).
The full log description of the cancelled job is:
Job started
Step 001 started (program RMCVNEUA, variant &0000000000100, user name BExxxx)
Data source 2LIS_11_VAHDR contains data still to be transferred
Start of order processing
Error determining rate: foreign curr. local curr. EUR date 04.05.2006 (doc. 20149127)

Context:
At this stage I do not want the delta queue to be emptied. That's why the error states that the 2LIS_11_VAHDR datasource still contains data.
My questions are:
- Is this normal behaviour for this setup (or this particular error), or is it likely to be a program error?
- If it is normal behavior, can I "force" this run to log more than 1 error, while 1000 are tolerated?

It could be because of main memory problem... so Restrict your selections and do the statistical setup
by the way how many comp codes you have? restrict with comp codes or doc ranges

Problem with populating setup tables for purchasing

I'm working on NW2004s.
Problem: Setup tables are not getting populated for 2lis_02_hdr, 2lis_02_item..
what all i've done so far:
1. Activated Data Sources in RSA5.
2. In LO Data Extraction, all the extract structure are active. (btw in job control i'm not sure what it does, i did make job parameter start date immediate, didnt set the print parms, schedule job gives an error.. anything here i may be messing it up?)
3. In SBIW initialization Deleted the contents of setup table and executed the 'Purchasing - perform setup'.
4. In NPRT i can see the log, the name of the source table EKKO, duration of run is 0.0 and no of docs 130.
5. In RSA3 for 2lis_02_hdr extraction process 0 records.
6. I look at SE11 for 'MC02M_0HDRSETUP' and table contents gives 0 records.
Any help is appreciated what i'm missing why the setup tables are not populating. I went thru the forum and did what was said but no sucess yet. I'm not an expert in SAP BW just been working for a year so pl dont be cryptic, explain u'r answers. Thanks for your time

All the active datasources will be available in RSA6, after that go to LBWE ,maintain Ex Stru, Maintain DS and make that active, then we go for statistical setup
have you done these things?
Did you put any filters while filling up the setup tables?
what is the transaction you used for Setup.

I can find the datasource of GTM like 2LIS_46_SCL, 2LIS_46_ITM with rsa6.
But when I use rsa3 to do test it, nothing found. I try to initialize the setup table, but I can not find it under SBIW.

CONVT_NO_NUMBER dump while filling PURCHASING setup tables

I have deleted the setup tables in lbwg and try to fill the setup tables again, it is running like 6-7 secons and giving the the below dump,
CONVT_NO_NUMBER. dont understand why it is giving the dump.
plz provide the solution to solve the above dump,i need to fill the setup tables and extract the data into PRODUCTION SYSTEM.
pl check the below error analysis.

Hi,
I received the same runtime error "CONVT_NO_NUMBER" after I start the application specific setup of statistical data - perform setup purchasing. The short text of the runtime error describes that "P" is not recognized as a number.
In my case the ABAP-program "SAPLEINS" was interrupted because the function module "ME_STATISTICS_LIS_NEW" could not be processed successfully in line "341".
So I set a break point in this line and start the perform setup for purchasing (LIS-application 02) again. The debugging mode showed me the dataset of purchasing document that was responsible for the program abort. In the table "ekbe" (History per Purchasing Document) exists one or more purchasing documents who has as transaction/event type (ekbe-vgabe) an alphabetic character. But alphabetic and numeric characters are absolutely correct for the data maintenance of transaction/event type in the purchasing document.
In my case the ABAP statement in line 341 (... WHERE vgabe = 1.) could not be interpreted the dataset with the alphabetic transaction/event type "P" (invoice parking).
The sap-Note 1548467 resolved my problem and I was able to perform the setup for purchasing successfully.

Statistical Setup failure - Purchasing application

We upgraded our R/3 Plug-In from 2002.1 to PI 2004.1. To test the setup and init process,we ran the statistical setup run for 02 application. The setup program is successful but the documents are not posted into the MC02....SETUP tables. Checked the NPRT transaction to check the log entries, it displays that 252,000 documents are selected. Checked the extraction using RSA3 as well, it returns 0 records. Are there any specific entries that needs to be checked or entered for PI 2004.1 upgrade with reference to Purchasing application? or should I check any table lock stuff with reference to MC02...SETUP tables?

sorry for being so insistent, but for an analysis it is really important to check, if the statistical setup run actually created any data in the setup table.
If there are no records in the setup table, then the RSA3 can not show any records.
