Statistics tool?

Is it possible to include a stats tool as AppAnnie (or similar) in the App Builder process to enable more advanced statistics without purchasing SiteCatalyst?

No, you cannot integrate these in App Builder.

  • Analzing log files with external tools?

    Hi,
is there any way to use web analytics software like Webtrends with EP? In other words, does EP produce
an access log file with date, URL, user, referrer,
    etc.?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stefan.

Thanks for the hint. Apparently httpaccess\responses.0.trc contains log entries that look very familiar to something an ordinary web server produces, which is good.
A simple perl script could transform the logfile (date, etc.) into a format that a Web statistics tool on the market (e.g. WebTrends) could use.
The SAP built-in reports are not something that drives a marketing department wild.
    Thanks,
    Stefan

  • EXMON "exchange server user monitor" for Exchange 2013?

    Hello,
it Looks like EXMON is not supported for Exchange 2013. Is this correct or can i use it with Server 2012 R2 and Exchange 2013 (CU6++)  ?
Is there any alternative to check high log growth rate to see which user is responsable for this?
    Thanks for Feedback.
    best,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
Yes, ExMon is not supported for exchange 2013.
Except the suggestion above, here is an exclusive application for you reference, it could retrieve statistics for all or selected mailboxes in a specified database and server, it may give you some help:
Exchange Server Mailbox Statistics Tool - v1.6.2
The tool retrieves mailbox statistics which includes Folder Count, Total Items, Associated Items, Deleted Items, Total Items Size, Deleted Items Size, Oldest Item Date, Newest Item Date, Items Age, Mailbox Age and Quota details. It also includes an additional
option named "Archive Statistics Planner" which will let you search mailboxes and provide statistics report with specific dates.

  • Activity Report  - customizations

I want create Activity report for the Portal and to a sepcific iView/Page as well.
How can the report be customized?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Shimon

    Hi,
Check this to know abut Activity Reporting which is meant to gather and present information about portal activity.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/46/eb9df91aaf0e65e10000000a155369/frameset.htm
If Portal Activity Report does not fulfill your usecase, then use Activity Data Collector, which is more powerfull but writes all outputs to files.
You can also check the DB Tables WCR_USERSTAT and all WCR* tables to check the datas collected by Portal Activity Report.
create a Portal activity report with aditional data?
    Also check this alternative:
Write your own portal usage statistics tool

  • Tracking logon user's IP address

    Hi gurus,
We are implementing an external facing portal in EP 7.0. As part of audit trail, we need to track the IP address of the user logging into the portal. While I have been going through the default activity report provided + configuration of new reports, nowhere do i find the mention of tracking the client IP address. I went thru Prakash's blog on Writing your own portal statistics tool, and was wondering if we do have to take up such a customization in logo.par?
I am seeking suggestions on how to track and record the client IP address once a user logons into the portal.
    regards,
    S Rudra

    Hi,
Thanks for the single reply to the question .. not to mention awarded good points too ... configuring the way mentioned gives the details into the standard log file.... one has top again filter out the details
I solved the problem myself ... HOW .... here it goes
But I was looking to get custom report, to get the login userid, IPaddress and time of access.... built a custom class to write the details into a text file and stored it into a server location ... then I modified the masthead par to implement the same ... not the logon.par ... currently working to get the output in download excel file ...
    Cheers!!!!

    Hello Damodhar,
I think that the "Portal Activity Report" suits your needs:

  • Data Analysis and Regressions

I am looking into getting Numbers, but need it for statistic analysis, referred to data analysis in excel. Does anyone know if Numbers can us data analysis for regressions and descriptive statistics?

Compared to Excel, Numbers is weak in statistics functions. If you are creative, you can get by with Numbers, but you will probably not be happy with Numbers as a statistics tool.

  • Accessing MySQL

What are the default values for MySQL on OSX Server?
I want to access it from a client machine on my network. I've got the webserver running with PHP.
A PHP info script tells me MySQL is running, but I don't know how to get to it. Ideally I want to install phpmyadmin so I can manage my databases from there.
Can't some one get me started.
    Thanks

Most web packages include a sequence of shell commands around using mysqladmin, and these work the same on Mac OS X Server as they do on most other boxes with MySQL installed. Your particular package will usually have a sequence of mysqladmin or related commands, and a create command and some related SQL baggage.
To see what this can look like, launch Terminal.app and enter the command mysqladmin at the prompt. You should get some details on MySQL and the local MySQL configuration.
Here's a [tutorial around how this MySQL database creation process works|http://maczealots.com/tutorials/drupal> for [Drupal|http://www.drupal.org], which should get you going. (It's a few years old, but the procedures are basically the same.) Do follow the directions for your package.
Be very wary of installing any extraneous "stuff" on an externally-accessible web server, as there are botnets very active and very specifically targeting cross-site scripting and MySQL attacks against web sites, and that are targeting administration and monitoring and statistics tools.
Do keep your installed packages current, as the botnets are attacking either slightly ahead of or slightly behind the typical security announcements, too.
And if you prefer phpmyadmin, well, why not load it? It's certainly available. Just make sure it's (also) kept secure against (untrusted) remote access.
Locally, I find [CocoaMySQL|http://cocoamysql.sourceforge.net> pretty handy. Here are some [details of how to use this tool with remote access|http://64.223.189.234/node/376] akin to MySQL. Latest bits appear to be CocoaMySQL beta v0.7b5 from 2006-11-01.
I don't let any MySQL remote management access past the firewalls for the sites I manage.

  • Which Way To Go? (ADF with Netbeans?, Glassfish in JDeveloper?)

    Hi there,
I am new to the "Java for Web" branch - though I'm not that new to Java and J2EE itself. So far I've always used PHP for Web-stuff
I have to write a Web Application (using Java EE 5 as backend) in JSF. Nothing too fancy - just a statistics tool (grabing data from the JPA-Entities, and displaying it in nice-looking charts)
My problem is that I'm not really sure which way to go, since I have hardly any experience in this field (I did some JSP/Servlet stuff a while ago, but it was really painful)
The application server is Glassfish V2 (SJSAS 9.1), database is Oracle 10g. Since I've used Netbeans for most of my Java stuff, I thought of using it for this project too, but when looking at JSF Implementations/Frameworks, a lot of people seem to like ADF Faces, while the other Implementations/Frameworks (obviously) aren't that great. However I couln't find any way to Integrate ADF in Netbeans (getting the ADF widgets/elements in the toolbox-palette of Netbeans). Using JDeveloper wouldn't be that bad (have used it too for some simple Swing-stuff), but I'm not sure on how well I can delploy/debug stuff in JDevelooper using Glassfish. - Is JDeveloper Java EE 5/EJB 3.0 ready? EJB 3.0 seems ok, but I tried creating a JSF Page, and I could only create one in Java EE 1.4 (JDeveloper version 10.1.3.2.0)
I also had a look at PHP-like stuff in JSP/Servlets (like Phobos or Quercus), but they didn't seem to work that great :\
Any ideas on how to approach this best?
    Thanks!

    Tim,
Is JDeveloper Java EE 5/EJB 3.0 ready? EJB 3.0 seems ok, but I tried creating a JSF Page, and I could only create one in Java EE 1.4 (JDeveloper version 10.1.3.2.0)
JSF support works in Java EE 1.4 and Java EE 5. However, JDeveloper uses JSF 1.1, not JSF 1.2 - which is what we support in JDeveloper 11. In regards to your requirement to create charts, ADF Faces does provide data visualization components in JDeveloper 11 - which currently is in developer preview and freely available on OTN. In JDeveloper 10.1.3 there are no graph components in ADF Faces.
Since you want to use NetBeans and ADF doesn't work within this IDE I suggest you to have a look at Trinidad. Trinidad is an open source JSF component set originated from the ADF Faces code. Trinidad also has charting capabilities
    http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/index.html
In JDeveloper 11, Trinidad is integrated within the JDeveloper IDE for declarative development with ADF. Not sure though if you find the same level of EJB /JPA support in Netbeans as you do in JDeveloper. However, you pick.

  • Question about the accuracy of the Gaussian Fit

    Hi all,
I was having some doubts on the accuracy of the gaussian fit performed by LabVIEW and implemented the code in attachment to test it.
I made a distribution and made a Gaussian fit to it and extracted the average and standard deviation.
Then, I used the same distribution and padded it with zeros to the left and right and did a gaussian fit to the overall distribution.
I was expecting the average to change but the standard deviation to be the same, since the difference in the distribution are the zeros...
The thing is that neither the average (the average is a fractional value) nor the standard deviation are the expected.
Any hints on why this may be happening?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Best regards.

Your data is NOT a Gaussian and fitting it to a Gaussian is thus completely meaningless. As Lynn said, the lower graph adds a sigificant amount of zeros to the dataset and thus will bias the fit.
You can do a "not_equal_zero...boolean_to_0,1" on the y data and wire it to the weight to disregard all zero values. Now you get the same result.
You should actually change the parameter bounds to allow for a fit of the offset, and you'll see that the upper graph will have a lower offset (offset=-3.6) compared to the lower graph (offset=-0.5). Since you are forcing the offset to be zero, the fit will compensate by changing the width.
What are you actually trying to achieve with this exercise? If this simulation is similar to your real data, maybe you should fit it to a triangle function instead. If you just want to calculate the mean and standard deviation of the data, use the classic statistics tools. Does this represent a histogram of some data?

  • Changing Clock Speeds!

Well, i installed a handy little tool called CoreDuo Temp
    http://macbricol.free.fr/coreduotemp/
Its a handy tool which tells me the temp of the CPU and also the amount of CPU being used. It also tells me my clock speed.
When I start up my MacBook the little tool loads up, now what i've noticed is that the clock speed changes! Using a statistics tool i managed to take down the changes..

SpeedStep technology has been a part of Intel's chips for quite some time albeit it is more sophisticated now, but the technology is pre-Pentium I believe.
The processor speed can be controlled by the user but the Intel Macs use the SMC to handle changing processor speed based partly on load and heat. Because this is done automatically within the CPU there's no need for the user to change processor speed in order to conserve battery life. That was definitely not the case with the PPC which required an external mechanism to change the voltage to the CPU to reduce speed. Hence the need for the feature in the Energy Saver preference to provide the alternative speed levels for AC and Battery operation.

  • Tool for Airport network statistics per connected device ?

I'm in search of a tool that would help me identify network traffic load per connected device to my Airport network.
    My network is made of
    * WiFi infra: one main Airport Extreme base station connected thru Ethernet to my SP's cable-modem + 2 Airport Express as relays, all interconnected with WDS.
    * WiFi clients : 2 Macs + 2 PCs + 1 printer + 1 WiFi PDA-Phone, all connected thru WiFi only
    * I suspect misuse by one of the Macs or PCs (or alien ?) of WiFi network as sometimes network performance is really low, impacting all end-points' network performance
    * ideal tool could be based on SNMP stats of Ethernet/TCP/UDP/ports & packets per connected device. Should cover each Airport Express relay, the main Airport Extreme, possibly the cable-modem, and bring help for root cause analysis to go up the chain to faulty client and application (at least port/protocol)
any idea of such kind of tool (preferably run on Mac OS X)
    thx in advance

I apologize for taking up your time. I had bought this to use with my PS3 (60GB Launch model with 802.11b) but hadn't used the PS3 in the equation yet. I kind of gave up on the project for awhile and unplugged the Express. Just for giggles I plugged it in later and cabled it up to the PS3 for the first time. Worked perfectly. Now my PS3 downloads are flying.
I'm not sure what solved the problem but it is working great now! Thanks again for the help.

  • Web page statistics & trends tools?

Does anyone know of software to support monitoring web page statistics & trends for a JSF-based application running on Tomcat 5.5x app server?

You can ignore that part of the posted text, you can only hide the menu bar on the Windows platform and not on Mac OS X and Linux.
On Windows you can press the F10 key to make the Menu bar appear if it is hidden. If a plugin has focus then the keyboard won't work and you need to click somewhere in the user interface (e.g. location bar)
