Thanks in advance.by default , the spauto.sql script will setup snapshot collection jobs to run every hour, on the hour. you can change the frequency of hte snapshot statistic collection period by editing the spauto.sql script. after making changes, re-execute the script spauto.sql will cause statistic collection to occur on the schedule you specified.

S_ALR_87003642 FI Periods, request, current settings

Hi all,
I have a little trouble. After support-packages the system need a request to open and close FI periods with tcode S_ALR_87003642. I've checked the system and I have not found that the current settings in tcode SOBJ por object V_T001B was changed. I've found the note 307222 'generated transactions for current setting' but I think that it is not relevant.
Any suggestion is wellcomed.

In ECC.6 a request is generated in Development System for any change in OB52 / S_ALR_87003642, but the standard settings of Production System by Basis resources make it available for change without asking for Transport request.
Which system requires you the Transport Request on OB52. Is it DEV, QAS or PRD????????

Need to sync iPhone 4 to new laptop; don't want to setup as a new iPhone, want to keep current settings

My previous Dell laptop is crashing and I have purchased a new HP g4 laptop.
I own a 160GB iPod, iPhone 4, and 32gb iPad. I am less concerned about the iPod because that is just my music.
My problem is:
How can I sync my iPhone 4 & 1st gen iPad to my new laptop without having to set it up as a new iPhone/iPad? I want to keep all my current settings as well as my groups of apps.
Any advice?
When I setup iTunes on the new computer, I had backed up all the music and iTunes folder to my external hard drive them copied from there to the new laptop. This process did not copy over my playlists (like I was told it would). iTunes is basically setup new and does not recognize that it is just on a different computer.
I set my iPod to sync and it said "was synced with other library...erase & sync?" I said yes, because it's just music. I imported each playlist 1 by 1.
Any help is appreciated; I really do not want to have to re-setup both iPhone & iPad.

Thank you for the advice. I had done the backup of the whole library folder to iTunes, but I did not know I had to hold SHIFT down when opening it. I had already synced the iPod when I posted the previous message.
I ended up trying a few steps that seemed to work out in my favor.
When the iPad & iPhone were connected to iTunes, I first right clicked and chose to transfer purchases from the device to iTunes (I was not prompted by the "already associated with a library" message). Once that finished, I right clicked on the device again and chose to Back Up the device (again, not promted). Once the back up was complete, I went to each device and rechose my music,apps, movies, tv shows, books, photos and then clicked to sync. I was prompted here that the device would be erased first. I was then prompted asking if I wanted to Merge Information - I chose to merge and the sync continued.
Once the siny was finished it was as if I had finished a sync with my old laptop; all my settings and everything were in place - did not have to re-enter passwords in apps or set up mail settings again.
This worked on both my iPad and my iPhone.

Report to find current settings of system in SOBJ

Does a report exists with which I can find the current settings which aren´t transportable?

I applied FSE2 to the Role for my Control Team to update and change the FSV.
Not sure about that note.
We find a transaction in the IMG, add it to a role and test before moving it to Production. Not all IMG activites have transactions....

Hdv current settings exported file dimension changes to 1920X1080

Hello,
I'm working with HDV-sourced footage (MPEG-2 at 1440X1080). I have a bunch of long clips I simply want to cut into smaller pieces for now. So, I've dragged the HDV footage into a sequence with HDV settings (ie. 1440X1080). I export with "Current Settings" as I want to maintain HDV file sizes and stay in the same codec as the camera and what the files were originally imported as. Then, when I check the codec in Finder, it says the files are MPEG-2 at 1920X1080. So, if the dimensions have changed, have I somehow changed the codec?

It never displayed as 1440, or at least it shouldn't have. If it did, everyone and everything would've looked squished and skinny. Your export, if it was anything other than HDV, would be 1920. Did you export ProRes, H.264, or something else? And if you exported HDV, open the clip in QT, and click on Window/Show Movie INspector. The inspector window will show you the actual encoded pixels, and the display pixels. The former should be 1440, and the latter should be 1920.

Current Settings vs Uncompressed

I work with XDCam HD primarily and when exporting a final QT master I always do it "using current settings" (ie- native XDCam HD sequence settings) and get a great finished product. A collegue recently complained about a DVCam sequence he exported using the same method ("using current settings") and how the master looked compressed from the original. I looked at it and agreed. We then exported the same DVCam seguence using "uncompressed" setting and it looked better but created a HUGE file. Why does "uncompressed" look better than native? Should I be exporting my XDCam HD footage via QT "uncompressed" vs "using current settings" despite the massive file sizes (if I want the best quality)?

I've done that a hundred times and never saw what you describe. Are you certain he exported to QUICK TIME MOVIE, selected USE CURRENT SETTINGS and DID NOT choose RE-COMPRESS ALL FRAMES. I've also read that exporting using conversion, even if you choose the same settings as your sequence, will affect the outcome.
The only way I know of to export and maintain the same quality you have in the timeline is to USE CURRENT SETTINGS.

I have an annoying message that pops up saying that I have an unauthorised attempt to change the settings, and asks if I want to keep the current settings or accept the changes.

Even if I was computer literate enough to know the difference, it does not tell me what the changes are, or more iomportantly, where they have come from. I always answer, Yes, I am happy with my current settings, and ignore the No, please make the changes, but this message box keeps on presenting every time I open Firefox. I have tried right-clicking on different places on the message box, to try and find a way of removing it.. Can anyone tell me how I might remove this messgae?

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).

Why can't I toggle between current settings and defaults on the ACR basic panel?

When I try to toggle between current settings and defaults, I get a blue or black screen in the "After" image so I can not compare before and after. The toggle doesn't work when I am viewing a single image or when I am viewing before and after side-by-side. The blue or black image looks like the image is totally clipped, but it's the same whether clipping is on or off. Command-Option-P does not work either. Also, the histogram totally disappears when I try to toggle. So I think something is corrupted, and I'd like to know how to fix it. BTW, this toggle works fine when I am in the adjustment brush panel; it's the basic panel where it doesn't work. I use Photoshop CC (2014) and Bridge CC on a new iMac--Yosemite. All are up to date (ACR 8.7.1.311). I am not using Lightroom. I would appreciate a suggested fix. Confession: I am very new to the Mac environment and just returning to Photoshop after an absence so I'm finding my way; there's a good chance I'm making a rookie mistake. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions on where else I might post my question.

The only fix at the moment is to hold the option key when clicking the green button.

I exported my 1080i project as QT movie with current settings but...

when I burned it onto a dvd using iDVD and displayed it on my LCD HDTV using my PS3 (more acronyms please?) it still look compressed/pixelated and had artifacts. I exported to QT movie using "current settings" so I was assuming that the quality would be as good as it was while viewing it in FCP. Any idea what happened?
(using fcp 5.1.4)

Might try using Compressor and DVD SP for the DVD creation... the encodes to MPEG are better there I believe.

Transport current settings for KPU1

Hi,
I need to be able to make changes directly through transaction KPU1 in my production system even though the system is in not modifiable status. I have read somewhere that it may be possible to do this using by transporting the current settings using transaction SOBJ in my development. SOBJ asks for the object name. I entered RKPU1 and get the message "RKPU1 not active or does not exist" even though I can see that this table is active in SE11...Not sure how to proceed..Please advise...

2. In the transaction OMSL the Material Length is 18 which is the same in R3.
What about the above setting in QA ???

Trouble exporting Pro Res 4444 at current settings through QT

Hi. I'm editing a sequence with settings at Pro Res 4444, frame size 2048/1024 (footage shot on Red). It's 25 minutes long. The client wants me to deliver a self-contained movie at current settings. When I try to export one (choosing 'export'/'quicktime movie'), after getting 3-5 pct done, it stops and a '! General Error' message appears.
There's plenty of room on my drive.
Anyone know what 'general error' might mean in this case? Is it perhaps impossible to export a file this big (I expect it to be about 60G)? If it is indeed not possible, any tips on what alternate settings I can use to give the client the best possible quality?

First you should know that FCE doesn't work natively with h.264 files. It will try, but in the long run you'll encounter a lot of problems. Since FCE was designed to only work with the QuickTime DV and AIC formats, you'll need to convert the footage prior to importing. If your version has a Log & Transfer function, there might be a plugin you can download from Canon that will transcode the files into the proper format. But whatever you do, when converting the files, the video specs MUST exactly match the specs of your FCE Sequence.
If you want to edit h.264 files natively, use Adobe Premier or FCP-X.

Export as current settings question

Hello,
I have HDV video on my timeline, Setting is HDV 60i 1440x1080. I export it as Quick Time movie, leaving Current settings. But my resulting video is HDV 1080i 60, but with dimensions 1920x1080.
It looks way too stretch when playing with QT or when imported to Compressor for further compression. How come this is happening?

You are probably correct and the OP is getting the sequence size from QT which is giving him the square pixel equivalent and he has anamorphic checked (or not) when he imports it. But who knows? Without any clarification we can spin theories forever ...

Editing H.264, exporting with current settings results in transcode?

Hello, I just edited a H.264 (.mov) home video and exported it using "Current Settings". The original file size was 400 MB but the export resulted in a 4.5 GB file. FCP X obviously transcodes the original material. I've also tried exporting the same file using the "H.264" setting, the result then was a 300 Mb file. This corresponds to the cutting I've done but the export process still took a lot of time and CPU to finish which proves transcode taking place again. In the past I used Quicktime 7 Pro to cut and edit H.264, it never transcoded the files and the saving was quick an painless. Am I missing some settings here or is FCP X currently unable to edit H.264 and export it without transcoding the original material? Thank you

Maybe you can give me an additional recommendation ?
At the end I need my film in h.264 format and of course I'd like the film to be in terms of quality as close to the original material as possible. Original files are AVCHD HA (so h.264 codec with 17Mbit/s) in 1080i resolution.
So far I have exported my material directly from FCP X (using either the "export to h.264" from FCP itself but also trying several h.264 export formats from Compressor). All these attempts ended up with a quality that is visibly worse compared to the original AVCHD file, even when I use a bitrate for the output that is much higher than the 17 MBit of the original material. Resolution is fine but scenes with fast moves are really bad in some cases. From a "naive" point of view this seems strange to me: An output file in h.264 25MBit/s should be as good as the input material that was h.264 17MBit/s, shouldn't it ?
From what you stated above, I now wondered if I should better export to ProRes first (thus building what you called the "master" in best available quality) and than build the h.264 file from the master with Compressor in a second step ? means: go the way "Highly compressed" -> Master -> "Highly compressed" instead of directly doing "Highly compressed" -> "Highly compressed" ? Would there be any difference ? Or is the material anyway transcoded to ProRes in the background when exporting to h.264.

Query Curves Layer for current settings
