Status and status profile?

Hi,
I have learned how to setup Status and status profile in IMG.
who can give me the detailed presentations of its usage in S/O or other transactions?
If I changed the system status, for example I put the button 'put in process' in notification, the system status is changed from 'OSNO' to 'NOPR', what effects it would be for the next?

But you have not changed the system status physically, you just clicked the "put in process button" in the notification, it changed the status to "NOPR".
User statuses enable you to further limit the functions that are permitted for a notification due to a system status. You can assign and delete user statuses directly if you have the authorization for doing this. User statuses are defined within a status profile for notifications in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.
System statuses are preset by SAP and cannot be changed.
User statuses are defined by the system administrator within a status profile for notifications in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.

Different user status profile for network header and activities

Hi everyone!
Is there any way to define different user status profile at network header level and at network activity level? As far as I know, it is only possible to enter a user profile at network type level, and both netwok headers and activities use the same statuses. Does it work this way?

I've gone through the OPSC, but the thing is that here you define a user status profile at network plant level. But I need to define it at network activity level.
The reason why I need this is because we have types of activities. We use network activities for client activities, for internal activities, to identify and follow-up risk management, etc. Each group of activities -since they have different usages- has different user status associated. But as I don't have any way to assign different user status profiles, all the activities have the same statuses, although they will only use some of them.

Hi George,
There are are two types of statuses.One is system status and second one is user status.These statuses will tell us current situation of an order.
We can't change system statuses.But we can create our own statuses through status profile.With this profile we can control user statuses.
In this status profile,
1.We define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated,
2.We define initial statuses
3. Allow or prohibit certain business transactions.
Selection profiles are used to select the objects (say production orders) with different status combinations.We assign status profiles to selection profiles in BS42 T-Code.

Hi Ammar,
I have checked both BAPI but BAPI are not working as per our requirement.
Firstly we wanted to update progress parameter like measurement method(progress version,method plan,method actual) & POC weight into activity but as per BAPI given by you there is no any field available related to measurement method(progress version,method plan,method actual).
And secondly we wanted to update status profile residing in Activity tab not in network header or WBS.
Waiting for some more input related to query.

Status profile at header and item level

Hi friends,
I have created a status profile at the header with option like CRTD and APPRD. The transaction control is Forbid billing when CRTD and Allow Billing when APPRD. I have attached this profile to the Sales document header.
At the item level i have created status profile with option like DUE and INST with transcation control Forbid billing when DUE and Allow Billing when INST.
My problem is when I set the status as APPRD at header, the billing of items with status DUE takes place.
Please suggest how to restrict billing of items where the Status is DUE.

Dear Lisa,
In which tab you are maintaining delivery block in the delivery item data or order item data.
As per my concern there is no field called Delivery Block in the item data of the sales order and delivery.
In the header data you have.

Follow-up document and Status profile

Dear experts,
In CRM, I can create a follow-up quotation from a service process by using the Create Follow-up button.
I'd like to be able to create a follow-up quotation only for specific statuses in the service process document and to be unable to create a quotation as a follow-up document for the others statuses.
Can I configure the status profile (user status and transaction control) in order to achieve this result? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to block the creation of a follow-up document for a specific status?
For example, if status = A or B, i can create a quotation as follow-up document and if status = C, I can't.
Is it possible via customizing or is it an enhancement?

Thir Party Sales with Status Profile and Credit Block

Hello All,
I have did configuration for Third Party Sales its working fine without Credit Block. The Problem is when I an creating a Sales Order I need to Confirm the Status to Rel and then save the Sales Order. Since the Credit of the Customer Exceeded So Purchase Requsition not created. I released the sales Order using T-Code VKM3 and then checked the Sales Order the Status again changed to Initial Status from Relesed Status and Purchase Requition was also not created.
Please suggest.......What is to be done.

Check your status profile setting for status "REL", in customizing ,may be Credit related transaction maintained for this status

check your ABAper to debug why system resets the status to initial after credit block release

User status profiles for work orders and sub-orders

Hi Experts,
I have the following question regarding status profiles for SAP PM work orders (but I guess it relates to all user status profiles).
Customizing
A status profile is defined for order type "PM_A", which contains an authorization key "OP" for certain user states (to be set by the ordering party)
Situation
The ordering party A creates an order of type PM_A for contractor B, and B then creates a sub-order of type PM_A for contractor C
Problem
- If I assign the authorization key "OP" only to roles of party A, then party B can't set the user states reserved for the ordering party (correct for the order A->B, but not for the sub-order B->C)
- If I assign the authorization key "OP" to roles of party A and party B, then B could set certain user states reserved for the ordering party in the order A->B, which is also wrong
Question
Is there a way to restrict sub-orders differently than "non-sub-orders", or do I have to create a "sub-order order-type" for each order type, in order to assign them different status profiles and authorization keys?

since you have 3 roles to be assigned to the same order type with different authorization ,it is better you create an seperate order type for sub order and assign the user status with authorization for B and C

Status profile and status change in opportunity

Hi All,
I have a business requirement to convert an opportunity type from one to another without creating another document
when user changes the status from in process to approved. Along with converting from OP6 to OP2, I have to change the status to in process also.How can I achieve this in CRM 7.1 version?

The status profile for OP2 and OP5 are different.
So just by passing OP2 in orderadm_h is giving an error status profile can't be assigned to OP2"
any suggestions to try some other way?

Status Profile and User Status for Support Message

Hi All,
We need to customize Status Profile and User Status Specifc to customer requriments.
we need the following Status for Support Message:
Open
Accepted
Rejected
Fixed
Retest
Closed
Note:
1] Only the Message creator should be able Set staus Open and Closed
2] Message Processor should only set status Accepted, Rejected, Fixed and Retest
I have created the Status Profile in BS02.
Can some one help me the steps or guide how to implement the above logic and restrict the status access between Message Creator and Message Processor

Updating User Status and Status Profile for a Project

Hi,
      I am creating a Project using BAPI_BUS2001_CREATE.
      which uses a structure BAPI_BUS2001_NEW for storing details of a New Project.
      It <b>does not have fields for User Status and Status Profile</b> , if any one of you worked on Project Systems, please tell me is there any way to update these 2 fields.
I have tried lot of FuncModules and BAPIs which deal with PROJECT CHANGE and PROJECT MODIFY but none of them has these 2 fields.
Please provide me some solution for this.

Status profiles in SO's and auth

Hi there,
I have a client that requires sales orders to be released. This can be achieved via status profiles. However, the client requires values to be linked to these releases. For example a sales person can create and release a sales order up to 500k, yet a manager must release it if it exceeds that value.
I have not seen anything in this line for sales. I know there are release strategies for Purchase Orders.
Has anyone had a request like this before?

there's no equivalent to a MM - release-strategy in SD.
i do not know what your intention with such a thing is ... why block a customer order of any amount? is this about credit limit checking (so to ensure the customer pays for what he gets)?

User status and action profile in campaign

I am in Marketing Planner and I have created new user status profile, I want to set that profile to use in campaign. I could not find where can I do customizing ( SPRO) to use my user status profile.
Is it possible that my campaign can have user status as well as system status?

In marketting planner application you cant use status profile( user status). Second thing is you cant even include new system statuses by simply modifying the status object. Because while determining statuses , its almost hard coded.So only way out is
add your statuses in the BADI they have provided.

How to restrict status profile for sales order.

Dear Friends,
Pl suggest me for follwoing scenario
►     As per business process for tender/ institutional sales and exports, the order is complete once the complete delivery and invoicing for the same has been performed.
►     It was also observed that a sales order may be modified (material, quantity, price etc) even after complete invoicing of the same has been performed in SAP.
     The requirement is Possibility to enable a control to restrict any amendments to the sales order after complete delivery and invoicing will be explored as per business requirements.
Is there any solution above scenario without writing any code.

Mr Atul,
My understanding is, you don't want your user to be able to change the pricing and order quantity once the order is complete, i.e Delivered and Shipped.
The status profile will not help you in the above scenario, Price/Quantity changes will not come up as Business transactions that can be controlled at Status profile.
Standard SAP restricts the price changes to a completed item of the order, so no need to worry about this.
But order quantity can be increased any time.
So to restrict the user to increase the order quantity you need to use the User-Exits that SAP provided.
Use the MV45AFZB user-exit program and form FORM userexit_check_vbap to code this.
