Status bar in BUSY mode while displaying bean calendar

Hi all
Iam using 10g Forms running from 10gAS.
We are using Java Bean Calendar for date picking.
As bean components run from the client's applet, i suppose calling a calendar bean should not have any server communication.
But while i call the calendar bean from my form, the status bar of the form window goes to BUSY mode until i select or cancel the calendar.
I have to justify the reason for this to my client asap.
So any help regarding this is highly appreciated.

Thanks Herbert, even i said the same to my client.But his question is "Whether the BUSY state just meant as waiting for user input or is there any middle tier communication that is happening from the form for the bean component.

My blue task/status bar at the bottom of the page is no longer visible. How do I turn that back on? The status bar feature under view does display it.

For some reason the blue status/task bar that would normally display at the bottom of the webpage (shows time, etc.) is no longer visible. That is the Windows Taskbar and not part of Firefox.
The Firefox Status Bar shows messages like Looking up and Waiting for and loading and Done.
If you do not see that Taskbar with Firefox closed then you may have hidden it.
Try to move the mouse at the bottom and see if you can pull it up with the left mouse button pressed.
If the Taskbar disappear if you open Firefox the check the Properties of the Taskbar to make sure that it is always visible.

IPhone 6: Where's the status bar in landscape mode?

I just got the iPhone 6 (I believe iOS 8.1) and my only problem is that it removes the status bar in when in landscape mode. I find it extremely annoying that I can no longer see the time, monitor my battery life, check whether if I'm even receiving a signal, etc. when I'm using apps such as Safari or Notes in landscape mode. Is there any way to get the status bar back like in previous software versions? So far, I hate having to switch to portrait mode, using the pull down menu, or pressing the home button just to see it...

Same here - I returned my original, same problem on the second one, and same problem on my son's phone. I called Apple tech months ago, got to a senior supervisor who assured me he'd get back to me, but never did.

PDFs load, I can see the status bar fill up, but dont display, Using Adobe Reader X on XP

Upgraded to Firefox 4, using windows XP abd Adobe X reader. PDFs load but dont display, followed the instructions but did not help

Adobe Reader X can only save reader-enabled forms. Adobe Reader XI can save all forms.

How to control an error message to display at the status bar or in a popup?

I find that one of the error message in an user exit display at the status bar in some conditions while
display in a pop up window in other conditions. Is there some way to control its display style as I want

If you want to display the text in a pop up window instead of the above process then use 'POPUP_TO_DISPLAY_TEXT' to display the message text in the popup.

I want to set the Progress bar in Busy mode,while we are going from one page to other page.
i.e When clicking the button,it shows the process is busy.Before going to that particular page it shows the message like"The page is opened".How To put the progress bar is busy?

Actually the page contains one button.When Clicking that button it goes to the another page or the same page.When I click this button,during the process time it has to show some message or we have to insert some image shows that the process is in progress.Before the coming page we have to put other message like the process is completed like that.

How to display a message on status bar while an LOV is active?

Can any suggest me that how can I display my custom message on the status bar of my form, while an LOV is displayed on the screen.
I populate an LOV in an Item in the form. I need my status bar to display a message while my LOV is Displayed and also this message to be there on the screen when we moves between the records on the LOV.
This can be partially achieved by 'message' built-in, but the text message so displayed disappears as soon as u move between the records displayed by the LOV.I want this to be retain there even when we move between records(the data displayed in the LOV) in LOV.
Can anyone suggest the solution?

hi i am not sure about displaying the information on status bar , what i feel is u can do something like this.
take one display item which shud be non database item and u can assign the message u want to display to this display item when ever u navigate thro' records.
i hope this can solve ur problem

Display error message in the status bar during PBO

Hi All,
I want to issue an error message on a program's selection-screen.
The thing is when I issue an error message inside PBO, all the text in the selection-screen are gone and replaced with lines.
So i displayed the error message in the status bar.
MESSAGE S074(Z4) DISPLAY LIKE 'E'.
But the problem with this is that it will allow to continue data processing.
What shall I do in order for my error message to behave as an error message and not as a status message?

after this use call screen 'your screen no'.
it will not lock the field.

Status bar no longer being displayed in browser

I am running an Oracle Application Server 10g (Forms and Reports services). When a form is displayed, it use to have the "default menu" displayed (action, edit,query...) and the "status bar" below the form. The status bar is no longer being displayed. I don't remember changing the configuration files (formsweb.cfg...) in anyway that would cause this.
Does anyone have an idea?

Are you refering to the browser status bar?
I'm referring to the oracle forms status bar which would display a frm-xxxxx error message should it occur. It was being displayed with all my forms, and now it is not.

Excel x86 2013 status bar missing in SAP

We are using SAP GUI 7.3 patch 7 and Office Excel 2013. With this combination, the bottom status bar in Excel does not display. I tried to apply some corrections, but I do not successful.

I checked this with the standard demo program
SAPRDEMO_SPREADSHEET_INTERFACE and unfortunately this is a limitation of the SAP inplace
mode.
This issue can be replicated outside of SAP by using the FramerEx application by Microsoft which
can be downloaded for free.
You can download this from here:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/vc60pro/mdi/1/win98me/en-us/framerex.exe
If you use this program and use the File -> Open and select any valid .xls file,it will open in the same manner as the inplace mode in SAP
You will notice the status bar is missing in this case too.
This is the same technology that SAP use to display the inplace files.

Warning Message in status bar

Hi all,
I have an enhancement in which i need to pass a custom warning message through badi ' INVOICE_UPDATE ' in the status bar for TCode MIRO, i am able to display the message with a popup screen but i am unable to display it into status bar.
How can i display that warning message in the status bar ?
can we pass the custom warning message through a BADI into the status bar ?

if your system settings are normal system warning message will always come in the status bar only
any way click on customizing of local layout icon in standrad tool bar (in any screen),
goto options
inthat see the options tab, in that ,if check box wiht 'dialogue box with warning message' is checked ,
un check the check box,
click on OK
now execute your code normally and see

Status Bar message

I have web Dynpro iviews in portal which are arranged in Worksets and roles. When we click on any role or workset, it is observed that the status bar message is changed accordingly. A long message starts displaying in the status bar due to Loading of the requests and directing to the pages and iViews . I have a requirement where either the status bar can be made to display only some fixed message or Status bar do not display any message at all. This needs to be done in whole portal. Please advice.

For disabling the Status bar, just add the below line of code in Masthead (between JS code)(com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead) & redeploy.
window.document.statusbar.enable = false;
For setting default value in status bar, use:
window.status="Welcome";
and remove all occurances of mouseover.

Status bar, RGB colour as 0-255

Is there a way to show RGB values as 0-255 rather than percentages in the status bar? The RGB option displays floating point numbers, then there's percentatge and HSV options only in the prefs.

If you have a really good reason to do so (otherwise, just for fun) you can build the ability in a project.
Here's an example:

You can drag the RGB 0-255 group to your Favorites folder in the Motion Library for reuse.
All it is, basically, is 3 number generators (animation turned off) linked to the red, green, and blue color values and scales these to 2.55 times their value. The way Numbers works is the value will be 100 times what you might expect (you can choose different display types -- my preference was Hexadecimal -- aka HTML color).
It's not that difficult to retrain yourself to see number values as decimals or percentages. The range 0 to 255 comes from the Hexadecimal representations translated as base10 values. It really doesn't matter what the "counting" system is, the 3 values represent magnitudes and RGB color is relative to the combination of magnitudes (including saturation and brightness). If any one of the 3 values is 0, the saturation is 100%. All 3 values equal to each other, the saturation is 0%. All colors are the combination of any 2 values with the third value "contributing" to the desaturation (or 1 value and the other 2 equal to each other contributing to desaturation). The maximum of any of the 3 values determines the brightness. If you know your color wheel, that pretty much covers it.

Error Message Displaying the status Bar not like popup message

My Requirement is while creating invoice if pricing conditons is repeted , system should thorough the error message like (uplicate Condition Types Are Not Possible in the status Bar but Im getting poup Error message So I want to display the same message in the status Bar.

If I put message type 'E' its Displaying popup message , MESSAGE ' Duplicate Condition Types Are Not Possible.' TYPE 'E'.
If I Put messge type 'I' its Displaying in Status Bar .

Displaying Status Bar

Hi,
I am having an application which consists of JFrames on which JInternal Frames are added through JDeskTopPanes. I am facing two problems :
1. When I iconify the JInternalFrames, I am unable to see the incons in the bottom of the JFrame.
2. How can I construct a status bar to JFrame with provision to display messages?

Here is some example code that shows internal frames inside a JFrame. There is a status bar at the bottom of the JFrame. If you run this code, you will see the status bar being updated whenever you move or resize one of the JInternalFrames. Hope this helps...
