Status bar removal...

In the past when streaming movies and TV shows, when advancing to full screen mode, a black status bar with the site address appears atop the online video controls obscuring their view and use. To access the pause button and other options,
I must use the escape key on the pc keyboard and return from full screen to the downsized window. Then and only then can I review a part of the movie or show I already viewed or just to pause. This has become quite annoying as this had never been the case
in previous years.
Why is this occurring as it serves no logical purpose except nag the viewer when trying to enjoy a favorite show or movie. HOW CAN I VIEW MY CONTENT WITHOUT THIS INTERFERENCE?

Removing the 'Warning Java Applet' Status Bar

Hi,
I've written an applet that does not require access outside the sandbox so doesn't need signing. However, it pops up an instance of Window, and because it's not signed the window has a status bar across the bottom which says 'Warning Java Applet' or something similar depending on the browser. Is there any way to remove this status bar without signing the applet or changing the security settings of the browser. I guess it must be added to the window so maybe it's just a component that can be removed, but how?

Today the Security Warning sign appeared at the bottom of my computer screen - how do I get rid of it. I do have Java whose icon used to be in the lower right hand section of my screen - along with all the other icon programs that I have.
Now the icon is no longer down on the bottom right of the screen, but in the middle with a Security Warning -(the wording) next to the jave icon.
This is really annoying me - how can I get rid of it, and - why did it appear here?

Removing Status Bar from Application Window

Hi all,
Is there any way to hide/remove status bar of browser window?
I tried removing it through following line of code:-

Firefox Sync (Weave) 1.4b2 removes status bar icon

After updating Sync to 1.4b2 the status bar icon is removed. This is annoying as i use a third party password manager.
Why has it been removed or where to ask for Sync support?
Please help, Sync is a life-saver!

How to remove white status bar (or navigation panels) in photo app

Since I downloaded the new iOS7, the status bar (or navigation bars on top and bottom) in the photo app stays and is white. With the older OS version, it was black and disappeared after a couple of second. Now the white bar stays and you do not have a full view of the picture (top and bottom is cut off when holding it lengthwise) Any idea how to remove this? Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "status bar". There are two navigation panels, one at the top and one at the bottom. No, you can't remove those if that is what you mean.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Removing status bar from a frame window in Netscape

Hi
I am generating a window from an Applet, that window is showing as "Unsigned Applet" on the status bar of a frame in Netscape, but not in IE.
After going through couple of news groups, I have signed jar and cab file. Still it behaves the same way.
Problem here is, when there is a status bar, some of components are portially visible. If I increase the size of a width, it looks ugly in IE.

Stopping or Removing Status Bar Icon (Android)

I use my phone for many things and BT SmartTalk is a small part/aspect. And with limited screen space, I definately can't justofy another icon in the status bar and the SmartTalk App running the entire time. I need to run t when I want then exit.
Using Settings > Apps > Force Exit after every occasional SmartTalk call is just stupid.
So, do BT think they are the only think on a smartphne or how to I get the app to exit and get rid of the icon
(I have already switched the default calling back to the phone as SmartTalk is just an occasional thing).
Interestingly, when I was doing a Google search for the answer, there were quite a few user reviews where loads of people had been saying about this daft icon - so I am far from alone in my wish to get rid of it and get the app to exit and stop using system resources).

How do I remove the status bar from iPhone apps on the iPad?

Whenever I go onto an iPhone app on my ipad I have recently had the status bar covering up some of my game. Here is an example: http://i.imgur.com/Q9xnYhT.jpg
As you can see the score is hidden, I have gone through the settings and can't find anything,please help! It only started doing it when I reset my settings and updated to 7.1.

Same problem...seems that this is for apps that are for iPhone and/or for both...but not for ones made just for iPad!
Used to be able to click the 2X and the app would go full screen...not anymore...Apple you need to fix this!!!

Or do you mean the floating message that describes the current activity of the browser (for example, Waiting...) or shows the URL of the currently hovered link?

Can't remove add ons from status bar

I added weather apps at bottom status bar after app dissapeared. The new ones take up the whole bar and I don't like it. Now I can't get rid of them.

how did you uninstall that software? did you simply trash the application? that wasn't the proper way to do it since the app used an installer to install. there should be an uninstaller that came with that app. try using that. you might have to reinstall that software first. if that doesn't work then you have to search out what exactly that software installed. there could be login items. check those in system preferences->accounts. or there could be some launch daemons. check homedirectory/Library/Launchagents, /Library/launchagents and /Library/launchdaemons. but definitely try the uninstaller first.

Is it possible to remove the "Personal Hotspot" note in the top status bar?

As you can see here, an additional status bar is shown, which is kinda annoying me when i'm using apps and other things, since the screen is kinda moved out of the screen, kinda hard to explain. Is there any way to get this message away from my screen?

You can install the Status-4-Evar extension to regain some functionality from previous Firefox versions that was lost with the removal of the Status bar.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" after you have installed the Status-4-Evar extension and drag the items (Status Text, Progress Meter, Download Status) upon the Add-ons Bar (View > Toolbars > [X] Add-on Bar)<br />
