Status_code_error

I'm getting STATUS_CODE_ERROR when trying to sign in to App Store to update a product on Mac.
What's changed? I've just updated to 10.10.2
I can sign in to App Store from other devices so not a password issue.

Same problem here in Brazil.
It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone.

After updating to 10.10.2, when I try to authenticate when to download an iMovie update in the app store, I get a STATUS_CODE_ERROR message. How do I fix it?

Encountering STATUS_CODE_ERROR

This is the first time I'm encountering this weird error. Every time I try to log in to my Apple ID in the Mac App Store or trying to update an app, an error shows up: "STATUS_CODE_ERROR".

App Store: cannot log in: STATUS_CODE_ERROR

Neither She Who Must Be Obeyed nor I can log in to our separate Apple IDs at the app store. She started on the iPhone and had no error messages.
She and I have each tried on separate MacBooks and, whatever we enter in the password field, get:
STATUS_CODE_ERROR
In red, under the ID box.
This happens even when we enter the correct password.

Intermittent status_code_error service unavailable messages

Hi everyone,
I just got a new mac mini (2014) and overtime I go to download an app from the App Store or update an app that's already installed, or even in iBooks. When I navigate or download I'll get a "Status_Code_Error Service Unavailable" notification. I can press "Retry" and after a few times, it works. It has now happened for the last 2 days straight. It'll eventually work after I press Retry 2 or 3 times, so it's more of a nuisance than anything. But my internet connection works just fine (getting 50mbps up/5mbps down, and large downloads aren't hiccuping). I have good signal. All websites are working...
Is this a glitch? I tried restarting and logging in and out of iCloud with no benefit. Anyone else with this issue or any solution?

I'm having the same problem. I believe it's an outage of some sort. The same problem (can't download/update software apps from iTunes or the App Store) is affecting the iTunes store. I kept trying, and was eventually able to download some of the apps. Perhaps the updates for the new iWork apps (Pages, Keynote and Numbers were all updated just recently) is causing bandwidth issues? Just keep trying, or come back later and try again.

It's widespread - evidently there is a problem at Apple's end and it's just a question of waiting for them to fix it.

To make sure we are on the same page you are trying to access and download content the Mac App Store. From the time of your post, I do know that the multiple online stores were having issues with accessing content. Any time you have issues with connecting to any store, take a look at the link below to check the status of all of Apple’s services. If you cannot access that content now let me know.

Unfortunately, it seems like you may have been affected by a system service outage that has been noted by Apple. You can see the history of system services in the following link, and you can also scroll back in time to confirm that there was a system service outage at the time of your posting:

Apps cannot be updated as "STATUS_CODE_ERROR" after installing Security Update

After updating Security Update 2015-002 today, apps cannot be updated in App Store by showing "STATUS_CODE_ERROR" in red under the space of inputing Apple ID after I typed in the password. I have already tried a few times even restarting and I am sure that the password I typed in is correct. Does anyone face the same problem or have a solution to this? Thank you.

STATUS_CODE_ERROR when downloading xcode

Hello,
This morning, I installed vmware on windows 8, then installed Yosemite from some website, turned it on, and everything worked like a charm, but then I got a notification for updating the OS, so I started updating Yosemite while downloading xcode, then I had to restart after updating completed and I forgot that I was downloading xcode.
After updating and restarting, I went back to AppStore to re-download xcode, when I hit install, I window shows up asking me to log in, when I try to log in, I get this error:
STATUS_CODE_ERROR
I restarted, waited, tried again, but all the same.
Am I doing something wrong? or there's something else wrong with the AppStore maybe?

I have just had this problem as well, this morning. (Apple Log-In 11-03-2015)
I have just updated the latest OSX Security Update 2015-002, which updated with a restart. This was successful on my iMac and my wife MacBook.
However there is an iMovie Update Apple Version 10.0.07 which was in the App Update application, on both iMac and MacBook.
On both I received the STATUS_CODE_ERROR.
I have signed into iTunes, iCloud and also double checked by checking my ID status with the Apple ID Management facility. They all work with my Apple ID, so why am i getting this STATUS_CODE_ERROR.
This same STATUS_CODE_ERROR shows up on my wife's MacBook, which also allows her to sign in on iCloud, iTunes and the Apple Management facility without error.
This seems strange to me as these same ID's have to be used for the iMovie update?

Can't log in to Apple store; 'plist parsing error' after STATUS_CODE_ERROR

Two week old 15" MacBook Pro. I had two updates this morning, xCode command line tools and iMovie.
The xCode command line tools installed and restarted the laptop.
After that, I couldn't log in to the Apple Store to install iMovie; I got a STATUS_CODE_ERROR in the lower left hand of the login dialog.
I quit the App Store app, then restarted it, and tried to install iMovie again.
I still couldn't log in to the Apple Store to install iMovie; I got a plist parsing error in the lower left hand of the login dialog.
There is an Apple Support Communities string for STATUS_CODE_ERROR that has 1800+ entries, seems to be global.
