Status for releasing project

Hi,
I have a project which is in created status.We are getting the Budget distribution from Investment Prgm as we are linking measure to project. T code IM52.
I want to have a control without Budget Distribution to the project, Nobody is allowed to release the project.
Let me know, how can i achive it.

After the notes 1422722 & 1465106 is a service method available, which allow the customer to dis-able the evaluation.
CL_EVE_EXTRACT_FACTORY SET_ACTIVE
You can put a codes in some BADI method, which is called during save. Within the Badi-Implementation, call the SET_ACTIVE method, so that the evaluation not be tiggered (until the project get released.)

HELP - SWO1 - ERROR WHEN SETTING STATUS FOR RELEASED

Hi my friends,
I need to create a wf to PositionHR aproval.
I've already copyied the PDOTYPE_SH object to Subtype ZPDOTYPESH on SWO1 Tnx.
Now, I'm trying to set the object and methods status for "released". But SAP is giving me the following error message bottom:
- Please set required status for supertype first.
What can it be ?

Check whether object PDOTYPE_SH is in Released status (it is not released in my 6.20 system). Check if you can set the status of ZPDOTYPESH to Implemented. You should be able to work with the object in Implemented status. I suggest that you post a message on OSS whether SAP recommends using the PDOTYPE_SH object since they have not released it.

Hi Shkithija,
There is a dump encoutered in the form "PS_FLAG_GET_GLOBAL_FLAGS" for 'chk_precommit_ok' in the "BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT".
But it is showing SY-SUBRC = 0 when used along with BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
May i know what are input parameters we need to pass it to "BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT".
Do you have any idea.

Bapi or FM for insertion of status for PS project

Hi,
Is there any FM or BAPI through which we can insert status into Projects. in project defination (CJ01) or (CJ02) in basic data tab there is field system status. in front of this field there is push button for maintaining status of project. Where we can select status profile and status required.
I need some FM to insert status to created projects.

You dont have this option in any STD SAP t.codes, where you can change the status of the projects/WBSE collectively.
So use this BAPI to Read the status of Project/WBSE
BAPI_BUS2001_GET_STATUS To get both the active system statuses and the user statuses for a project definition
use this BAPI to Change the status of Project/WBSE
BAPI_BUS2001_SET_STATUS
one system status and one user status can be revoked each time, and one system status and one user status can be set each time for a project definition
For Network order status change
BAPI_BUS2002_SET_STATUS
Set/Reset Network Status. At the same time, you can revoke one system status and one user status, or set one system status and one user status in a list of activities for the network.

System Status of newly added project objects for a RELEASED Project.

Hi Experts
During the course of execution of project, we may need to add new activities.
However, as the project is released, the newly added activtity or project object attains REL status.
How to ensure CRTD status for the newly created object so that can ensure subsequent release by Higher Authority.
I think user status may be useful here but i do not know how to set. Please suggest feasible solution.

Release status is PS pass on for PS Objects. So, Create two no. of Level one WBS Element in your PS Structure. One for which you want release that structure you create under that WBS and Second WBS don't Release and use the same leg for your created status structuring.
And do not Release Project Definition, Let it be max. PREL only, Till your structuring process is over.
I think User status cannot help you in this case. ( Because user status reside between the System Status )

User status for establishing release functionality for new activity.

Hi Experts
My intention is to stop business transactions to a newly included activity in a released project.
I wish a release for the specific activity before allowing business transactions.
For this purpose i have created an user status z0001 as shown below:

20 rel Released 20 20 1 1
But, i am unable to trigger this for only activity that is newly assigned for the newly included activity.
Is there any means to get thje desired functionality?

Searching for a Project status = CLSD and open purchase orders?

Hi,
I am searching for a project status (Project Builder CJ20N) which allowed my to set a CLSD or a simillar status for settlement with open purchase orders.
This staus should allowed to process with open orders BUT not allowed to add new orders after setting this status.
Have somebody any idee? Or it is impossible?

I am aware of CN41N/CN43N transaction.
Is there a way to pull a report for a project with system status, user status and the details of who made the changes with date and time???

Hi
If you have change documents active for status management and project profile then you can get the data from JCDS table directly (changed status and who changed it). Note that you will get the status in SAP internal code and you need to refer TCJ30 table for status.

hi,
i am being requested to have a report with project details with the PO and PR.
but i were unable to find the table for the project status (TECO, REL) for a WBS element. may i know want table and what field they were being link?
aside, may i know under what table does the "budget assigned" to a WBS element located at?

Hi Ben,
in order to retrieve the status of a WBS element, please select into table JEST by object number (JEST-OBJNR = PRPS-OBJNR). This will give you an internal status code (JEST-STAT). Then go to table TJ02 with this internal code and select field TJ02-TXT04: this will give you the external status code.
For the budget, go to tables COSP and COSS, selecting by object number (OBJNR).

You will find all Release codes in T16FS
Release procedures are used in condition tables to control whether the condition types for these condition tables have to be read during pricing condition determination or not.
If the condition table status is released then only the condition types will be read during pricing determination. If the status is not released, then they can be used for information purposes or for simulation of pricing.
The release status is controlled by processing status too, which can be seen in condition record creation screen.
So in crux, the processing status with Release status help in simulation of pricing, blockign the condition records from being read during pricing etc.

Function to change CATS status to released for approval

I have a requirement where I need to change in batch cats records from status 10 to status 20 'released for approval'
I can't find how to change the status in BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_CHANGE
and another function CATS_APPROVAL only works for approving or rejection of records.
is there another bapi or function which I can use to change the record status of cats ?
or the other way around is also acceptable that I can set the status back from '20' released for approval to '10' locked.

when debugging cat2 I found a form which handles the release for approval. but I'm nog sure if there is more to it. for so far I can see it updates the status directly and that's it. when I go further on I come in the screenpainter prog. any clues if it's normal to use this code for my own abap ??
