Status light flashes. Apple on TV.

Been using Apple TV more frequently lately. All of a sudden status light flashing continuously and an apple on the screen. I have unplugged everything for an hour and still no luck. held down menu button and other buttons...no luck. Please help so we can watch Apple TV again! Do I need to "reboot"? If so, how!

Apple TV loses picture output and status light flashes rapidly after 5 minutes hooked up via HDMI - DVI cable

Apple TV connected to a 2005 50" plasma monitor with DVI input via belekin HDMI to DVI cable. Unit worked perfectly long enough to get it connected to the wireless network and begin the itunes registration process when there was a loss of signal message on the screen from the monitor and the Apple TV status light flashed rapidly and continuously. Reset and reboot yeilded flashing rapid status light and no output detected from the monitor. I contacted support online and was told to return the unit to the apple store. I returned home with another brand new apple tv and connected it in the same manner with exactly the same results. Is there something with the HDMI - DVI interface that is causing this? Are there known issues with the HDMI - DVI connection to Apple TV with older plasma monitors?

The Apple TV doesn't actually support DVI. Some have managed to get it to work others have had varying issues with it.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

My airport time capsule did not set up successfully, and then status light flash amber

I am the first time user of the time capsule, please help how to proceed?
I have set up the first time and my airport time capsule does not set successfully, then I try to reset to factory setting. After this, although I use the ethenet cable to connect the router to the airport, the status light flash amber, always, even after the reset.
Also, I can see that airport time capsule base station from the wireless network when airport is plugged in. However, when I want to access to it.

and I also follow your instruction that to set the IPv6 as local link mode. But still get the same error as mentioned in my first post.
Therefore, I have tried to use the bridge mode but could not find it, and therefore still can not set it up successfully, even though I reset the factory again(press the reset button 5 secconds at least).

I did a factory reset and it was ok ... past 3 days the problem has happened again ...
I changed the ap with a new but the situation remained ...
I tested the wiring and everything is ok.

I was checking another thing, usually the switches we use here in my work supports a maximum of 14W per port or 15.4w, this wap is consuming 15.2w
Is this the problem??
the strange to me is that,in this same sw I have several WAP and they all use 12.2w
The device type in sw for WAP usually appears as LAP1131AG-AIR-E-K9 ... but this WAP appears as Ieee PD ...
What problems do you think is it?

3 status lights flash rapidly only after unplugging it stop

Whenever I use Airport setup assistant to make changes to my existing setting, and when the base station should be restarted it stops sending a signal and then all three status lights flash rapidly and also simultaneously. This is a replacement base station as the previous had its wan port fried. When it was first plugged in it gave this same problem. Only after plugging out the power chord and waiting for say 1 minute, then plugging it back in did the flashing stop and the base station started sending a signal again. This also occurred during the first set up using airport admin utility. It hasnt happened since (when using admin utility)but continues to happen when I use airport setup assistant. Is it sumthing I should be worried about?

Sounds like your Airport Base Station is operating just fine - I wouldn't worry about it.

It flashes amber when there is some kind of conflict. If the internet is working but the amber light bothers you, airport utility ahould tell you why your airport is reporting a problem.
If airport utility thinks your airport is normal and the amber light bothers you, do a hard reset on the device

White status light on Apple TV (2d Gen)

The status light on my second gen Apple TV stopped working about a month ago. The unit appears to work just fine otherwise, although it did take about a week for the iOS 5 update to show up as available. Has anyone else experienced and fixed this issue?

Sounds as though it's failed.
One of mine died with a yellow flashing light.
Apple seem to have no interest in repairing them.
You could open it up and extract the small PATA drive if you have a use for that.

My Apple TV was set up and working fine. I attempted to move it to another TV and now I have a fast flashing status light and no picture. Imoved the device back to the original TV and still have the same problem.

Turn off status light in apple tv 3rd generation

is there a command that allows you to turn off the led status light on the apple tv 3rd gen
WITHOUT HAVING TO NAVIGATE TO HOME SCREEN>SETTINGS>SLEEP NOW.
it is in the bedroom and the led is bright and only goes out after a long long time.
you are watching Netflix for example. i'd like to shut apple tv off like you shut down the tv....
with a button press, not having to navigate when you are falling asleep.

N96 V30.033 Status Light flash

Hi there, I wonder if someone could help me, since the V30 upgrade of the firmware to the N96, the "breathing light" has been renamed to "status light" but it doesn't "double flash" when there is a new notification like a text message or missed call. Is there any way of reinabling this? also I've noticed that the options seem to be inverted. If i click on the status option to toggle on and off that's fine, but if it's set to off, and I choose menu then change, in bring a little table up where you can choose on or off, but when it's set to on, the radio button is in the off selection and vista versa, could this be another bug?

hmm it could be possilbe that it is in two parts now and you could also have the notification light option and events that you want your phone to notify you of. i am not sure tho as i do not have this particular phone

I turned on my computer and plugged it in after loging into Windows XP. iTunes wouldnt open and when I tryed to click it open it wouldnt work. I then safely took out my Shuffle and restarted my computer. Then repented the above process and no luck. Can someone please help me?

Airport Extreme light flashes green, amber, then goes out

When I pug in the Airport Extreme the led status light flashes green, amber, then goes out. Matters not if I press the reset button, unplug and press, or anything else.
So it seems I have power, but it will not work, and the light goes out.
Any Ideas?

How old is it?
See if you have a 12v power supply of around 2A around.. and try that.. sometimes the power supply goes.. but often it is the internal supplies.. in which case you cannot really do anything but replace it.
If it is less than 3years old and you have apple care on a computer Apple might replace it.. if you match all the requirements. outside 3years.. buy a new one.
