Status of Hub 2.0 type A and B issues and fixes

I have recently had lots of telephony issues with a type A hub and BT sent me a replacement which was a type B. This fixed lots of telephony issues. I now find that there are some serious issues with the type B eg xbox 360 live probelms ( does not affect me) and an issue with the link dropping when you access the hub and look at advanced settings/broadband/adsl. Personally I think that one is pretty serious!!! I also think the event log is a bit mysterious in the type B.
Anyhow what i was wondering was does any of the more experienced forumistas or perhaps one of the moderators know if there is a list of issues for type A and B HH's and what the status is . That is --are BT going to fix it or not ? and perhaps when ?

I dont have that problem this end, reset the home hub with a pen in the side and see if that helps

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get itunes to launch properly afterwards?

Authorisation combined with document type, activity and status

I want to create a role for a user who is only allowed to create and change document type ZDI in status IW .
Which object authorization can provided this check ?
The object authorization C_DRAW_TCD control only the activity (create/modify) and the document type (ZDI).
The object authorization C_DRAW_STA control only the document type (ZDI) and the status of the document (IW).
But I need the combination of the both authorization. Does a possibility exist in standard to do it without create a client new authorisation?

Thanks for your response.
But it doesn't works as I want.
The object authorisation C_DRAW_TCS is checked before the save but not after save with the changed values.
for example :
the user has the following authorizations in the modification role:
C_DRAW_TCS activity 02 document type ZDI document status IW
C_DRAW_TCD document type ZDI activity 02
C_DRAW_STA document type ZDI status IW
The user has also the autorisation C_DRAW_STA document type ZDI status FI in the display role
With this configuration the user can modify the document ZDI in status IW and change the status into FI . I don't want that the user can change the status into FI. Does exist a possibility to avoid this?
Of course, after storing this change of the status , the user can't access to the document ZDI with status FI.
SAP doesn't check the authorization C_DRAW_TCS activity 02 document type ZDI document status FI after status change.

Question About Type A and Type B Home Hubs

Hi there,
Can anyone simply tell me the differences between Type A and Type B Home Hubs, I cannot find this information anywhere on the BT site. Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for clarifying this information with me, would you say going for a Type B Home Hub is wiser than going for a Type A Home Hub? It's just we have seemed to have been issued with mainly Type Bs than Type As when upgrading the Home Hub as part of our broadband packages, this was from the Home Hub 2 where we had 2 when swapping from ADSL to Infinity to the Home Hub 3, we have so far never had a Home Hub 4 where there are 4 versions, 2 for ADSL and 2 for Infinity, this is also true for the Home Hub 2 as well as the Home Hub 3 plus we've never had a Home Hub 5 which I know there are 2 versions nor a Home Hub 1 where there was only 1 type of Home Hub 1 and Home Hub 1.5.

Cannot add hub-managed content type with external list lookup columns to a list -- Error:Id field is not set on the external data field

We are using SP 2010 Content Hub to manage our content types. On the content hub we've created a couple of exteranl lists, and then created some site columns as lookups against these lists. We then added the columns to one of our content types
and set it to publish.
After the publishing job executed, I tried adding the content type (which now appears on the subscriber sites) to one of the document libraries on one of the subscriber sites. When I did that it threw the following error:

The issue is not External Content type or external list but the look up column.
It's not possible to publish a look up column via the Content Type Hub.
If you need to do this then an alternate way is to use a Managed Metadata column instead, otherwise you will have to implement this via a feature.

How to track a status of release w.r.t PR and rel. group and rrel.code?

We have configured release strategy( Over all release stragey) for a particular PR type..
We have two issues..
1. We want to track the dates of different release status..Like when first level release and when second release happened and so on..From which table we can get this information..
2. We want to have release stragegy through work flow..The requirement is particular group PR should be go to one particular user for approval and once he approves later all PRs should go to one user for approval..
i.e. 1.Specific users PR should go to specific user for first level approval..Here mulity user for first level approval.
2. First level approval is over final approval should go to one specific user for final approval..Here only one user for approval.
Can anyone suggest something on this..

For both of your requirement you have configure the WORKFLOW for release strategy for P.O (or) P.R.
Please consult your SAP ABAP team they will do the config for the W/F (Workflow)
In that only you have first release date and second release date. In std release of P.O this cannot be achieved.

Movement type 561 and GL Account 24301000

I am trying to upload inventory through MB1C but receiving following error:
"field selection for mvmnt type 561 / GL AC 24301000 differs for settlement period (003)"

The field selection for Movement type 561 is not matching with the field selection of G/L AC 24301000. This is causing the problem.
Go to Tcode: OMWB, in this transaction you can check the difference between the field selection of movement type 561 and G/L AC, then change the field selection accordingly in SPRO for movement type (MM - Inventory -- Movement types -- copy movement types and Tcode: FS00 -- input the G/L account and company code, press enter -- click on tab- create/bank/interest, double click on the field status group, then check the settlement period whether it is suppressed, optional, required in both cases. They should be same in movement type and G/L field selection.

Creative Cloud Installation Failed Download Error - Error Type -7 and Error Code - 401

I subscribed to Creative Cloud in December 2012 and have been trying to install the applications, but the "Installation Failed" through the Adobe Application Manager. (see screenshot)
Here is a line from my log file:
01/08/13 11:08:48:346 | [WARN] | | ASU | PDApp | DownloadError | | | 6120 | Download Error has come with GDE Error type - -7 and error code - 401
I tried searching for the same error code in the "knowledge base" but couldn't locate any.
I am on a Windows 7 (x64) machine. I also have CS5.5 installed.
Anyone have this problem? Please help or point me in the right direction if you can. Thanks!

   I tried the above steps, with no luck. I have admin rights on both laptop and desktop I'm trying to install to. I have updated my AAM on both machines with no issue (when using the direct link above). But when I click the 'Try' link to download an application, it shows the scrolling status bar for a few seconds, then "Installation Failed" 'Download error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support. (-7)'   Retry only produces same results.
Both machines are running Win 7 Pro - SP1 64bit
     (laptop - 16 GB RAM & Core i7-2760QM 2.40 GHz processor)
     (desktop - 8 GB RAM & Xeon W3520 2.67GHz processor)
I am running in a corporate setting with I'm sure all sorts of Firewall protection etc...
I'm planning on asking for a CC membership, but wanted to check out the new features first....

Activity type AZAF and AZBU

Hi all,
I have a requirement to pull all the records from BSEG and BKPF tables for activity types AZAF and AZBU into BI.
I tried the DataSource 0FI_GL_4 and found that this extractor is not pulling any records of the above activity types.
We use these activity types for identifying DownPayment PO finance data and required to report the data.
Note: These activity types are already configured in our systems.
Do I need to do configure or need to crate a BADI to append these activity types data to flow into BI?
Please help me in resoving this issue.

This is been resolved.
The issue was if the records have BSTAT(Document Status) = 'S' (Notel Items), then it was not pulled by extractor 0FI_GL_4.
There is note 411758, after implementation, it will be resolved.

Movement Types U61 and U62

Hello Sudhakar,
Movements types U61 and U62 are SAP Standard. These are used when the Integration of MM with IS-U Device management specially During the device technical Installation using the movement type U61, then the from stock the device stack is reduced and the device status become INST.
Movement type U62 is same as device removal/Reverse/replacement the Device status is changes to ESTT.

EoMPLS Vc type 4 and 5 output

I understand that there are two types of EoMPLS, VLAN based (VC type 4) and port based (VC type 5). However, I am a little confused on the configuration and the show command output on the router.
I tried to configure port based EoMPLS using below configuration between the PEs:

Is there a difference in HomeHub V2 Type A and Typ...

So, with recent problems with my BroadBand connection, the good guys at BT thankfully sent out a new Power Supply, as it was making some odd noises and could have been causing the interference on the line. But, the new power supply had stickers informing me that it's only to be used with the HomeHub V2 Type A. My current HH is Type B. Thankfully, the box also contained another HomeHub which was Type A (this is my 3rd HH in 4 years!).
Anyway, joking aside. I set up the new Type A router and it's connected at a far higher downstream than the Type B. Also, the noise margin is much lower which (fingers crossed) means I'll have a more stable connection. Also, the strange noise from the power supply isn't happening with this version.
So, is there any fundamental differences between Type A and Type B? I have had intermittent problems with the HH V2 Type B router even since I got it, could they still exist in the Type A router?
The bit at the bottom reads "Software version 8.1.H.J (Type A)"

Well... The Type A hub has been known to have a few issues compared to the Type B hub. Although I had the Type A hub before I started using a DG834GT, I never had a problem with it. To add to this, they are made by different manufacturers:
Type A: Thomson
Type B: Gigaset
That is why the power supply states that you can't use a Type A power supply with a Type B hub or the other way round.

Is there any real difference performance wise between a type A and a type B Home Hub 2.0.

You are complaining that it is the worst service on the planet, agree on some parts especially re calling BT India, but the Forum Mods on here have been fantastic.
I had really slow speeds for the last 3 years with BT and the problem was down to the connection type. We where stuck in an Interleaved connection and we asked BT so many times to move it to Fast, since then we have not needed to reboot the home hub as much, my brother does not complain about his PS3 when i am downloading on my pc AND since removing the extention, the speed has increased even more.
Also look at other factors, why go to a broadband supplier that can offer 8 0r 20mbs when you live miles away and you can only get about 1 or 2mbs. If this is the case and BT Fibre is not in your area then i would use a cheaper alternative.
We have been able to achieve about 8 mbs and have seen my downloads starts at 1000kbps and settles to 860kbps ish at good times.
I am on a small exchange which the pipe into the exchange is of a low bandwidth (was advised this by BT Sales), but once fibre is in place, all this will increase.

Is there sample code for java side. How is the definition of input and/or output parameter and set/get methods?

Cemil - yes, you can use XML data types. Use the class
com.sap.lhcommon.xml.XMLDataType
for your parameter type. Here is a snippet from a custom action we use to log XML (instead of just returning the #text node like the default logger does):

XMLUtils is a helper class we wrote - it's just a bunch of standard Java XML boilerplate code. The important part you need to know is XMLDataType.getDocument() will return an org.w3c.dom.Document.

Account type M and G/L account with open item management not permitted

I am getting the following error while applying VL02N (PGI) is "Account type M and G/L account with open item management not permitted". Before I got an error like posting period and I have closed those posting periods 2008/08 and 2008/07. Now I am getting this error.
Please provide the solutions to overcome this and I want to execute the full transaction.
