Status of my application is showing Stopping from last 6 hrs

Hi,
I am not able to start my application "Planet" in "p1940097444trial account"
From eclipse and cockpit it is showing Stopping from last 6 hours.
I am not able to even kill the process.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Harshith,
I happened with me too! However, you can easily stop this process and retry. Go to processes and close all processes specific to your application. This should make your server in stopped status. Now, login to HCP and refresh the page. Manually stop the application. Now again try to deploy application from Eclipse on HCP Server connected to your trial account. This should get throug successfully. I am not sure why the process gets stuck randomly, but I am sure doing this would resolve your problem. I was able to.

Firefox shows windows from last time, how to clear last open tab?

I have Firefox set to restore my previous session when starting.
The last tab open doesn't have an 'x' to close it. When pressing ctrl+w it will close the window in such a way that next time I open firefox it'll restore the previous tab.
Is there a way to make it close the last tab then exit when ctrl+w is pressed? This so that I can have a fresh session by clearing the last one on exit.

Try doing this:
# Goto Tools>>Options and open the General Tab.
# Look beneath the Startup Section and check the "When Firefox Starts:" Field. If it is "Show My Windows and Tabs from Last Time", change it to "Show my Homepage" to display your home page or "Show a Blank Page" to display a blank page.
That should sort out your problem. If it doesn't let us know and we'll see what else can be done.

Epson PictureMate Shows "Stopped" After Last Java and Security Updates

Hi,
After installing the following updates ("Final Cut Pro Update" (5.1.3), "Java for Mac OS X 10.4, Release 5" (5.0), "Security Update 2007-002 (PowerPC)" (1.0), "Security Update 2007-001" (1.0) and "Daylight Saving Time Update" (1.0)). My Epson PictureMate started showing the dreaded "Printer Stopped" issue noted y many other on many other printers.
I've tried the Printer Setup Utility "reset printing system", removing and adding back the printer etc. The Epson Photo 820 still works fine. The PictureMate will also work fine from any other account. The account I'm using it in is not an admin acocunt, but a Standard account. The other family accounts can also use the printer, so the issue is local to my 1 main user.
I've downloaded and tried the "PSR" utility from www.fixamac.com. The utility doesn't find anything wrong, but it does complain about CUPS permissions (as did Apple's Disk Utility). I'm thinking the resetting of the printer system deletes a number of directories and when they are recreated they seem to come back with permissions the system (and PSR) doesn't like. Both utilities repair and don't find the issues again, but no joy on the printing.
I've also dumped the preferences with no change.
Since other users can print fine, I'm assuming CUPS and the printer drivers are OK. Any idea what other secret files in my User folder could be messed up and affecting the single printer?

There are a LOT of Java based exploits, so even 3.6.11 isn't fully patched, there are cross-platform exploits, and bots running wild.
Did you also remove your cache folders?
Firefox: I use 4.0 betas, NoScript I feel is a must.

Installed applications not showing up on last Lenovo S850 firmware

I have backup all my contacts and applications from my Lenovo S850 with Mobile Assistant (Magic Plus).
I have installed the last firmware VIBE_UI_v2.0_1447_7.5.1_ST_S850 on my phone with Lenovo Smart Assistant.
I have restored all my contacts and applications to my Lenovo S850 with Mobile Assistant. All went ok except that some of my restored applications are hidden and I cannot find them on my phone. When I have tried to reinstall them I got a message that I already have these applications on my phone. I have ignored the message and I have reinstalled these applications anyway but I still cannot find them.
One of these applications is Google Play Service.
I need help to find out how to discover if these applications are really on my phone and how to make them visible. Thanks.

I have a system with Windows 7 32-bit and several with Windows 7 64-bit. None of these systems have any problems installing Type 1 fonts or accessing same for typical Windows applications such as Word. Type 1 fonts are installed under Windows 7 (either 32-bit or 64-bit) by right clicking on the .PFM file for the font (where the assumption is that the .PFB file is in the same directory). Don't attempt to use dragon-drop to install like you may have with either Windows XP or Vista.
One further question might be whether you did a clean install of Windows 7 or you attempted some upgrade? Always do a clean install. Furthermore, do not even attempt to install the now-obsolete Adobe Type Manager product which is fully incompatible with Windows 7.

Show Dynpro from external application

I was wondering which possibilities exist to show a Dynpro page of an SAP application within another 3rd party application (written in Smalltalk).
As far as I know it is not possible to call an RFC which returns a Dynpro page, so which alternatives exist.
What came into my mind is the following:
- Using ITS and calling the respective URL from the external application to show the Dynpro in SAP GUI for HTML
- Re-Write Dynpro application in WebDynpro
- Re-Write Dynpro application in BSP
- Call BAPI/RFC to get application data on backend side and create an new UI to show the data in the 3rd party application
- Separate Logon to SAP systems
Do you see any other alternatives?
In my opinion the ITS solution is the only feasible way on a short term basis.
Any comments are welcome.

Looks like you've arrived at a pretty comprehensive list - depending on which version of SAP you are using, there's also the Web Service option to get data from SAP... or if you are very brave and the data is stored in a simple format (e.g. not BSEG!) then you could visit the database directly. You've got the usual dilemma regarding which of the 2 front tiers need to be implemented where - the SAPGui for HTML means you can leave everything to SAP which has its advantages e.g. consistent business logic...( you could also use ITS over custom dynpros built in ABAP - but that's probably heading away from the market trend )... the next two options require a re-rendering of the presentation layer - the advantage of BSP would be the richness of the result, the advantage of the WebDynpro would be the potential for having the output rendered in other SAP-supported GUIs in the future e.g. Flex. There may also be options around Citrix too - SAP training course here are presented this way via a browser-based solution.

Dispatcher status showing stopped for disaster recovery server.

today to test the data in our disaster recovery server for which we have log shipping every 30minutes we started the server in sap level during the process we can see that work +disp status is showing stopped.when i checked the log files in work directory it is showing below errors.

you should be sure if user SAPINPDB exists in the database system and it is mapped to the SAPINPDB user of the DB.... this if you use SQL Server, but the rule should be something like this in other DB systems!!!

What version of Bridge and Photoshop and what platform? Mac or Windows? I can point you to a downloadable installer.
If the cdrom was damaged, it may be the problem.
You would uninstall and use the CC/CS Cleaner to remove any remnants before reinstalling.

Maybe you need to check all delivery line status ..
All line status should be "Staged.." .
If there is any status not staged, System will show the error.

Apps installed from disk, but Application Manager shows them as not installed

I have all Creative Suite (Master) apps installed from disk, but Application Manager shows them as not installed. Why?

I find a way that could be firing this issue.
First, I installed Creative Cloud in spanish language, then installed some apps like DW, PS, FW, FL, and some more.
Then, some days ago, I realized that my apps were in spanish language, but I prefer them in english, so I switched the language of CC to english in settings options.
Now, these apps installed in spanish language are marked as "not installed" and I see the option to install them. And applications installed before language change, are fine and tracked for updates.
Maybe the issue is related to language changed, the CC manager can't track the language change.
Hope to find a solution in short time, this could be a major issue for someone.
At this time, I'm re-installing the apps in english, I think they must override the spanish ones.
I'm using MacOS 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion) on MacBook AIR, Core i7 (if that make sense)

Click the Finder icon in the Dock to launch it.
Open the Application folder and find the Launchpad application.

Exported slideshow from Iphoto11 to IDVD 7.12 so I could burn DVD for play on DVD player. Fine but show stops 1/2way through because DVD has 2 chapters. How do I eliminate chapters?

Try this workflow:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
Play the disk image with DVD Player and see if you get the same start over half way thru.
Did you create the slideshow in iPhoto in the slideshow mode?
or were you in an album and then used the Share ➙ iDVD menu option? What I'm trying to find out is if the slideshow in iDVD is a movie file or an iDVD slideshow with the photos from iPhoto? If it's the latter how many photos in the slideshow?

Security in showing attachments from Applications

I have problem with a custom developed application that shows scanned documents attached in form in Applications.
The url is something like:
http://server:port/folder/show_document?p_file=something.tif
Now my worries are, that this Url can be executed without even having to log in to applications at all.
You can be on any machine on the network, executing this url will display your scanned image without signing in.
Is there any profile value that can be setup, so that any page on "server:port/folder" must redirect to a signin page first (if not singed in) and then display the image?
Or do you have another suggestion?

Hi, I found a way of doing it, although it is a bit slow as you have to hide one image at a time.
