Status of suceessfull execution of an action definition

Hi
We have configured in CRM 4.0 for Sales Order Transaction that when a new order is created , Order Acknowledgment an email output format has to be automatically triggered to the concerned partner through action profile. In the action profile -- the processing mode of this action definition is set as 'When saving the document" & the icon corresponding to this action text is set to green after successful execution. This can be view in Action Tab of Sales Order transaction.
In the same way , Order Status -- action definition is also schedule in action dialog box which can be triggered by manually, at the end after successful execution the icon is set to green. This can also be view in Action Tab of Sales Order transaction.
Now how through a customized report, how to track the orders in which these action definitions are successfully completed.
Though application log is available but not able to fetch the records corresponding to the Order.
Pls advice,
Thanks & Regards
Deb

Hi
Thanks a lot.
Basically the table PPFTTRIGG contains the records related to parent Order.
Using the records we can fetch the status of execution as per the requirement.
Thanks & Regards

To open connection to SAP to login and investigate. Normally you do this from Service.sap.com/access-support.

  • WebUI Print Preview (Action Definition - Print) for Adobe Interactive Forms

    Hi All,
As mentioned in subject, how to define an CRM Action Definition (with or without Action Condition) to Print an Adobe Interactive Forms. We know how to define a setting for Print Preview function in CRM WebUI via Action Definition - Smartforms Print. Now we want to print preview from CRM WebUI document on Form designed in Adobe Interactive Forms (tx SFP).
We have tested using Action Definition - External Communication, we can set the AIF form here. We tested in GUI (tx crmd_order) and it works. But when testing preview on CRM WebUi it shows "Error in Smartforms".
Somehow it still detect as Smartforms instead of Adobe Interactive Forms.
We prefer if this preview can be done via Action, because it is straight forward function for printing.
Should we use Action - Method Call instead ? How is the approach to do it in Action - Method Call ?
Any one try this before? Appreciate your sharing here.
    Thx & Rgds,
    Gun.

    Hi Gunawan,
if I got you right, what you want is: Call your AIF when someone clicks on the "print preview" button in CRM WebClient. This should all work using a print action like with normal SmartForms.
I faced this problem some months ago on CRM 6. The problem here was quite simple: The SmartForm interface and the one of AIF are not compatible. Thus the service used for calling the print action from WebClient failed.
For handling this problem I enhanced the print service to call AIF correctly.
In customizing I used print actions that call a method.
As mentioned this lays back some months already. Maybe SAP came up with a better solution by now. I saw AIF to have multilple interface types. One is an interface compatible with SmartForms. Probably you can use this one and the print service will work without any enhancements or modifications.
    cheers Carsten

  • Extended events /actions definitions

One of the shortcomings I seem to keep stumbling across is that event action definitions are no where to be found.  I've been searching for weeks and can't find a resource from Microsoft which helps me understand the official definition for an action.
Has someone here found that resource or know where it is?

If you are talking about the descriptions of what they collect, then indeed the DMVs are the best place at hand currently still.
    Example query:
    -- XE Actions
    SELECT dm_xe_packages.name AS package_name,
    dm_xe_objects.name AS source_name,
    dm_xe_objects.description
    FROM sys.dm_xe_objects AS dm_xe_objects
    INNER JOIN sys.dm_xe_packages AS dm_xe_packages
    ON dm_xe_objects.package_guid = dm_xe_packages.guid
    WHERE
    (dm_xe_packages.capabilities IS NULL OR dm_xe_packages.capabilities & 1 = 0)
    AND (dm_xe_objects.capabilities IS NULL OR dm_xe_objects.capabilities & 1 = 0)
    AND dm_xe_objects.object_type = 'action'

  • Status Synchronization in Portfolio Item to Project Definition

    Dear Gurus;
This is my first time in custom the Synchronization andi need help to make this "Status Synchronization"in Portfolio Item to Proyect Definition.
I know that i can make this in the follow SPRO:
    1. Maintain DFM Business Transactions
    2. Map Business Transactions for Synchronization
    3. Synchronous and Asynchronous Status Synchronization
    4. Map DFM Business Transactions to Project / Initiative Business Transaction
    5. Map Portfolio Management Status to DFM Business Transaction
    6. Map DFM Business Transaction to Portfolio Management Status
I made all of this configuration but still not work.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Mariano

    Hi Santhosh;
First of all, you have to know that the function of Portfolio Status (Item or Decision Point) are "User Status" and in Project Status (Project definition and Phases) are "System Status", you can't configure Portfolio User Status to the Project User Status.
For Example: I have been setting the Item User Status "Suspended" that are synchronized to the Project System Status "Canceled", and it's worked fine.
    Do this steps:
    1) Maintain DFM Business Transactions -> don't touch this (SAP standard)
    2) Map Business Transactions for Synchronization -> don't touch this (SAP standard)
    3) Map Project / Initiative Business Transaction to DFM Business Transaction -> Here you have to map the source bus transaction to  the DFM bus transaction (are the same).
    PDCP PPO DX05 DFM5
    4) Map Portfolio Management Status to DFM Business Transaction -> It's the same as point 3, but in reverse.
    PDCP PPO DFM5 DX05
    5) Map Portfolio Management Status to DFM Business Transaction -> Here you have to set the old status to the new status (i used to define the Item Status to he DFM Business transaction).
    PPO Item PDCP 185 190 DFM5
    6) Map DFM Business Transaction to Portfolio Management Status -> It's the same as point 5, but in reverse.
    PPO Item PDCP DFM5 190
    Hope this help you.
    Best regards.

  • Reuse Action Definition

System is not allowing me to use the same action defintion in more than one Action profile. can somebody explain the logic behind this?
I want  to use the Action ZSEND_EMAIL with different smartforms   in multiple Action profiles  and  the Action determination will pick the Action profile based on Sales org.
    Regards,
    Shaik

    Hi,
I agree this is the standard behaviour in SAP CRM, not sure about the reason.
But I dont see any harm in using different Action Definition Ids since the respective Description/Text could be as per you requirement as that is what appears to the user in WebUI/GUI.
Although if you find out the reason, request you to share the same.

  • How to get status of last execution of a scheduler job

    Hi,
I am trying to write a pl/sql code that can manually the scheduler job (one time type/ not a repetitive) which are in retry scheduled state.
even after execution is successfull job is not dropped even if i set auto_drop to true.
I need some way to capture execution status of dbms_scheduler.run_job('job_name');. based on which i can manually drop the job if it is successfull.
taking the value from dba_scheduler_job_run_details doesn't seem to be good option as there may be multiple logs and we don't what time interval we need to match.
can anybody help me in this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I'm a little confused at what is happening. It sounds like the following is the case
    - You have created a run-once job and set restartable to TRUE and auto-drop to TRUE. It has failed a few times and is now in the RETRY SCHEDULED STATE .
    - Now you have fixed the issue and want to force a rerun and drop the job if it has succeeded.
If this is the case you have several options.
    - just wait until the job has retried itself, you can see the next scheduled date in the dba_scheduler_jobs view
    - use dbms_scheduler.run_job(use_current_session=>false) . You will have to monitor dba_scheduler_job_run_details to see the status of the job run but you can easily use log_date to figure out which row is your row. Just select the row with log_date > sysdate when you called run_job. If that run succeeds, you will manually need to call drop_job.
    - use dbms_scheduler.run_job(use_current_session=>true) . Because this runs the job action in the foreground it will hang until the job action has finished. Any error will be thrown as a foreground PL/SQL error. If there is no error, the action has succeeded and you can go ahead and do a drop_job.
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Change status of Follow-Up with an action profile

    Hi,
I would like to create an action profile for the following function:
After creating an opportunity with a Follow-UP (quotation), I would like to change the status of the quotation if the opportunity is saved.
Is there any BADI which provides such a functionality?
Has anyone an idea for solving that problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Nicole

    Hi Masthan,
    yes, I solved that problem.
There isn't any BADI which provides this functionality, you have to implement it on your own. (new BAdI under SPRO -> CRM -> Basic Functions -> Actions -> Actions in Transactions -> BAdI Processing Methods)

  • How does Status column in Execution Window get set?

Thanks to Jonathan for the reply to my last post.
I have a couple of inter-related questions on step-types.  I understand the difference between a Pass/Fail step type and a Numeric Limit step type is that the code module being executed in one case returns a Boolean whereas the code in the other case returns a numeric.
I looked at the "Edit LabVIEW VI Call" dialog for a LabVIEW Pass/Fail step type and I noticed that the Boolean passed by the connector pane went to "Step.Result.PassFail" in TestStand.
Q1. What exactly is "Step.Result.PassFail" called?  Is it a "Parameter", a "Variable", or simply the property of the "Step" object?  In other words, how would I refer to it in a discussion?
Q2. If it IS a parameter, then when I use the expression browser in the "Edit LabVIEW VI Call", why do I see ANOTHER object (at the same level as "Step") called "Parameters"?  I do realize that this "Parameters" object does not contain anything until run-time.
From the viewpoint of a sequence itself, eventually each of these steps (Numeric Limit OR Pass/Fail) lead to a Passed or Failed (or Skipped) result as we see in the Execution Window.
Q3. I assumed that that result in the Execution window is tied to "Step.Result.PassFail".  Is that true?
With that in mind I studied the "Status Expression" for a Numeric Limit Test and this is what I found:
    CheckLimits(Step.DataSource == "Step.Result.Numeric" ? Step.Result.Numeric : (Step.Result.Numeric = Evaluate(Step.DataSource)), step.limits.high, step.limits.low, step.comp)
Q4. There is no mention of Step.Result.PassFail in the expression above.  Why not?  In other words, how does the comparison with limits get translated to the Status column in the Execution Window?
    Thank you.

    Hi 2and4,
Answer to Q1: Its a property of the Step or Result, depends where you are referencing from. If you are unsure then quote the lookup string eg "Step.Result.PassFail".
Answer to Q2: You are probably referring to the Parameters which belongs to the active sequence you have displayed in the sequence editor. Its empty because you have no Parameters defined in the sequence. Try this, in your active sequence, select the Parameters tab. Insert a Parameter, it doesn't matter what it is. Now view the Sequence Context by the Expression Browser. You should now is a + sign next to Parameter. Expand this and you will see you Parameter you inserted.
Answer to Q3: Yes, the actual result or status is in Step.Result.Status which is a String. This can be "Passed", "Failed", "Error", "Done"
Answer to Q4: If you look at the Status Expression for the PassFail step, you will see it has a different expression. The PassFail doesn't do any limit checking. If Step.Result.PassFail is True then the step passes and if False it fails. It's that simple.
    I hope this helps.
