Status on RE:Reporting after many forte tasks run

Hi,
To trap error message from Forte log, I usually do this
egrep '(EXCEPTION|Exception|exception|ERROR|Error|error)' filename
This takes a regular expression to 'egrep' all occurrences of "exception" or
"error" not matter they are in upper case or lower case.

Actually, if you're looking for MAKEAPPDISTRIB (I assume that's how you
create distributable) you can see if the command was succesfull or not.
<<deployrep.js>> This Jscript will look for this string and it will
generate a report based on the next line in the log file.
The script assumes you have an environment variable (DESCARTES_ROOT) that
points to a folder (let's say "D:\TEST"). Under that folder you have a log
folder ("d:\test\log") which holds the deploy.log log file. You can easily
change the script to reflect your systems settings.
The generated report looks like that : <<deployrep.txt>>

How can I get Status of the report using after report trigger

I want to get Status of my report on GUI . I am aware that we can look into XMLP_SCHED_OUTPUT table to get all the required details but I am not aware as how I can pull data from this table and make it available on GUI screen. Or is there any way to use jobid of the report and use in Data template of the same report?
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

What/which GUI? One of your own making? Design it and query from the table(s) of interest, and populate fields based on the results. Which job ID? The latest or one of your choosing? Add a drop down list or menu and let the user select which job. Fairly vague requirements you've listed.

Cannot set status of Urgent Change after manual transport

Hi all,
We are usng CHARM in Solution Manager 7.1 for import to the SAP ECC (EHP6) systems.
I cannot set the status of the Urgent Change document (ZMHF) to status "To be Tested" after the transports were manually released and manually imported to the ECC QA system.
When I use action "Pass Urgent Change to Test", the system stopped with error "Not all task are yet released" and will not change the status .
Based, on the Task List log, the system started the release process although no transports were released.
Is there any way that I can update the status of the Urgent Change document to "To be Tested"?
I tried program CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT but still did not change the status.
Any suggestion?

have a look under System Administration - System Configuration -- Knowledge Management -- Configuration --Content Management -- User Interface -- Commands -- UI Command Groups -- StatemanagementGroup.
See Java class: com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.cm.UIStatemanagementGroupCommand. Take the class and decompile this and everything needed around to understand how this class works.
Then you can choose to extend this CommandGroup to also have a command "Resubmit for Approval" or you can implement your own UI Command only for resubmitting (you will also have to activate your command (group) by settings within the configuration).
On the other hand, if all this is completely new to you, I'm a bit sceptical if the task isn't a bit too big as a first task on KM implementation topics...?

Hi, I'm new to ITSM and the client asking me how he can change the status of an incident, after he change it to "Confirmed". Is there a way to change the status of an incident after it is set to "Confirmed"? Or can I change the configuration of the Status field to allow that change?

I dont think, you can reopen the confirmed ticket by standard, but please try with the report CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT.
if not try with the status profile customization, remove the FINI settings from the confrimed status also change the highest and low values also accordingly.

OutOfMemoryError after many redeployment on Integrated WebLogic Server

Hello everyone.
I noticed that deploying many times the same web application on the Integrated WebLogic Server I have the following message:
<Critical> <Health> <BEA-310003> <Free memory in the server is 4.087.912 bytes. There is danger of OutOfMemoryError>
Typically, shortly after this message, the application crashes and the following error appears:
<Error> <Kernel> <BEA-000802> <ExecuteRequest failed java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space. java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space>
This behavior happens when I redeploy many times the same application (around 15 / 20 times) using the start function from the index page or the adfc-config task-flow. This behavior doesn't happen if I undeploy first the application.
It happens with different applications and also in different JDev versions (e.g. 11.1.1.3, 11.1.1.6, 11.1.2.3).
Please also notice that the time of deployment increases with the number of redeployment. It seems that each redeployment fills a quantity of memory, that terminates after many redeployments.
There is some shrewdness to take for redeploy applications?

thanks for your response. Yes, currently restart the Integrated WebLogic Server is the action that I perform. I could prevent the error stopping the server after 5 / 10 redeployments, but this could happen often, especially if I'm working on back-end side.
My question is only to avoid to lost time for any restart of the server. If there is no solution to prevent this, patience.

Can't Solve the "Too Many Clients Tasks" Problem

I am creating a java desktop application , and i keep getting this error message:

Any way ,i googled for this error and i found that because i creates many connections with database "more than 10 i think " , and that why i get this error message ..
The problem is that i do not know how to solve it , i tried to close the connections and i still getting the same error

i am still getting the Too Many Clients error
and i am closing every connection i created after the end of every function .

Is it possible to maintain the last AO value after the DAQmx task is done on device DAQ USB-6341 ?

I use the device DAQ USB-6341 to generate the desired voltage waveform by the "finite samples" sample mode.
I notice that the channel resets to zero volts after the DAQmx task is done and the DAQ USB-6341 does not have
the property AO.idleOutputBehavior to select "Maintain Existing Value".
How can I maintain the last AO value after the DAQmx task is done on device DAQ USB-6341 ?

How many computers do you have in the network?
What is the IP address and default gateway number on your computer?
In order to connect to the wireless network, WVC80N should get valid IP address from the access point.
If the access point has capacity to assign a private IP address to the computers and devices then I think you can use WVC80N.

In my Standalone Java Swing application, iam using connections to the MS-Access Database using Connection pooling..Iam initializing around 10 connections. After executing, performing some operations on application, after sometime...i get the SQL Exception Too many client tasks exception..
I have checked my programs..iam closing all my result set and prepared statements..
Where am i going wrong?

remember access has a max number of connection to handle which you are not closing. you close only resultset and statements

we have 2 application servers with one CI/DB, maxusertasks is 500
we figured out a livecache pb, with the following error messages
(db analyzer)

before we had the warining: UTK5 is running 1804s, CPU 50% and CPU 100% (LC)
we have checked knldiag/knldiagerr files and we are unable to find what is the root cause of the problem?
How could we analyse this issue and find the treatment which triggers this issue?

We need additional information about the liveCache version, OS of the liveCache server; more details about situation when the issue occurred. Run "x_cons <SID> sh all 10 10 > task_info.txt" when the issue occurred to collect more information.
Check if the savepoint task is active - "x_cons <SID> show active".
Is the issue occurred during high loading to te liveCache?
Please review the SAP note 1391322 where the SPORADIC standstill in high load situation is also described, this issue is already fixed in the new liveCache releases.
This situation occured sporadically. It will be helpful to login to your system for further analysis of the reported issue to get clear if your system run into this known problem because the savepoint was hanging, because of that you had big amount of the user tasks which were hours in the state 'Prep-End' until the liveCache restart.

the increasing of the liveCache parameter will not help you to solve the issue. >

Inspection report can be printed from QA33 t_code.
There are some pre requesites for this,
i) In material master 'Inspection with task list' and 'Check characteristics' should be activated.
ii) Inspection plan for that material should be present.
iii) Record results for these inspection characteristics and take Usage decision.
iv)In QA33 t_code, u can see 'inspection report tab' . click on that tab.
v) Give output device and see print preview.
U can see inspection report with all details.
